Pr.Sleiman’s speech
Posted by N10452I will keep this speech as a reference, for us to remember later one if he will apply any of the points mentioned or not. If Accountability is inexistant in Lebanese politics, we can promote it on this blog.

I can’t understand aounists. All they care about is loving aoun and hating 7akim. They never think about Lebanon …
4. Ra'fat | May 26th, 2008 at 1:32 am
Anyone has a copy of Lahoud’s inauguration speech? That would be an interesting comparison to see if the current speech used any of the promises Lahous promised.

What the heck happened to the official website?
6. Silvana | May 26th, 2008 at 1:48 am
I wonder what this topic got to do with Aoun and Geagea, for Aoun’s worshipers to bring them up?
What did it take for Aoun to let go of his one and only dream, being president?!!!… Now since the “Mon General, le president” will never be president, his worshipers have clung to the strategy of trying to salvage whatever they can to make him look good. Obsessed much?
I hope our president does at least try to fulfill his promises, if he is allowed that is. God willing all will be well.
7. kezballah | May 26th, 2008 at 3:15 am
Silvana, if Aounists did not act stupid they wouldn’t be Aounists.
But we should take it easy on them today, their only dream of seeing Aoun president is gone forever so they are mad.
It is OK they will forget it soon because they have to create a new fantasy to believe, it is necessary so they can be stupid again for the next 6 years.
8. kezballah | May 26th, 2008 at 3:17 am
About Slaiman, his speech is not worth the paper it is on, if HA decide something else all he will do is bend over again.
No wonder he is from Am-Shit!
9. Leb4Life | May 26th, 2008 at 3:34 am
aoun had a choice between the republic or the presidency and he clearly chose the republic.
so u idiots stop being fools and say we are unhappy because he didn’t become president because as aounists we don’t care about the kersi . all what we care about is building a true republic. if he wanted the presidency he would have had it in 1989 . but he is not ready to pay its price.
many of ur ertet 14 shbat so called leaders will definately choose the kersi instead , and that’s why u have too many candidates ready to accept anything to be president … starting from ur so called hakim .
by the way, after ur so called hakim and leaders of 14 shbat signed the shameful taef agreement and gave up all christian rights, the president is useless. what will count now is the majority of christian representatives in the government and the majles noweb . they will basically be directing the ship and not the president.
see why aoun gave up the presidency? he gained the good electoral law and a decent government role .
THIS IS HOW TO WORK FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE CHRISTIANS U FOOLS.

change ur name as it is an insult to God .
you should learn how to be a good leb citizen and start respecting ur president no matter how much u are against him .
well, to be a good citizen u must have good morals first … so i gues u are hopeless in this case.
u give a true image about ur ewet organisation .
13. kezballah | May 26th, 2008 at 4:22 am
Hable4Life (as Michelle calls you): believe all the fantasies you want about the blood sucker Aoun and his republic, it doesn’t mean they make sense in the real world, only in the fantasy world you living in.
In the real world we saw Aoun destroying all the Christians areas in 1989 because he said no illegal weapons, then we saw Aoun in 2008 declare victory for HA killing innocent Beirutis with illegal weapons.
So Hable4Life if you want to build a Aoun republic go to Tehran and do it there not in Beirut thank you. And don’t feel sorry for 7akim because he will be there to stop your Aoun republic.
If it wasn’t for your Aoun we wouldn’t have got to Taef, we only went to Taef after he destroyed everything and now he tries to do it again with your Zawba3a allies and the HA and Amal scum. This is how to work for the benefit of the Christians IN FANTASY LAND you Aounist fool.

LOL kezballah, very true… You have to admire them for the long comments they leave to shove down our throats what a hero Aoun is, or is it to make themselves feel better
I wonder what bugs them most, the fact that Aoun will never eveeeer be president, or that in a few years Samir Geagea could be one :-P… This is Lebanon after all, anything can happen even when they try and say his criminal history will not let him be one
Frankly I hope Kezballah that you are wrong about Sleiman.

i really feel sorry for him . haram. he is looking for a role (as well as amin) but no role fits them .
ur hakim can never be a president because he has a criminal record .
he and amin are the biggest losers when there is national unity .
now the true christian representatives will be in the government so it is turn for ur hakim and his so called ewet to step aside and go home .

