Nadim Gemayel

Thursday, September 14th, 2006

I used to be a big fan about thay guy and that used to intrigue me a lot because i am usually against feudalism but he just reminds me of his dad and that used to get into my feelings everytime i use to look at him. That all changed when he joined the kataeb. It is not because that he must join the LF but i couldnt understand this move.

After doing lots of thinking, i came out with only one explanation. Whether we like it or not, a good part of the Christian people have negative feelings, and sometimes pure hatred towards the Lf these days, from this point of view, i guess Nadim, or to be honest Solange, thought that there’s only one way to start Nadim political life without having to hold that weight represented by this hatred, and that way has to be related to bashir personally, so she came wit that idea of starting exactly in the same manner that Bachir started and that way, Nadim can claim the LF base without having to be in the LF.

As innocent as this may sound, but to me i felt betrayed, stabbed in the back, left behind and abandonned when Nadim did this. I know he is free todo whatever he wants, but to be under the command of Amine??? For those who know the past of Amine, they know what i am talking about and i am so damn sure that Solange know that past.

Anyway, good luck Nadim in your new kataeb path, i wish you all the best, but i will never be part of you team.

Lack of Planning

Saturday, May 6th, 2006

Dear readers,

As this is my first post in these blogs, I chose to make it an economical post as i am fed up from politics these days. What really intrigues me is the fact that we are suffering under a huge national debt and it seems no one cares about it (by no one I mean politicians). I understand that we have more important issues to deal with, I understand that we are under a severe attack and that the current process will affect the future of Lebanon for the coming decades, but what i can not understand is the fact that no one is taking care of the economy. I am not talking about miracles, but what about planning. Who is stopping us from planning.

When Hakim was released and the syrians withdrew from Lebanon, i was talking to a friend of mine and i was full of confidence and hope and said to him that from now on, the political arena in Lebanon will be different, every party will recruit some of its members as specialist advisors and they will be competing who will come up with the best plan regarding economical and other important issues.

Oops, I was so wrong. Looks like we are cursed to always turn in an empty circle.
