When I read what some of the pro-aoun people talk about the Patriarch, I feel sad…very sad… because
1- We are in front of a bunch of people, incapable of forming their own political thoughts, and have to rely upon big brother to feed them what to think and how to think.
2- Worst of all, is the parroting disease that has gotten hold of those people…they repeat what Big Brother said in his last press conference…
To come back to topic: all those of you who are today insulting or disrespecting the Patriarch, or who accuse him of being old and senile… (speaking of ages, the general himself is not very far from the eighties, so I wouldn’t be throwing stones left and right J plus, I never saw the patriarch making any public appearances all clad in orange, like an add for Fanta )
I ask you to review your history and see, if you are still capable of seeing that is, who was the pillar upon which our freedom was built in the last 15 years…
See who was the fer-de-lance in the attack against the Syrian presence in Lebanon, under cover between 1990 till 2000 and in the open from 2000 onwards…
Had it not been for Patriarch Sfeir, there would not have been a single Christian left in Lebanon…
Ah and in case anyone will be tempted to pull out the secular card here, Lebanon cannot exist without the Co-existence of ALL its sects and religions, in an EQUAL manner… I will never believe that I can, totally unarmed, go into a relationship with an armed group like Hezbullah and persuade them to give up their weapons so easily…this requires a very high degree of naiveté that I do not possess….
Again, before anyone’s hormone levels go jumping, I am not calling for re-arming the different factions…we as the Lebanese Forces were the first to lay down our weapons, seeking a new and peaceful Lebanon where we could ALL live together.
One more thing, dear aounies… look at your allies today…try bad mouthing or even criticizing Nasrallah…or in other words do you DARE talk anything about him? Do you DARE say what you really think? Yeah sure…
What do you know about Nasrallah by the way? What do you know about his history and his political ambitions and goals that makes you so trusting in cozying up to him and banging your chests screaming “labbayka ya nasralla”????
Just a reminder, it is thanks to the Patriarchs that Lebanon exists today…and has survived the Ottoman invasion, the French and the Syrian rule… so in case you are searching for hero figures, don’t go looking to far away from home…you WILL BE DECEIVED.
And this lesson was well learned by the Syrian and the Iranian…they understood that as long as there was a strong Patriarchal figure, Lebanon would be unbreakable… ah and in case you still have not understood where I am getting, I congratulate you for you are today doing their dirty job in attempting to undermine the Patriarch.
Divide the Christians and Lebanon falls…this has been proven throughout history…and this is what your beloved turbaned allies are aiming at…doesn’t it strike you as odd, dear aounies that tomorrow Hezbollah has declared it will stick to enforcing the strike in its areas whereas you were the only ones speaking of road blocking and whatever?
But then, maybe I am asking too much of you…maybe you are beyond repair… beyond the point of no return…

Dera Othello, it is not strange to hear insults towards the Patriarch from those who has attacked him 17 years ago in Bkerki and put their so called leader’s photo in his chair, but we should ask God to forgive them because as our Lord Jesus said, they don’t know what ther are doing.
