Last Chance for Christians …

I dont know how stubborn can we get, we have been compromising every 10-15 years and not realizing how weak we are getting ..

15 years ago, we signed Taef and became equal in parliament representatives, now we are on the verge of losing this equality and losing our political role for good.

I hope our leaders read carefully this article, i truly hope so, we are not even represented in the Arab summit, we are counting on our ‘allies’ to get us more seats … this is how pathetic our situation is ..

The Presidency is the KEY, it has always been and it should have been settled long time ago if it wasnt for Aoun’s stubborness and 14th of march disagreement one candidate.

فقد ازاح رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري بشطحة قلم موضوعي المحكمة ذات الطابع الدولي والحكومة عن واجهة الحدث، ليفتح مبكراً باب معركة رئاسة الجمهورية ويقع المسيحيون في هذا الفخ، نتيجة لسجالهم المتصاعد حول نصاب جلسة الانتخاب، وليعيد السجال حول قانون الانتخابات، فيدخل المسيحيين في متاهة الدائرة الانتخابية، وهي على اهميتها القصوى، ثانوية اليوم مقارنة باحتمالات الفراغ الدستوري

مما يعيد مشهد عام 1988. وعلى مثال مقولة “مخايل ضاهر او الفوضى” ستكون المقولة “الثلثان او الفراغ الرئاسي”.

اما اسوأ السيناريوهات فيكمن في ان الفراغ الرئاسي سيؤدي حتماً الى “طائف ما”. مع العلم ان النواب ذهبوا الى الطائف في ما مضى على قاعدة 6 للمسيحيين و5 للمسلمين، فأعطى الطائف المناصفة 6 في مقابل 6 وتحققت المثالثة في المناصفة. اما اليوم فإن اي طائف جديد ينتج من الفراغ الرئاسي سيؤدي الى المثالثة حكماً

I have had enough of launching wake up calls, no one can be that dumb politically not to see that coming .. and if he is and cannot do anything about it, this is even worse ..

    What chance ? Did you mean reunion for a chance? Christians are divided and FAILEd their lebanese concept , they need a miracle to stand up again. I am not being pessimistic toward this case ,but HILWE AL SARA7A. Christians are suffering because of 2 main reasons ;
    Unresolved conflict; problems at home, social life , on the JOB, daily life style , lack of honesty , these factors are based on value and past UNRESOLVED brotherly conflict (wars) christians were never able to get over it despite AMAL/HEZBALLAH who solved their issues as example. Christians are not connected,secured or happy. When you are not connected at work ( either you will quit or you live with it ) Christians choose to QUIT ; the next few yrs are going to be miserable . CHRISTIANS = IRAQI CHALDEANS , who lost their kingdoms (al dawla al kildiya) and became minority in iraq (2%) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    2, Immigrations; This is a big shame . I am not going to repeat previous comments ,but would you plz register your kids as lebanese! for the seek of god and lebanon JUST DO IT. Also, 10452 im very disappointed at you , what happen to the immigration POST that you were talking about? I am going to leave this BLANK so maybe you’ll post something productive instead of cursing GMA day and night.
    Again , no massi7e /massi7e meeting unless DR samir admits his mistakes. I told you this from before ……SOLVE YOUR CONFLICT AND WORK ON UNION NOW, OTHERWISE BECOME LEBANESE CHALDEANS !! Our destiny is to live togheter under one roof CALLED FPM ROOF, or lebanese roof . DO OR DIE .