Thank you Michelle
See Aoun’s worshipers and their patriotic nicknames (Arze, lebvoice etc etc etc) lol, yay shou patriotic. You are right ya Michelle, you can only have a decent exchange with someone who has the ability to debate and not someone whose only sole purpose in life is to praise, worship and defend a politician; A crazy one at that.
29. Silvana | May 26th, 2008 at 11:46 am
Someone should tell Aounists that only thick schoolyard kids resort to such insults as the ones ‘lebanonhsh’ used, in order to silence someone. Ah yes maybe they learnt such manners from a certain senile heavily botoxed old man who will never be a president
By the way yes Samir Geagea and Amine Gmayel CAN still be presidents :-D… For all I care, they can all rot in hell, but it bugs Aoun’s worshipers.
Take care Michelle

this message is NOT addressed to michelle, silvana, 888 and kezballa :
i advise all christians to back up the new president GMS regardless of our differences . backing him up will give him strength and therefore strength for the presidency which symbols us the christians.
leave ur differences and you arguments and fightings behind and lets all work ahead for the future of our country and the unity of all its children (christians and muslims) .
i really suggest u apply this strategy because it is the only strategy that can help lebanon at the moment.

I have to follow Michelle’s footsteps in apologizing to N and other intellectual readers for such childish exchanges, but the Aounists are so cute and easy to provoke.

Free, i totally agree with you, we should back up our president…but I just want to understand these LFers for once in my life..after all what happened, and all what their so called leader promised and the stupid blind strategy he adopted, all what they can say: nananan Aoun wont be president…they prove that this is their only purpose, as if that they are hallucinating of Aoun….i was expecting a moment of fahes damir, but seem that this is hopeless….if they can just highlight any strong point in 14 MARCH and SG policy and why they are still f…ing arguing…yendabo chi kam sene wyerja3o yefhaso damiron la nchouf chou badna na3mel bel 2eben ldal..

37. Rodge | May 26th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
To everyone here,
I would like to apologize from all of you, but I’m really disgusted from the level of conversation and words trading. You are all wasting your time by replying to each others cursings, without looking to what really matters.
First of all, I want to blame some of the Aounists here, especially some new ones such as lebanonhsh, who came here and start to use low level words without paying any respect to all the respectable people here.
I wanna tell you ya lebanonhsh, there are other ways to tell us about ur opinion, other than using words that only show your true non value.
As for the rest, whether the Aounists or the LFers, you fell into this non sense changing of words, and I urge you all with respect to everyone of you, to search a common point thqat we can start to work on, knowing that while blaming the others, I sometimes find myself falling into the same discussion, and you all know that I’m so convinced, and now more than ever, that Aoun is the worse politician, and that he’s among the losers in what happened in the last week, but I don’t want to negociate that with the Aounists, since they will not listen to what I have to say.
Now moving to the main subject, and while sharing the fear most of you have regarding Sleiman and the way he was elected, as well as his relations with Syria, HA and the others, but we have to look for the facts and notice the following points:
- First, and expect the Prisoners issue in Syria, I didn’t find anything wrong in his speech, it was so balanced to say the least, and there are many positive points to mention, among them the Diplomatic relations with Syria, the International Tribunal, and his demand not to use the HA weapons inside etc…
- Second, the difference between Sleiman and Lahoud, is that the latter owed his presidency only to Syria, so he tried everything he can to satisfy Bashar and co. while Sleiman owe his presidency to all the partiesm, inside and outside Lebanon, so he will be forced to act straight and to work with all of them.
- Third, I think when you saw what happened to Lahoud, you avoid acting the same, mainly because of the international mood and pressure which have both changed a lot since 2004.
- Fourth, he can be a heroe if he acts straight, and I don’t see anyone denying this opportunity.
- Fifth, he is surrounded by the Christian leaders, who will represent a big pressure on him not to do the same things Lahoud did when all our leaders were fading.
Last but not least, we have an opportunity to make our future in 2009, so let us think right and elect the ones who at least proved they are working for the Christians welfare, not those who are doing advertising and consider themselves as heroes, while they have lost the only battle they wanted to win, and I mean Aoun.
I’m against election in the first place, but for those who will elect, don’t choose Aoun and Co. because only with this option we can give our 14 March Christian politicians the power to achieve what they want and what we are looking for, since by Choosing Aoun in 2005, the Christians left them helpless, and that is their only problem.
38. Silvana | May 26th, 2008 at 1:37 pm
Come on Rodge, they started it lol (just kidding). I have to say that although I agree with you, I am embarrassed to admit it was fun to see how affronted the Aounists get and their reaction to anyone opposing Aoun.
Anyway thumbs up to you.

