Up to 2005, Syria was the main player in lebanese politics agreed or not? the christian voters were known to be anti-syrian or not? syria wanted to stay or not? would have syria wanted the christains voice to weigh much or not?, answer those questions and think a bit….the answer is easy, Syria to increase its chances to stay in lebanon didn’t want the 1960 law…simple logic…UNLESS, Syria had allready cut a deal with general taratatatata.
