Is this Lebanon or Iraq ?
Posted by N10452Salafists Jihadists were demonstrating 2 days ago asking for the liberation of their fellow Islamist brothers jailed in Roumieh. The demonstration was more of a show off and Sheikh Al Shahal ( head of the Salafists) was there personally surrounded by armed to the teeth jihadists.
Sunni majority MP Mustafa Alloush was invited to the protest but was attacked later on by the demonstrators themselves. Many of those demonstrators support or are members of the Fata7 el Islam movement and are still on the loose.
I have stated in several posts how dangerous are those groups, and how irresponsably Hariri is dealing with them by giving them more freedom. They might get him some extra votes in the elections, but those are disastrous on the long run and the first ones to pay the price will be the Christians of course.
For those who saw the protest on TV, i am sure you never thought for a second that was actually occuring in Lebanon, it was more of an Iraqi scene.

this was a paragraph from the above post .
it shows how the ewatjiyyi are ghayooreen 3al masee7iyyi .
in year 2000 the danniyyi incidents happened and those salafiyyi attacked a few christian villiages in kadaa zgharta killing some ppl.
but neshkor alla it didn’t lwad to tehjeer from there thanks to the fact that the ewatjiyyi didn’t act.
please IF this incident happens one day please ya ewatjiyyi tell ur hakim not to show concern or do any action or a hojoom modad or anything like that because such an action will lead to the tehjeer of the christians from their villiages that are left for them after the ewet showed concerns about christians in many areas like jabal lebnen and east sayda etc .
can u imagine a zgharta without christians like those poor villiages in jabal lebnen and east sayda? it can happen if ur ewet show concern about christians there.

It is really frightening, but what to do when we are living in an Arab world where estremists Shias are confronted with extremists Sunnis, and vice versa.
No need to wait for anything from the Government or the Army, cause as usual the problem will be worse and they will never act upon. the same thing with Hizb el Chitan, they ignored them and allow them to control everything.
God save us from both extremists.
Stallion,
Ya 3ayni 3leik shou shatir, you were prasing Rima for not mentioning Aoun and Bassil, why don’t you follow her steps and for once don’t mention the LF and Hakim, and at least try to comment on the post.

I think the inaction of the army in Beirut and Tripoli makes moderate muslim like ahdab and future MPs look really weak…That poor Ahdab kept begging the army to interfere…but Again if the salafieh attacked MP Alouch, that proves that Hariri and fatfat do not approve of their behaviour…
Does anyone know how strong are these salafis in the North?

11. Rima | August 10th, 2008 at 11:49 am
Can someone explain to me what is the deal with these salafists and if sunnis of the north support them?
12. Rodge | August 10th, 2008 at 11:55 am
After reading the following, I don’t see any difference between Salafist (Sunni Extremists) or Hizbist (Shiaas Extremists) they are both the same, so please Aounists don’t try to play innocent:
13. Rodge | August 10th, 2008 at 12:08 pm
Rima,
The Salifeih in particular, and all the extremists in general are usually active in poor areas, they cdome and try to give the families there what they want and what the Governments usually don’t provide them with. They have the money power, so they are infiltrating in this way. the region of Akkar, and some of Tripoli areas are considered as the poorest. And lately they were fed by the Shiaas attack on Beirut, so they used the sectarian language promising the Sunnia that they can defned them more than anyone else.
Those extremists come mainly from Gulf countries, especially from Saudi, they entered to Lebanon without the need for Visa, they come as tourists, and then they start their activities up in the north.
I don’t agree that Hariri is supporting them, but I see that Hariris are not doing the necessary to fight them. I think Future movement are losing more control with time, allowing those extremists to gain land and power.
It is a similar position to the one which led to Hizbullah control over the Shiaas, who were ruled by Kamel Assasd and Nabih Berri, they were both diminishing their rights, so they saw Hizb giving them everything, money and power.
Does anyone still remember the slogan of Hizb??
“Mara mouti3a, volvo sari3a, Shikka wasi3a, M16 Lammi3a”
مرة مطيعة، فولفو سريعة، شقة وسيعة، أم 16 لميعة
I don’t remember the right order
14. Michele | August 10th, 2008 at 12:15 pm
Rodge next time u say Aouni u don’t need to add the word “ghashim” next to it coz u’ll be having repetitive words. Just by mentioning z word Aouni it means defacto Ghashim.
15. Rima | August 10th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
Thank you Rodge…but I still think these salafis are controllable if the will exists…
16. Rima | August 10th, 2008 at 12:33 pm
Hi Michele…where have you been?
funny comment
17. Rodge | August 10th, 2008 at 12:43 pm
U’re right Michele,
But since I was talking to Stallion, and because he’s ghashim, i didn’t want him to think that i’m praising him by saying Aouni, so I add that description just to send a clear and understandable message.
Rima,
U’re right, they could be controllable for now, but with time no one will be able to control them, and frankly I don’t see any good will in this regard.
18. Rima | August 10th, 2008 at 12:58 pm

23. The dude | August 10th, 2008 at 10:17 pm
Just a small pointer: The difference between Shias and Sunnis in Lebanon is that extremism represents the Shia in parliament while it does not for Sunnis. The actions of Hizballah might see to the fact that the people you saw on TV will be one day in parliament to counter the Shias. The fate of Lebanon truly depends on the Christian vote in 2009. Aoun & Hizballah’s unholy alliance winning next election will simply breed more extremism.

Rima u know nothing about salafists, these guys are uncontrolable, they are linked to al Quaida. And the person who is responsable for this are Bahia and saad hariri, they dont know how to deal with them, they give them money but no directives, they support them yet they cannot influance them, The Hariris are an irresponsable political family..
I am getting sick of this country