Rodge, it is clear that Silvana and Michelle are having fun with the children Aounists, women know the best how to deal with children so I leave it to them.
But forget the children and think about Aoun and the ones like him in the Tayyar, can you imagine what those bastards would do if Aoun became president?? They will use the army to hunt LF and Kataeb people and everyone who doesn’t like them, then you will see their real face. They are like HA same level they will rub your nose in the c-r-a-p they live in, look what HA did to the Sunni in Beirut in 2008 and look what Aoun did to Christians in Beirut in 1990, the same hate because they are the same lowest form of society and when you try to be civilized with them they stab you.
Aounist and HA are the enemy like Syria and the Zawba3jieh are the enemy, never forget it and always think what Bachir Gemayel did with traitors like them.
41. Ra'fat | May 26th, 2008 at 2:09 pm
Rodge, thanks for the intelligent reply. This blog has degenerated lately into an exchange between children. I think that you are slightly optimistic about Sleiman. Right now the executive government will have two sides that oppose each other, that rarely agreed on anything, so I doubt that things will get done as that implies agreement. Also the reason Sleiman was chosen is because he has no opinion, so he could be a mediator between the two sides, which really diminishes the role of a president that is supposed to lead, and not be told what is better to do. On the other hand, I agree that the true way out of the dark tunnel is to have all/or most of the Christian MP’s with the same objectives. The way we are divided right now, that is our weakness. It will be challenging to convince people that this goes beyond LF and FPM, since these are the two simple frameworks most people seem to think within. It does not matter who gets elected into parliament as long as they are willing to work for a better Lebanon.
42. Michele | May 26th, 2008 at 3:01 pm

43. kezballah | May 26th, 2008 at 3:07 pm
N, halaktna bel moderation
Hable4Life (as Michelle calls you): believe all the fantasies you want about the blood s-ucke-r Aoun and his republic, it doesn’t mean they make sense in the real world, only in the fantasy world you living in.
If it wasn’t for your Aoun we wouldn’t have got to Taef, we only went to Taef after he destroyed everything and now he tries to do it again with your Zawba3a allies and the HA and Amal s-cu-m. This is how to work for the benefit of the Christians IN FANTASY LAND you Aounist f-oo-l.
44. wassim | May 26th, 2008 at 3:13 pm
michele i cant wait for 2009 anymore:D i really wanna see SG face sitting on a table with 1 deputee cz as u know he cant be a deputee with a criminal record! i really cant wait that moment anymore!
45. Rodge | May 26th, 2008 at 4:00 pm
Silvana, Raifat, Kezballah and Michele,
I’m so happy for ur response, and I perfectly understand what you have said.
Girls (Silvana & Michele), I know that u’re just having fun, and Kezballah I liked what you said about women being the best who understand children.
For myself, I had enough with some children here, since I tried hard to talk with them considering they are equal peers, but it was in vain.
Ra’fat, yes I know I’m optimistic, and maybe a little much, but I think we should all be like that. We are Lebanese and we cannot be desperate, it’s not our culture, eventhough i’m among the first ones to describe this agreement as being only a brief truce, but let’s hope we can benefit the most from it.
What I want to say, is that we can all have fun teasing each others, but let’s keep it like that, since we should consider ourselves as the big brother for our Aounists, and we should take them by hand and lead them to the end of their Tunnel.
Cheers everybody

When we are opposed to the reasoning you presented, we cannot but write back to the same level; but for ignorant of nanana what can we do…but others couldn’t see but GMA not being president…but I guess this is part of the ‘zabzabe’ we all Lebanese like to do, although we realize all facts anyway it was fun
i must say that i respect your post (#33); we should all have a common point…you may see that for the next election we need to elect 14March, i don’t…not because i like GMA but simply, from my end, the other option is meaningless; as per the last events, i prefer not to give my voice to whom have proved full of empty promises and zero on strategy…i am in the favor of a complete nizam 3almene, to make a sort of majlis chouyoukh la zou3ama ltawa2ef (w2awalon GMA; apparently it is impossible to get rid of those) and to have a young/fresh spirt politicians who will make a strong economy unaffected with political ups and down…i believe we should work towards that…

Leaving a note for the persons having written above.
PEACE! Where is your knowledge of Love? Keep your religion where it belongs: in your actions, not your political alligances. You are bound to one another by your God and your Country. And as I have yet to hear a politician claim a monopoly on God, I suggest you put your trust in more stable institutions than accords, pacts and transnational alligiances which may change overnight without you knowing it! Division is the begining of weakness, and in a country that seems unable to function due to already existing divisions, I further suggest you start re-thinking your words and choosing future words CAREFULLY!
Salam a-leikoun.
