The Endless Humiliation…

Posted by Zo3o

So, here’s a little story that happened in LAU Byblos Campus that i would like to share with you.
The LAU elections is to be held this Friday on the 11th of December. And as usual, during the crucial week of the elections, all parties work hard on promoting their campaign. Chants, slogans, promises, and loud cheers fill the LAU corridors with each party working hard on gaining the votes of the more neutral people. Here’s a little background on the election system in LAU Byblos Campus:
The 2 main rivals of these elections are composed of the L.S.F (Lebanese Student Front) representing M14 having the majority as LF, and the Social representing M8, having the majority Tayyar. The elections have a total of 12 seats (3 for the School of Architecture and Engineering, 3 for School of Arts & Sciences, 3 for School of Pharmacy, and 3 for School Business). So to sum things up the battle is mainly between LF & Social.
Now, as we all know the Aounists have lost almost all their elections, being in universities, or in the na2abet. LF have secured wins in NDU, USJ, and AUB. So one might assume that LAU is the Aounists last chance to get some dignity back and probably give a small bit of hope back to their supporters.
And what dignity they have shown!
In a desperate and foolish attempt to swerve the elections their way, the Social (i.e Aounists), tried so pitifully to hack Hotmail and Facebook accounts of people who work or are affiliated to the LSF whether being in terms of leadership or support by sending fake log in screens to inboxes and naming the message “Mich Masmouh”. Shamefully and regretfully though, the mighty orangists have succeeded in hacking into 2 LSF members’ email. Now the story gets even better, inside the inbox of one of these members was an email written by an ex LAU LFer who graduated, in this email was a letter of great support to LSF, about how LSF has influenced her in many great aspects, it also praises the LSF and wishes them great luck for the years to come. Orangists having hacked and read that email, simply changed the name LSF, and instead put the name Social, then published it online via social networking sites such as Facebook to discredit the loyalty of LSF members.

Now, I know orangists need this win badly, I know that if they lose this, they’re screwed, but to go down to this level and humiliate yourself is something I thought even a Aounist would not dare to do. I mean one would expect that from a SSNP, but from an Orangist? Have they really sunk to that level of Humiliation? Have they really sold their dignity for such a cheap price?

What SHAME…What Idiocy…

In the past years, Aounists have shown us all sorts of lies, contradictory thoughts and actions, threats, and limitless stupidity. Yet they managed to introduce the idea of dirty politics so exquisitely in the past years that it would make the Syrians look like pure amateurs, as depicted in the story I have just shared with you.

Finally, let it be noted that I am NOT publishing this here to campaign for a party, I am publishing this here to show people the level of dirty politics that some have reached. But let it also be noted that I refuse to have the university I attend to be run by a bunch of thugs. So, like many, I am waiting anxiously for this Friday and what it will bring with it. Some are already treated as losers, be it so, good luck to LSF and looking forward for a nice 12-0 win…Thank You…

Maybe Lebanon is the only country in the world where we have elections all year around, and the results don’t affect anything.

Al sila7 baken baken baken, announced the democratic party of God ;-)

Anyway the result will never be known, FPM mathematics will show you that 70% voted for them whether they win or lose :-)

hochoz don’t be surprised, they started by calling him Napol3aoun but it sounded stupid, so they burned the country to be able to call him Mr. President but it didn’t work, then they started calling him prime minister but it wasn’t impressive enough so they now they try to call him patriarch…..

I’m the LAU graduate who wrote the LSF article that was stolen. It’s really so low what some people can do just to get on top. Its such a shame theyre not using all those efforts to build a good campaign instead of imitating ours!
    Best of luck LSF!

It’s all a joke and these elections hve zero impact on anyone except for stupid and useless bragging rights to the winner. It is really sad to see how the state of our national universities have sunk to such a low level, when all we hear coming out are political rhetoric from such or such party which spews the venom of hatred and divisiveness as opposed to engaging in a civil debate and exchanging important ideas related to the future of the nation! This is what universities are all about in the first place. shou men 7ebb nerja3 la wara bel hal balad!

  11. kezballah says:

paul ROTFL as usual :-D tle3na “shi3let” zaka men hal marbad :-)

hochoz thanks bro, I was enjoying to read all you guys comments but the politics keep getting more and more disgusting in this country, when they all start visiting Syria again I will have to take a vacation very far away so I don’t hear or see anything about it. I will go somewhere sunny and warm where they don’t have H1N1 (or like we say now in Lebanon 2aysh we7id 2an we7id :-) )

  12. avi says:

K too bad you can’t visit Israel…..anyways try Australia cool country!

  13. PIERRE says:

Politics should be removed from the universities. School elections should be about improving that particular school and should have nothing to do with a national cause.

  14. Zo3o says:

..Again..Let me clear things out…this post is NOT about university elections, its just to show you the level that they have reached…

  15. Mike says:

Australia is nice. Beautiful chicks and 500,000 Lebanese.
