Paul Fares gets my vote !
Posted by N10452I will vote for this guy if i could …
The man has balls, and stood with The Lebanese Front and Our project since the start, he split from the army when Aoun took over.
Here is his statement today … its so nice to hear someone talk sense at last
I will translate it for english readers:
I am confident that Federalism is the only way for Lebanon now, if we stay with this current regime, we are going either towards division or having a religious or secular state. The Federal State is the chance for saving Lebanon and is the insurance for its continuity and stability and most importantly it saves us from fears of division.

of topic but:

N,
This is scaring! look at this from Naharnet:
”
Fares Joins Presidential Race
Retired general Paul Fares joined the presidential race for 2007.
Fares said he advocates dividing Lebanon into 24 or 34 “confessionally homogeneous” regions with their own deputies.
He said he also advocates turning Lebanon into a federal system, saying the president should not always be Maronite.”
Again you like to support this stupid? no way again somebody from the Army. trust me, ex or not.
