I find it very strange that such a “well planned” event did not take note of the weather, given the fact that:
1- it was predicted by most weather reports that sunday would be rainy, and this a week before the event took place…
2- it had already started to pour on Saturday and it was abvious what sunday was like…
Stranger even that the sound system and so on were setup without taking into consideration the weather!!! I mean even rookies would never do such a mistake…
Is Aoun not supposed to be an ex-military? more precisely an ex commander of the armed forces…does this kind of a position not involve fore planning? taking the climatic changes into consideration when planning for an event???
I mean no wonder he has not been able to achieve a single victory in all the battles he has started throughout is life…no planning…
Unless…..unless the cancellation was part of the plan…hype it up, promise “sha3ba lubnan al 3azim” loads of “surprises” and at the last moment cancel it…this way:
1- the real attendance of the crowds can never be revealed as most were on the streets…and should anyone raise the issue about numbers, the answer would be the event was officially cancelled.
2- the heavy participation of marada, HA, tashnak et co would be well camouflaged
3- the tonality and layout of his speech are definitively not made for a political rally where thousands are expected to attend…it was exactly fit for what it was used for: a press conference…so its either that this was not the original speech, in that case what made it change…or it was and therefore Aoun knew that the event would be cancelled…
A viable possibility is that aoun has reached a point where whatever he tells his followers, they will cheer him…he figured whoever was left in the FPM despite all the flip flops would have to either be brainwashed to the last ion or…
therefore ma 3azab 7alo…
I mean where are all those surprises that would shake the country??? where are all those facts that will be revealed??? reading some posts on forums by aounists before the event made me feel like I was going to witness some tidal wave take the country and the political scene apart…
I guess I should have remembered that it was just aoun…
anyways

ok let’s do elections against all syrian allies in Lebanon . Let’s do elections against nasser andil , Let’s do elections against wi2am wahab ,Let’s do elections against Talal Irslan , Let’s do elections against Sleiman frangieh , Let’s do elections against Michel Murr , Let’s do elections against hizb amwiyine souriyine , let’s do elections against ba3rini let’s do elections against tashnak , let’s do elections against hizb allah , let’s do elections against haraket amal, let’s do election against karameh, let’s do elections against Skaff, let’s do elections against hizb ba3eth….. Venom, u want me to name more of ur allies ? all these parties that i named except hizb allah and amal are under Michel Aoun and they voted for Michel Aoun . what is funny that these parties they used to call Michel Aoun bi General Saghir hehe . Please venom ask them if Michel Aoun is they still consider him as general Saghir ?
To be very objective Michel Aoun lost some of it’s christian popularity in Lebanon we are all in Lebanon and we know what is happening .Michel Aoun has lost some of it’s popularity specially in maronites . People who lost their jobs and their businesses and people who died will not forgive Michel Aoun or anyone one who supported that stupid war . you want an election , Let’s have an election but a fair election only between LF and Aoun and let’s see who will win . We don’t want any support from our allies and i think neither you i think . So let it be LF full list against Tayyar full list and let’s see who will win .

Kel ma dak el kouz bel jarra, they start shouting ‘let’s do elections and see who will win’!!!! Are we playing ‘bayt biyout’ or what? I mean, we cant cancel elections to prove we’re right.. or wrong! It’s absurd. Plus, public opinion does change, and this is a fact. We can’t do elections everytime this opinion changes! Just for your info, we have ears, and we’re listenning to what people are saying around us about GMA’s recent stances, and your ‘let’s do new elections’ isn’t going to change anything about it. So live with it.

Venom,
Since we did elections before and saw who won, why do u insist on doing early elections again ? whats your reason ?
Aoun is falling into Hezbollah’s trap of organizing new elections and destroying all the work the government has done and maybe get to presidency.
I just hope he wakes up before its too late.

Just wondering what is the good thing that Aoun ever did? I need just one simple answer, All what he did was killing christians and destroying our eastern beirut? and the war against syrians, is this a joke? he wanted to liberate lebanon with artillery, what a good tactical planner. Just quit and go back to France if they ever will let u in again, or no now you can go to Iran.

Venom…oldest trick in the book amigo…even though your general perfected it, he wasnt the one to create it ;)…if you cant discuss the article, undermine the author … we saw two wars start because of this
Anyways, thank you for your valuable opinion…Maybe if I praised the general and idolized him my writing would improve in your eyes????
how about answering the points raised rather than running away from the truth???

I am very upset of my uncle position, i do not recognize him anymore, just want to clarify that my uncle Aoun received 300 million of dollars from Iran to sign an agreement with Hassan Nassrallah. Shame on you, you are disrespecting all brave christians in this country.
