Na3eeman ya Abbas :-)

BERLIN — Germany has banned Hezbollah’s television station on grounds that it violates the country’s constitution, an Interior Ministry spokesman said Friday.

The U.S. banned Al-Manar in 2004, saying it incited terrorist activity. Hezbollah is not banned in Germany but is under observation by the domestic intelligence agency, which tracks extremists.

The Al-Manar ban prevents German satellite television companies from offering the channel.

i wish you good luck and …be carefull.

    Ali

I read your reply # 124 “how to spoil your day” I think it shows that you are genuine and well informed about your political choice. Although I do not agree with many points, I give you credit for your logical and structured replies.(I won’t reply here coz out of subject)

I agree with Doc that you are a polite and smart dude but I advice you not to follow his zkaki style!

It is not true that I oppose for the sake of opposing…But i just hate it when moukhabaratii agents jump on this blog to spread their propaganda and so on…
I hope you are not one of those…

    Cheers

Western countries are a bit idiotic in some of the things they do. They ban Al Manar, but all the radical clerics are free to roam spewing their hate in European mosques, I don’t get it. Media should be free, and people should decide what they watch, banning something only makes it more desirable and gives it more importance than it is worth. As long as it is on cable and adults can pay to watch it, it should not be banned. Sure they pimp their ideology, but what TV channel does not, I mean OTV had a whole segment about an LF delivery boy that claimed he got roughed up, seriously with all that is going on in Lebanon, to them that is news. Just as with manar nasrallah this and nasrallah that, well if you ban it people will still get it some other way, and you are not changing any minds. So let sheep be sheep , and cows be cows etc…

Also,The man who is always talking about being a gentleman, never is one!! I am the way I am rima , this is one thing ppl hate about me, I am a straight forward man who doesnt hide his words and doesnt pretend to be a CLASSY GENTELMAN ALL THE TIME…

Eh Tej raskoun wou noss because he was the only one who stood up for his men and got jailed instead of them and never ran away or accepted under the table deals ..

He went out of jail and is screwing up, that doesnt change what he was before and my post back then was directly related to the part i wrote above .. :-)

So cheers wou atyab 3ara2 wou kebbe nayye lal Sheikh Ali :-)

Rima, i must admit that Ali took me by surprise when he replied back to me in a rational somehow courteous way (which wasn’t the case before) n i think i’m gonna go easy with him from now on.

As for u dearest Doc, u actually mentioned earlier that u r someone that i love to hate well sorry to burst ur bubble but i think u are giving too much credit to urself when u say so. Somehow i do get a kick when making u lose temper n I truly hope that u’ll keep on on that level.

Call me crazy or deranged but I can’t see that blog without ur “bip” comments!

    Rima, cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

N, it’s really disgusting to see that as soon as times get rough, geagea who stood for eleven years lal chabeib metlak yi 3icho bhal balad, cant even count on you guys anymore..

youre supposed to be behind him, criticize as much as you want. its your right as a citizen of a democratic country. but to say that youre no longer with anyone is horrible.. just horrible..
you guys have proven to me that you are “ma3a lwakef 7atta tanjali el mawakef”..

lets just thank god that there are some men that are more patient in lebanon

  • 24. Doc 1559 | November 25th, 2008 at 4:33 am

While the “civilized” world claims day and night commitment to “freedom of expression” and “respecting differences through democracy” and accuses the “others” of “undermining” the democracy, they continue to adopt “biased” and “suspicious” measures against the national media panels, mainly those representing the Resistance voice in the region, seeking to “shut them up.”

After France and the United States, came the turn of Germany to “ban” Al-Manar TV on Friday, a step that was read by Al-Manar officials in the framework of the organized campaign that was launched against the Resistance and Liberation channel by the Zionist lobby.

On Saturday, Al-Manar administration issued a statement in which it declared that the ban’s decision was strange. “Al-Manar channel has always abided by all the observed laws, it assumed its role with responsibility and professionalism,” the statement noted, adding that it has always been and is still a target for the American and Zionist unfair policies only because it played an efficient and operative role.

While the statement noted that Al-Manar administration found the way of dealing with the Lebanese channel as strange, it denounced the “ban” as a “flagrant assault” on the freedom of expression, supposedly granted through human laws and international laws.

Al-Manar’s statement concluded that the ban’s decision was merely political with no legal evidence, stressing that in all cases it wouldn’t turn the Resistance and Liberation channel away from fulfilling its professional duties.

Al-Manar’s Director General Abdallah Kassir earlier commented, in an interview with Al-Manar, on the ban, and said that it was part of an organized campaign launched against the channel by the Zionist lobby in Europe. He called on all those who raise the slogan of “freedom” as well as the United Nations alongside other international organizations to declare their positions over the ban. He, meanwhile, announced that Al-Manar would spare no effort to raise the issue through all means, stressing that it would make every effort to stand against the ban and reject it.

Germany has banned Al-Manar television station on grounds that it violates the country’s constitution, an Interior Ministry spokesman said Friday.
The Al-Manar ban prevents German satellite television companies from offering the channel.

Government spokesman Markus Beyer said Al-Manar programming was forbidden on Nov. 11 under Article 9 of Germany’s constitution, which says that organizations cannot operate with the purpose of violating “international understanding.”

Beyer was not more specific, but Al-Manar is known to be a channel that adopts the cause of the resistance against the Israeli occupation and aggression. Al-Manar played a significant role in exposing Israeli media lies during the 2006 war on Lebanon and participated in the defeat of Israel through broadcasting footage of Israel’s savagery represented in destroying whole cities, committing massacres against women and children and violating international law.

  • 25. Rima | November 25th, 2008 at 4:55 am

The freedom of speech has its limitations.HAve you heard of defamation law?

Have you heard of hate speech?terrorism?

I wonder where is the freedom of speech bi zawarib el dahyieh, south or bequaa?

“Al-Manar played a significant role in exposing Israeli media lies during the 2006 war on Lebanon and participated in the defeat of Israel through broadcasting footage of Israel’s savagery represented in destroying whole cities, committing massacres against women and children and violating international law.”

What HA did by launching their Katyoushia randomly on people was not better than what Israel did?
If Israel bombs randomly in heavely populated areas and villages and without warning ….you will see what we call genocide!
I don’t expect you to be objective but that is how neutral observers might see things.

    Carl Tabet,
I didnt just wake up and say i dont want to be with geagea anymore .. i dont think anyone has been as patient as some of my close friends have or myself … bass to reach a point where you have to defend someone blindly even though he is messing up, and in the same time is rejecting everyone disagreeing with him is not something i was raised to do either by my folks or by the LF and its founder …

Minchouf el ghalat wou mne7ki chou ma ken yikoun … woulli khifen min el 7a2ee2a ma7allo mich bil ouwet ..

Hakim is deriving from the line, its no more tactical mistakes .. its huge fatal errors he is doing :-)

As for being with no one, i defend the LF thoughts & principles but too bad no one is representing them these days… so why should i stick myself to a person while i can do better without him ..
