Most arab kings or princes will actually have their regular shoes on while wearing their traditional clothes when receiving visitors, perhaps in this case, he felt more at home with the hakim:-)

Though it’s not really nice to show your toes, it’s really much healthier for the foot. I’ve been thinking about that lately. It would be really nice if we can all were sandals, much more comfortable.

D&G sandals , are not sandals

What is worst than the toe is the stupid PR that the LF issued after the visit and I quote:
وقد أحيطت زيارة جعجع الى الكويت بتدابير أمنية مشددة جداً ، وتم تكليف “وحدة التصدي والإقتحام ” للحماية والمرافقة في خطوة استثنائية ، لأن هذه الوحدة تكلف حصراً بحماية رؤساء الدول .

I think someone needs to isolate the humor from the serious posts on this blog.
14. mmm | March 14th, 2009 at 10:23 pm
i think tarek is a genious and that he should go to work in a string because it’s much healther for the butt
15. Rima | March 14th, 2009 at 11:36 pm
I think Tarek is perfectly right…after all it is about cultural differences. Some of these differences are related to the weather and nature of the country. For instance, in Australia it is very common for men to wear sandals or flip flops and shorts in the summer. Some even walk barefoot!not so hygenic.
Regarding the strings well in some African tribes that is what men wear! What looks bizzare for us might be normal for others.!:)
Let’s admit it we “Lebanese” are so arrogant!
Cheers

Rima, thank you for your moderate response.
How can we mock these people when we send our sons and daughters to their land for a mere living ? Who’s laughing now.
Don’t bite the hand that feeds you, STUPID!

fad14 I am curious to know why you prefer to isolate the humor article from the serious article?
For example
1… You find the humor articles not funny?
2… You dont like to mix politics with jokes?
3… You think there is too much humor articles?
4… Something else?
I am just curious!
PS: I love the humor articles
