  First of all, Fou2ad seniora is the US’s ally, and the US is Israel’s best friend, so I don’t know what kind of idiot could have reached the conclusion that seniora is against Israel.

  Second, Lebanon is only at the present the only arab country to be still at war with Israel. In the past, when the christians were still in power, Lebanon was the only neighbor of Israel to never fight it. In all the wars, egypt, syria, and jordan were getting pounded by the israeli army, and they had never had peace with israel until now.

  The reason lebanon still hasn’t made peace with Israel, unlike the rest of the arab countries, is because it’s not governed completely by an american puppet dictator, unlike the rest of the arab coutries, and it’s known that all arab people of all nationalities are against Israel, it’s there leaders that make peace with Israel.

  Lebanese christians are the stupidest and most hypocrits in lebanon, not the muslims. They have these beliefs and 3i2ad nafsiye that closeness to the white man of europe and the US and closeness to the israelies is a sign of how civilized they are, which is obvious from how they let terry rod larson(Israel and America’s ambassador in the UN) to negotiate electoral laws and candidate names. They try to distance themselves from the arab countries which they originate from, getting hypnotized by the lies of said akl and may el murr about their great pheonecian ancestry, and about the great lebanese minds that are the best in the world, and about how they are the most innovative and creative people in the world, when all they are really good at buliding is toilet seats.They take pride in any famous criminal, thief, and oppurtunist who lives abroad as long as he is of lebanese origin. They think that only their country has cedars, despite the fact that moracco has more cedars than lebanon.They get maids from africa and dress them up in the same way the white man dresses his maids, and order them to call them using words they got from seeing white man’s films, because it will give them a feeling of racial superiority. And despite all the harm the US has done to them, from trying to cement the palestinians in their place to making the taef and getting the syrian army into their lands, they still want to be the US’s best friend, and the US just takes advantage of their closed mindedness to exploit them and their resources, since they see them as subhumans onto whom human rights cannot be applied in war, which was evident in 2006.
  I say to all lebanese muslims, and especially to the shiites, stop trying to look up to the christians, and look in the mirror and you will see something much greater. You will see that you don’t have their constant doubtfulness about who they are, you don’t have their constant worry about what the white man will think when he visits your country, and you don’t talk french to your kids. You are a deterrent that the west and their puppet arab dictators despise, you are the only pride the subjugated arab people have, don’t ever give up your resistance!

  You started very well, but later you F***cked of so badly.
  I don’t really know what is ur religion and ur opinion and toughts (the only thing I know is that u support Aoun and his allies) but what you said is so unrespectful and so humiliating to Christians, and it only proves how much hatred you have, which is the same hatred ur people (Aounists - HA) have for Christians.
  I won’t defend Christians, and also i won’t attack Muslims (whether Sunnis or Shiites) since I have respect for all religions, but what I want to say that without the Christians, Lebanon would have been the same like other Arab countries, meaning a retarded country with retarded minds ruled by a Dictator.

  The only reason Christians have resorted to the west is because of hatred projected upon them by people like yourself from within their own country. Today HA (as it always was) is NOT a resistance it’s an armed militia working under the guidelines of foreign power. It has done NO good to the stability and independence of Lebanon. Instead it occupies its street, it prosecutes and terrorizes its citizens, kidnaps and interrogates them and does’t exempt even the local authorities.

  Your attitude towards Christians speaks mountains of your ignorance.

  I agree with the gist of Hitti’s view.

  I would add, that more Christians today share the anti-Israel anti-semite view criticized here, after 30 years of Syrian rule/propaganda and a new large dose of post 9/11 “intellectual” leftism.

  Finally Saniora and others (**) are more hypocritical than Hezbo. When you say muqawameh in the bayan wizareh, you make it impossible to stop Hezbo later.

  Like when you said “Sacred Pali cause” in the 1960’s you could not stop the PLO from taking over.

  BAJAM, it all starts with IDEALS you espouse and the words you use.

  Saniora’s statement ” Lebanon last to peace” is another way of saying we are not masters of our own destiny.

  Either say NEVER, or NOW or “I’ll decide later” you empty headed moron, why say “after everybody else” and then claim that you are a leader.

  Lah ya 3ami… you are missing the real reason… it is not hypocracy… it is paradigm shift

  The Moslems (and Christians) who are still in Lebanon believe that the “land” is more important than money!

  The Lebanese who left Lebanon, believes that land is not important but money and social survival is the aim of life…

  Based on this, the Moslems in Lebanon consider Israel their enemy because it stole the land. The writer and his supporters, do no care about the land and they use the logic that economy and prosperity is far more important than liberating the land. Thus the conflict.

  Each side has their own belief set which is correct in their own accord.

  In my opinion, it is the clashes of paradigms (aka clashes of the cultures.) Luckily, the clashes of paradigm causes conflict but not civil war. Clashes of Culture causes civil war. So, the 1975-90 war resulted in leaving in Lebanon one culture (for the population of the other culture fled away) but with 2 different paradigms… this is another post…

  The reason why he likes Aoun n the Aounists because both Aounists n Hizbies have one thing in common:
  They both like to project the image of a victim, as well as persecuted n humiliated people!

  So get over that complexe ya Libanon, n instead of whining and burning tires just limit ur procreation to 2 max 3 kids n work on their education!

  ‘libanon’ is a blind follower of the angry Arab professor. He uses the same terminology (”white-man”, puppets, Humus and potato). Turn to the original (angry Arab blog) to get more on this.

  Still he has a point that is sad, yet true:
  “…it’s known that all Arab people of all nationalities are against Israel, it’s there (their?) leaders that make peace with Israel.”

  I really cannot understand the logic behind the strategy of “the last Arab to make peace”; and I agree with JW on this.

  It is so stupid and not wise to commit yourself to a dangerous idea. Every amateur politician would tell: never promise anything.
  So why promise such an idiotic and unhelpful promise? and insisting on reassuring it every few months? unexplainable….
  .
