Solide, The Khawand family & The Freedom Front ( Jebhit el 7oriyye) opened an official site for lebanese prisoner Boutros Khawand, and asked the president of the republic Michel Suleiman to put in all efforts to free Boutros and the rest of the prisoners.

This should have been done long time ago, but nonetheless, regardless if good or bad intentions are behind it, it is our duty to support it and spread it around.

For those who dont know how he was kidnapped, here is an excerpt from the site.

Boutros Khawand “was kidnapped in front of his house in broad daylight” in 1992
Boutros Khawand, a prominent member of the political bureau of the Kataeb Party, “disappeared” on September 15, 1992, about a half-mile from his home in Sinn al-Fil in East Beirut, an area under the control of the Syrian army. Khawand’s car was intercepted by a group of about two dozen men, dressed in civilian clothes but wearing army-issue boots, who arrived in a red van and two BMW automobiles. Khawand’s son Fadi, who was in the house at the time of the abduction, made the following written statement:
On that day, Tuesday, September 15, 1992, my father left the house at 9:00 o’clock in the morning as usual. He got in his car, a red Opel, and drove toward the main street. Minutes later, I heard gun shots, I ran out of the house to investigate. I found my father’s car parked in the middle of the road with the driver’s side door wide open, and my father nowhere to be found. [More]

    It’s a real shame,
We should all stand in one voice, one heart, and one arm to free each and everyone of our Lebanese prisoners,
No one should close his eyes on such an issue….

with all due respect, if anyone concerned with the website can read this:

    - technically, the website is poor. the arabic is not well organized (Joomla! is not so good for Arabic websites).

    - the content is poor.

    - most importantly, it looks like a jebha website and with a page about khawand. better remove the links page too! it is outdated ;)

this is not harmful, but not useful either.
