1- Mughniyi’s murder was a joint venture in which the Syrian mukhabarat took a major step.

2- if the mossad had such a long hand, how come they did not continue and say wipe off the Hamas number one guy who is currently hiding in Syria? given the current status of things, it would be a top priority kill for them…

3- the thug you are talking about is more like an Iranian creation than a Syrian one…the guy was trained and bred by the Islamic Revolutionary guards…

anyways,,,just clarifying a couple of things out…the world is better off with one less terrorist I agree but I would think twice before rejoicing for he who killed him…

Syria knows what a ruthless thug she is. Unfortunately the only thing a thug understands is another thug. So now, like Clint Eastwood, someone rode into Damascus and blew the shit out of a Syrian created thug on Assad’s doorstep.

Hey … its a free world amigo…u think what it suites you to think… but no way in the world u can con me that Syria is innocent… so with the scratch of a pen (or should I say the click of a mouse) u want to write off 30 yrs of occupation as of it didnt happen? thousands of political prisonners as if they never existed? rape, torture, theft, extortion, racketting and the whole lot of crap that accompagnied the Syrian stay in Lebanon never happened? they were mere keepers of the peace? is your historical memory so short? where have u been the last 15 years my friend?I’ll tell you where I was…over here in Beirut,living the syrian nightmare…so dont you come over here and claim syrias innocence…plus, the weapon cache they found with the SSNP that was for what?deer hunting?or for fireworks on new years eve? sorry pal but that tune aint gonna work…today aoun is trying hard to brainwash whatever followers he still has into writing off years of bloody history…that is sad…but I’ll tell you what…for 30 years, the Lebanese (with a capital L) have survived much worse than the toy soldier who wants to be president at any cost…and they will survive 30 even 300 more years to come…you see some people are rooted in this land…we have a history that spans hundreds if not thousands of years…those that choose to think otherwise are free (but I doubt they would appreciate this freedom for they are not used to free thought but rather to canned principles that are handed down to them by big brother)…
u have a nice year ol’ man…and while u r at it, JOHN, ponder on the spiritual meanings of this holy season.

No, not really.

To me it seems much more likely that the Israeli and/or the Americans government were behind these assassinations, as these are the two groups that would benefit the most from these deaths.

Can you provide some good sources? (Neutral sources)
I don’t believe most (if not all) of what you wrote.
When you say Syria assassinated several political figures and anti-Syrian activists, how can you be sure it was Syria?
Why not some party who wants to frame Syria? (Which is extremely more likely)

Well, Lynne, the main problem lies here…why havent USA & UK, in their war against terrorism,taken any drastic actions against Syria? there have been many reports about its aid to international terrorist organizations, and the fact that groups like Qaeda and Hamas have head quarters there is known to everyone…
Now, if you look closely, which country vetoed any action that would topple the Syrian govt, you would find out its Israel…yes…Israel…how ironic you would say…but then there has been an unwritten understanding between the two neighbouring countries for over 30 years about this…Syria will not open the Golan heights front and Israel would not attack the Assad regime…ahhh the intricacies of international politics…too bad its people like you and me who ultimately pay the prices for such hypocritical alliances

Another thought: Any idea why the mainstream media in the US and the BBC aren’t covering Syria’s actions. Cutting off the electricity and other actions will make things so much worse for the Lebanese people, who have suffered more than enough in this conflict.

Well-written and reasoned post. People do not always know their best interests. The hatred toward Israel provides a unifying factor that benefits Syria, who hides its misdeeds and evil intentions. You are doing what you can to spread the word. Stay as safe as you can while doing so. Israel has just given sanctuary to Lebanese citizens fleeing persecution and death threats.
