  I’m very doubtfull about this article for many reasons:
  1- at the time hizbullah wasnt as powerfull as they’re today, and didn’t have the firm relationship with the syrians that they have today
  2- i read in many books about the syrian incursion into east beirut, and all acounts agee that the people who were handling the security matters and the ones who did all the attacks on the LFers mainly were members of the SSNP, PSP and Amal not hizbullah

  but HA’s problems with Syria were earlier on back in the time when the camp wars erupted in 89…

  that was when they fought with Amal…

  and it was a refelction of the Irano-syrian tentions at the time…

  but in october 1990, they had reached an agreement with Syria (pretty much similar to the one they have to this day) whereby they support syria’s actions in Lebanon and syria helps them by transiting weapons and money from Iran.

  so nothing would have prevented them from coming in…especially that the areas mentionned are today HA strongholds…shie7, da7ye etc…

  remember there were no fights after 1990…so the positions occupied remained pretty much the same to this very day…

  asllan to this day some of the Pro HK guys would side with the LF against any HA incursion…

  on January 23rd, there were many of them who fought bravely against the HA plan to take over Hazmieh in an attempt to back up aoun whose guys had failed miserably…

  they may not like DSG, but in the end they cannot forget they are Lebanese…and they cannot ignore the fact that HA is nothing but a syrian/iranian puppet group trying to extend its masters rule onto us.

  4- many people died during the war and what you are doing - making fun of the dead- is not very ethical nor a good reflection on the type of person you are… those who died are long gone…

  hehe this is one thing u cant argue me with Othello and its the halal thing..The only Sect in the world that has human as halal killing are the sunna…Have u seen any shi3a in the world killing some1 by slauhtering him through halal ? i guess not…And yes HA still consider some Christians as proIsraelis , and there is a difference between the christians who thought that Allying with Israel at a special time was a must and when Allying with Israel at the moment is important . So yes some Christians and muslims are accused to be with Israel and its the truth . Like you guys accuse some people to be with Iran and Syria…so nothing new here…

  Arze, allow me to make some comments and I hope you think about them, it’s not important if you answer them it’s more important if you think about them.

  First you are drinking the Orange KoolAid on the Sunna-Shia difference when you should know that extremsism in both Sunna and Shia is just as bad because the fatwa by Khomeini to kill Salman Rushdi is slaughtering Halal style, the hanging of girls in Iran by the government because they disobey moral codes is slaughtering Halal style, the suicide attacks that kill civilians is slaughtering Halal style, the alliance with Hafez and Bachar Assad the murderers is just as bad as Binladen.

  Second we accuse people of being with Iran and Syria today not 25 years ago, it is a big difference between making up stories from the past to blackmail/threaten and stating facts about the present.

  Third, it is not important if Hassan Nasrallah goes to Church, it is important if Christians can go pray in our Church and live in peace in Da7iyeh and the South. It is not important if Ahmadinajad goes to Columbia University to give a speech, it is important he doesn’t arrest Iranian students who express their opinion like he did two weeks ago, and that he doesn’t make racist speeches or say there are no gays in Iran, that is not much better than Binladen.

  Finally You are right we don’t want khabariyet men dayne la dayne but also go easy on the Orange KoolAid there is too much sugar in it

  The story is 100% correct. Just review Nahar’s and Reuters archives on that attack and you will confirm this story. They even mention the names of HK’s fighters that were killed in the fights with Hizbulla in Hadeth. Anyway, if you follow the sequence of HK’s relationship with HA post Taef you will notice clearly the hatred between the 2 parties, and in the 2000 elections HA refused to be in the same list with HK and they voted against him, and this what made HK loose in Baabda-Aley.

  VERY DANGEROUS TESTIMONIAL:

  I am so deceived by AOUN (especially after listening to his lies) that I am ready to REVEAL something I should have HIDEN FOR EVER.

  My father, who was very close to AOUN told me that he received a phone call from AOUN on October 12, 1990. Aoun asked him to send an urgent message to the French Embassy and to the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, CONFIRMING that Syria was going to use air raids on BAABDA on early morning of october 13th, and that this information was a CERTAINTY.

