Samir Kassir & all the martyrs ..
Posted by N10452
Samir Kassir is another “forgotten” martyr who died defending his principles and the Cedars revolution and is barely mentioned in any paper or by any politician ..
Samir was simply a brilliant journalist, brilliant historian and i love his writings & books even though he was a prominet left-wing activist. By simply reading his biography, you realize the loss Lebanon endured after he was assassinated.
I had the chance to meet him few times, and i’ve seen how humble & smart this man is.
Samir was assassinated on the 2nd of June 2005 using a car bomb.

Samir Kassir is not forgotten, he is remembered and missed by all the decent folks who believed in the same principles as he did: freedom, justice. integrity and equality… God bless and rest his decent soul.

Thank you for remembering this great man, I agree with all you said N.
BUT compare this with the moderation article that come before it, you see Samir Kasir would allow anyone to speak even Nasir Andil and Wiam Wahab the dogs. I think it is a very BAD policy to delete anyone even if they use curses, let them show their real face and let us reply to them the way they understand.

He died for the fighting to stop. Now it did. Up to us to live it up. A great tribute to all are lost loved ones.

He surely was a great man,
may his soul rest in peace
But again, this is our fate in Lebanon, we always loose our best people. Hopefully we will never ever loose anyone else.

He was not a leftist. He was pro-palestinian.
But may be it’s difficult for you to see the difference.
