  GE and Siemens are good buys, their stock is hammered due to their financial arms but will be part of the future energy transition since they produce and are leaders in wind energy etc… I would buy energy funds (exxon, chevron, etc..) somewhere around December when the earnings for companies come out. The earnings will be pretty poor combined with the lowest demand for oil will artificially drive the stock down further. Invest in companies that are flush with cash and can weather the upcoming storm. As for the market, just like history ( which my friend ja3far like to read) it will keep oscillating up and down till it reaches the bottom.

  This is our end (haydee ekhretna), the Lebanese Christians,to look for the Islamic Republic of Iran as a role model. We were the first Middle Eastern community to connict with the west and here we have a looser with his moron followers taking us backwards ! “Tony the Aouni” is now saying they have churches in Iran but in Saudi they don’t!!Great, then send your 300k Lebanese Christians working in the Gulf to your beloved Iran and let’s see what happens !

  What’s new about Aoun making fun of himslef?
  he always does.
  But what has changed is that he did it this time for Money, so for him it isn’t important to make fun of himself as long as he is assured to come bakc from Iran with millions in his pocket, and as much as he makes fun of himslef, the amount will be increased.
  And he talks about the electoral money.

  Yes for the all the Christians that did not know, apparently in Iran Christians are not fourth class citizens but third class, lucky them; Now Iran is the model of tolerance and acceptance we should inspire to as opposed to other more oppressive regimes… Iran and tolerance what an oxymoron…

  Ja3far, why dubai disappearing?? they may slow down a bit but long term I think this crisis will be to the benefit of oil producing countries. The fundamentals of commodities are still positive and once the panic will stop the funds will jump back into commodities before equities. Also if the western world goes into recession demand for oil might go down a bit but on the long run it will be increasing as the investments into the new energy technologies will be postponed. Also the deflation of equities and real estate in western societies eventhough also affects oil producers will offer an opportunity for good value picking(and am not talking about the 6 apple shares am planning to buy with my pocket money), and you will dubai will buying Miami as masyaf

  i like your positivity Fuziad ( except when you are talking about HA ;))…
  the thing is Dubai is not an oil producer.. its made its fortune based on real state investments and mafias… it was a money hob for russian,european, iranian, indians, and of course middle easterns..
  90 % of the projects there were based on real state… the way the prices were going in the last 2 years were umbelivebly exagerated .. it was the same mistake happening in the state but multiplied by ten…
  halae in the states there is a real country with solid ground to stand at the end… however, in dubai,, i do wonder…
  if you look at the gulf stock market in the last two days .. you will see that ,yesterday for example, the government of saudi taking part to save little of the market … however , in dubai.. c est une chute libre …

  Well I would like to share some of my own beliefs with both of you regarding the financial and economic crisis.

  I think the bottom line, is that we can say goodbye to Privatizaion and Globalisation, and the world is heading towards a new leadership Politically and economically speaking.

  Eventhough many of you like Bush, and eventually the US, but I have a different stance towards that man, I’m convinced tht George W. Bush was, is and will be the worse President the US has ever seen.
  He started his time with a disaster that changed the world (9/11) and will end it with a big Financial disaster that will in turn change the world permanently.

  He just made the world hates America, and America hates the world.
  Honestly, and with respect to the US and its people and all the American habits and traditions, this is my opinion about Bush, and that’s why I prefer Obama as next president.

  I am not talking about Saudi arabia or any other country. The topic was Aoun’s assertion that there’s religious freedom in Persia…

  You can add afghaniztan and Pakistan and whatever you want. My point is what Aoun said is absolutely wrong and farcical…

  I agree with you regarding Saudi. Two wrongs don’t make it right.

  Dear Ja3far,

  I have been writing about AOUN because my father (Allah Yer7amo) was one of his closest friends.

  I have been writing many of posts where I explained how the General of Paris changed into the General of Rabiyeh and sold his values, his principles and his soul.

  I also explained that he is mentally ill, and how and when and by whom he was treated in Deir El Saleeb.

  I also explained that he is a MEGALOMANIAC and that nobody dares to talk to him or express any idea that is different from his idea, because he goes completely MAD.

  I also explained that I am not a Pro-L.F., and do not know Geagea or any particular L.F. leader, and that I go to many web sites including AL TAYYAR where I now see many lies, which a shame for our history.

  AOUN is a man of hatred and you DO NOT KNOW HIM.

  Finally, many followers of AOUN are with him because they hate Geagea. I say to these GOOD and HONEST Lebanese patriots: GO AWAY FROM HIM. He is a liar and a COWARD. He is NOT a hero at all. Everything he says is invented….

  P.S: Many times I challenged AOUN followers to answer my questions…you know what? until this moment, they were never able to answer honestly!!!!

  Dear Ja3far,

  After 2005, my father was completely shocked by the changes! We use to talk at home openly of everything. The very first thing that AOUN did was to become a friend with Michel EL MURR. But AOUN has repeatedly said to my father that “EL MURR was so much corrupted that he must die in prison”…My father kept talking to AOUN and to all the military around him who would say that they had no power to do anything!!!!
  My father left me a complete diary of all his records with AOUN. When I read it, I feel like vomiting. My father has believed in him nearly for 25 years!!!! and yes as RIMA says he must have been a LIAR from the beginning (a very good liar, to cheat so many people).
  Another thing, my father new very well that AOUN was under psychiatric treatment, but he always thought that this was a minor issue compared to the patriotism, values, principles, and charisma of AOUN.
  What is NOW left of these values and principles? Completely shuttered!!! You cannot have someone changing his fundamentals to be elected president??? This is were his MADNESS is coming back. He believes he is the greatest of all. Then, how can the greatest of all NOT be president??? His megalomaniac problem is HUGE… all those who now him personally will never deny this. They will never deny that they cannot talk to him and express a different idea of him. My father was probably the only one who dared telling him:”My General, this is wrong”. AOUN would be enraged, and enter in anger; but because my father was not looking for any political (or economical) interests, he would pursue his role of friend and advisor. My father always thought that his presence near aOUN was more beneficial than his absence, because none of the others dared to speak!!!!

  AOUN followers don’t know who he REALLY IS!!! This also is a psychological issue.

  If AOUN reads this blog he will know immediately who is my father (there were only very FEW who were near him during 25 years). Also all the people around him today (especially the ex-military, and all those who were in Yarze and then in B3abda) know EXACTLY who is my father.

  Let them answer if they DARE!!! Let us put everything OPENLY at the disposal of the public, especially his treatments at Deir El Salleb.