  AOUN knew everything BEFOREHAND. Why did he let all the brave soldiers do the fight and die in a very fierce battle ? It was AOUN who first CALLED the Ambassador RENE ALA for rescue at 7:30 in the morning.

  Why did AOUN give the order to the 8th Brigade NOT TO INTERVENE while the other soldiers were WAITING for THEIR HELP ???

  By LEAVING BAABDA, AOUN knew what was going to happen.

  HE JUST LEFT. He said later that he HAD NO OTHER CHOICE !!!!!

  I am LITTERALLY FED UP with the MYTH of AOUN being a HERO. He made a GIANT mistake which cost was hundreds of human lives of our heroic soldiers.

  My Father told me that the last time he saw AOUN, was when the french special envoy Patrick LECLERC came to take AOUN to accompany him by boat to France. My father looked deep into his eyes and told him: “MAY GOD FORGIVE YOU” (ALLAH YSSEM7AK)…….

  The TRAITOR who that day helped the Syrians was by the name of LAHOOD. Today, AOUN has become a friend to LAHOOD. This and ONLY this is sufficient to tell us how AOUN has forgotten ALL THOSE WHO DIED because they trusted HIM !!!!

  1) I said Shia and Sunna both have extremists, both the same (very bad)…You cannot say you don’t give a shit what they do in Iran if they don’t do it in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah is Khaminei representative in Lebanon, they get $$$ and rockets and education and religion instruction and strategy from Iran…COME ON!!! Arz man will you still laugh in 10 years if Hizballah start to do like the Sunna of Dennieh? Don’t I have the right to worry about Iran copying its barbarism in Lebanon in 10 or 20 years??

  2) Syria is out that’s the GMA talk, my God man didn’t you live in Lebanon since 1978?? Syrians are EVERYWHERE in Lebanon, they infiltrate EVERYTHING, COME ON MAN easy on the KOOLAID even the Lemon not only Orange

  3) Junblat did and Hariri did, I did not say they are saints, I want to be careful from them but now they are working with us what do you want us to say NO we don’t want?? GMA said he agrees 95% with Hariri so you like them more than me I am 50-50 only

  4) I don’t say America loves Christians, America makes politics for Americans not for Lebanese, but Lebanon is a small fish so who do you want to work with, Iran or America???

  It is NOT normal for Christians to stand with Sunna against Shia or with Shia against Sunna, Christians always stand with Lebanon only, it is Israel policy to stand with one against other, if there is no united Lebanon (I think it is hopeless) then Christians should stay neutral and get help from the West, America and Europe are not doing like Iran, Iran wants the Shia to win over everyone else in Lebanon.

  Yea Johnny you are totally right all parties were involved in massacres during the war. That’s why we call it war. INCLUDING HA!!

  HA was shown during the Syrian era as the only heavenly lebanese party full of angels and saints, and doing God’s will, a party that has never done anything wrong; and this is bullshit!
  after the war (1990) HA tried to avoid internal problems to build this image… it was a wise decision. but we shouldn’t forget that:
  1) HA acted as any other party during the war and commited attrocities,
  2)all parties did the same after 1990 and tried to change their image, starting with LFs. so why do we give credit to HA only????

  4)You will be shocked if i told u , that it is NOT our interest to walk with the Americans for the moment , because the Ameicans as u know ar in favor of the Tawtin in leb , in order to please the israelis they ll do evrything for us to nationalize the palestinians and that is done through these steps:

  a-Drawning lebanon in huge amounts of loans and interests then proposing us nationalisation for the deletion of all national loans

  b-destruction of Hezbollah since hezbollah is military capable of facing the nationalization with the help of Hamas

  c- The immigration of all christians , since they to are a big bump for nationalization , and this is ahppening now …You know very well that we are becoming a minority , and that palestinians are buying christians lands in huge surfaces for the next 10 years

  d- A civil war , in order to make the Federal state available , divided , the Tawtin becomes a piece of Cake….

  since Geagea , Jumblat wants the federation and hariri the Tawtin , they all favor for a civil war , because non the Tawtin or a Federation is possible without a war .

