It was a sad day yesterday when I heard on the news that  only the Chrisitan figures of the opposition are calling for drastic measures such as closing roads and whatnot whereas HA has declared that they will stick to enforcing the general strike in their areas and Arslan kept his political speech below a certain point, as if trying hard to avoid any clashes within the druze.

At this point, I ask why ya general ?(I will not bother about Franjiyi…every one knows he is an illetrate thug with not even the minimum of ethics and social manners)…

Has 1989 not taught you anything? have you come back to finish what you started back then and that is the division of the christians?

Is this what you seek with your threats and promises? or has the order come from the “wali al fakih” asking you to “take control of the christian street” at any cost (just like the order came back in 89 from Syria to prove yourself in order to obtain the presidency)?

is the power you seek worth all the destruciton you are willing to cause?

Let me ask you, ya general, power over what??? if those you are aiming to rule have either left the country in despair or are six feet under????

When I heard Aoun talking about the Synodos, I could not help but laugh…a bitter laugh…very very bitter laugh…

I mean, this man is, at best, a series of contraditctions: one moment he is anti sectarian and the next he speaks in the name of the Christians…

One moment he is for all the Lebanese, the next, he is the sole representant of the Christians…

Ah and the crown jewel? Aoun declared, as per the Taef constitution, that this government is illegal…as far as I recall, he has never accepted the Taef as a constitution…and more than 3000 martyres died because of this denial…so now we use it when it suites us and discard it when it does not? and our martyres??? forgotten? gone? Discarded like the Lebanese prisonners in the syrian jails ya general???

Today you are talking about the Church and the Synodos ya general? walaw, have you forgotten what your cronies did to the patriarch back in the lte 80s? have you forgotten the humiliation you made him suffer? have you forgotten that your closest ally does not miss a single chance to insult the Patriarch in public???

Ok you want to forget the past…lets go with this…on the bsis of forgive but not forget…

But then, the Patriarch himslef, not more than a month ago, criticized the demos of the opposition and asked, more or less directly, all the chritsians NOT TO PARTICIPATE…how come you dont follow that ya General?

I guess the fixation on the chair has blinded the man so bad that he does not see anymore the grave dangers he is causing the Christian community to suffer…

I do not mean to sound sectarian in this post…for I am not…but then I am for a strong healthy Christian Community, equal to all other communities in a multi-confessional Lebanon… Today, we are the ONLY sect that is dangerously divided…

WHY you might ask? the answer is very simple…its all because of one single man and his crazy ideas…

who divided the Christians back in 89-90 causing syria to overcome a resistance that had kept it at bay for years and years?

who divided March 14, causing syrian allies and henchemen to resurface after we had endured many hardships and lost many martyres to kick syria out???

who is today dividing , once more the Christians???

Enough…

    Excellent article.

This man is always like that . He divided the christian community in 88-89 by attacking Lebanese Forces and by letting Brothers killing each others and making manate2 sharkiyeh jhanam but he couldnt destroy Lebanese Forces.

I couldn’t agree more with othello… I have studied and researched the issues and conflicts in Lebanon for many years. When I was researching the civil war, I wanted the research to conclude what political party I should support. I must say, I am so proud and happy to support and be a part of the Ouwet camp.

I also concluded with my research that Aoun should not have been trusted and supported by any Christian for any reason at any time. For a General in the Civil War, he was very destructive, not to mention a pussy.

The day I heard he was returning to Lebanon, I knew there was going to be trouble ahead. The man who “speaks for all Christians” is causing us to be in harmful positions. I truly believe that he came back to Lebanon for 1 reason and 1 only-to fulfill his personal agenda(which failed in the past) at any cost, even if it means destroying the Christian community, which I am sad to say, he somehow belongs to.

good article O, sorry for coming back so late, i was just too busy with yesterday’s glorious image of lebanon…

anyway, aoun has not learnt anything unfortunately. i heard him yesterday on the news, claiming that anyone that gets hurt is of course from the opposition…i dont know whether to laugh or cry… that after so many years, we still fall prey to the same idiots.

long live our great stupid leaders.