  Finaly, I agree with u on one thing and its that Christians should stay neutral from EVERYTHING , Syria , Iran , america , France , Hezbollah , hariri and the druze …I wish it was possible , i wish we can stay neutral and just make people love each other , live in peace etc…
  But unfortunly We as christians are a gap to the nationalisation of the palestinians …and looking around for who his against that , i can only find Hezbollah , that is why the alliance with Hezbollah was a MUST !

  Theresinia…I should remind you that michel aoun never met with LAhoud , that Michel aoun is the ONLY lebanese leader not christian leader only , but LEBANESE leader who ahvent met with syrian officials like Assad family….and i should finaly remind you that Michel Aoun signed a paper with HA not with Lahoud … i should remind u who were the participants in the massacres of the Army : The murabitoun (Or what is left of them by then ) , The Jumblaties , The Lebanese forces Lahoud , Berri All on the supervision of the Syrians..

  You can never blame Michel aoun of being what ever u call him i should remind u everytime ….that he ONLY signed a paper with HEZBOLLAH ! and Hezbollah for me is a clean militia that fought the Israelis just like the LF under teh command of Cheikh bachir fought The syrians , the only difference is that HA didnt kill christians … The new Geagea lf did kill christians more then they did kill syrians …

  I followed AOUN and loved him for more than 15 years!!! I expected GOOD things from HIM - NOT FROM the others !!!
  He is doing the opposite of all he promised in order to gain the presidency. He didn’t meet with LAHOOD but he says good things about him, good things about Syria, good things about Michel EL MURR who he said time after time he wanted him to die in PRISON NOT in his bed…
  AOUN has changed…

  You ARZE have not changed and that is why you still project nice things on him.

  AOUN is no longer the SAME PERSON. He betrayed his principles and betrayed everyhthing he said before.

  * الدولة العظمى في العالم هل ضاعت في أزقّة بيروت أم انها تعمل على خطف لبنان مجدداً من أيدي أبنائه؟
  هل هي فعلاً تهدر وقتها الثمين مع أشخاص أمثال سعد الحريري ووليد جنبلاط ونايلة معوّض أم انها تستثمر هؤلاء في مشاريع أخطر مما يتصوّره عقل شرق أوسطي؟

  ماذا وراء تلك الاهتمامات الدولية ما فوق العادية بوطن صغير مثل لبنان؟.. الامم المتحدة، مجلس الامن الدولي، البيت الابيض الاميركي، الكونغرس الاميركي، فرنسا، إيطاليا، اسبانيا بالاضافة الى بلدان المنطقة: وفود تأتي ووفود تذهب، قرارات إثر قرارات وبيانات تلو بيانات… ماذا تحت قشرة هذه الغيرية على بلدنا وشعبنا؟ هل ان الاستحقاق الرئاسي اللبناني يحتاج كل تلك العجقة الاقليمية والدولية وكل تلك المزايدات السياسية؟ هل بيروت لا زالت بيروت أم تحوّلت الى ان تكون “بابل” العالم الجديد؟

  اذا كانت دول العالم يهمها فعلاً أمر بلدنا، فلماذا لا ترفع عنه كابوس مديونيته؟ ولماذا لا تباشر في إعادة أعماره؟ ولماذا لا تخلق فرص الانتاج والعمل لأبنائه؟ ولماذا كانت حرب 12 تموز 2006 بدلاً من الافراج عن الاسرى اللبنانيين في السجون الاسرائيلية وإنهاء الاحتلال الاسرائيلي لقسم من الارض اللبنانية؟ ولماذا تصرّ الدول الكبرى على ان تسلّم المقاومة اللبنانية سلاحها قبل سلاح المخيّمات الفلسطينية وقبل تحرير أرضنا المحتلة؟
  الاسئلة كثيرة، لكن الاجوبة الحريرية والجنبلاطية تبقى في إطار اللعبة الكبرى. ولذلك لا الحريري ولا جنبلاط طالبا في واشنطن ونيويورك بالافراج عن الاسرى اللبنانيين وبإزالة الاحتلال الاسرائيلي عن أرض لبنان، بل طالبا بتأديب “حزب الله” وسوريا وايران على الطريقة الاسرائيلية. الخطاب الحريري ـ الجنبلاطي على أبواب البيت الابيض لم يختلف في الجوهر عن خطاب “معراب” الذي جاء فيه: حربنا هي مع حزب الله وسوريا وإيران.

  حرب هؤلاء اذن، ليست مع اسرائيل بل مع الداخل اللبناني وصولاً الى سوريا وإايران.

  * المؤامرة ماشية.. (سيري وعين واشنطن ترعاكِ) بالتأكيد، لم يحمل الحريري وجنبلاط من واشنطن الى بيروت هدايا رمضانية أو ميلادية ولا ذهبيات مجيدية وانما التزامات سياسية وأمنية. ويبدو ان الالتزامات كانت ثقيلة جداً الى درجة ان وجهي الرجلين اكتشحا بالاكفهرار والاصفرار. القراءات السياسية للمبيّتات الاميركية تجاه لبنان تؤكد ان ادارة بوش لم تسقط بعد من أجندتها المشروع الحربي. ولذلك هي بحاجة الى سلطة لبنانية متأمركة بامتياز لا تعرقل الخطة الاميركية التي من ضمنها دفن القرار الدولي رقم 194 الخاص بعودة اللاجئين الفلسيطينيين في تراب لبنان والاستيلاء ـ عن طريق البيع غير المتكافئ وغير العادل ـ على أهم مرافق الدخل العام في لبنان في مقدّمها الهاتف الخلوي.

  * ليس مهما ما صرّح به سعد الحريري ووليد جنبلاط بعد الاستقبالات البنفسجية في واشنطن، بل المهم “الاملاءات الاميركية”. ان احداً لا يصدّق ان استدعاء الرجلين الى واشنطن كان بهدف ان يشرحا للادارة الاميركية تعقيدات الوضع اللبناني لان تلك التعقيدات هي صناعة أميركية خالصة. فلو ان الولايات المتحدة صادقة في انقاذ لبنان لكانت مع إيصال الرجل الماروني القوي الى رئاسة الجمهورية وليس مع من يحمل المباخر على أبواب قريطم.
  من مظاهر التآمر على أي بلد في العالم: إبعاد الرجال الوطنيين الاقوياء والشرفاء عن مراكز القرار. تُرى، أليس هذا ما يجري اليوم في لبنان؟

  * هل كان ضرورياً أن يذهب جنبلاط الى واشنطن ليعلن من هناك ان نواب حزبه سينتخبون مرشحاً رئاسياً من فريق 14 شباط؟ في معرض حديثه عن “حزب الله” تحدث جنبلاط عن “توازن الرعب” بين المفايات الايطالية بعد حديثه عن “علاقة ما” بين “حزب الله واسرائيل.
  معروف جنبلاط بصدقيته وثباته على مواقفه المعلنة. فهو قبل انتخابات 2005 وصف سلاح “حزب الله” بالسلاح المقاوماتي الشريف. وبعد ان حصل على اصوات مناصري حزب الله، قال ان سلاح الحزب هو “سلاح الغدر”. هكذا كان يتصرّف مع الرئيس الراحل رفيق الحريري كلما تأخر الحريري في الدفع. مرة كان يضعه في خانة “حيتان المال” ومرة اخرى في مصاف القديسين. مواقفه من سوريا وقصر بعبدا تميّزت بـ “النطنطة” نفسها.. ولا شبيه له في لبنان سوى الساكن حديثاً في “معراب”.. وبئس من جمعهما فوق جماجم الشهداء وأجراس الكنائس والأديرة المسروقة وأنقاض القرى والبلدات المهجرة!!
