Ma kharjoun education hal 3alam .. kharjoun da3ess bil sermeye !
NAIROBI, Kenya, Nov. 30 — Hundreds of demonstrators in Khartoum, Sudan’s capital, poured into the streets on Friday demanding the execution of a British teacher who was convicted of insulting Islam because her class of 7-year-olds named a teddy bear Muhammad.
The protesters, some carrying swords, screamed, “Shame, shame on the U.K.!” and, “Kill her, kill her by firing squad.”
They were calling for the death of Gillian Gibbons, the teacher who was sentenced Thursday to 15 days in jail. Under Sudanese law, she could have spent six months behind bars and received 40 lashes. { …}

Dear Sys,
I believe you misunderstood N as he did not mean Muslims, or even Sudan’s people but rather everyone demanding for her execution (even if they’re all Muslims and from Sudan). Hope That clarifies.

A very intelligent reply, Rachelle… No, really. Now go back and watch Fashion Mission, or Fashion Something, you educated girl you.
Leb voice, you can’t leave a space for ambiguity with statements like these (Those people, etc…).
Elie FC, the abnormality lies in the reaction whomever is its author. Otherwise everything is permitted, you just have to feel offended.

Sick post by racist people . This negative attitudes influnces your ability to get along with the rest of the lebanese people. You are the most prejudice people (not all of you) on the planet earth . Shame on you , you better not be calling yourselves LEBANESE forces anymore. You didnt have to express your hatred in this kind of manner ya chabeb , just accept the historical presidential lost and move on to the next level .
And sys
Many people avoid apologize because they feel awkward about admitting they were wrong. Thank you .

Waw “elie”…never thought people like you still existed in Lebanon..
i bet you’ve never been to beirut, and always lived in your God knows christian or jewish little village…never met a muslim in your life..
people like you should be expelled from Lebanon..just disgusting…your radicalism is as ‘barbaric and ignorant” as those who you are critisising…
11. nad. | December 3rd, 2007 at 5:31 pm
“elie”
By “jewish village” i meant, maybe you’re just pretending to be called elie and posting here all the way from israel…
Cos i never met a lebanese christian who would go down to that level..
just primitive

To nad.
You can’t respond to racism by racism.
Nad, if you’re writing what you actually feel, then you’re a racist too.

“…Ma kharjoun education hal 3alam .. kharjoun da3ess bil sermeye !…”
repeated specilly for SYS
14. Leb voice | December 4th, 2007 at 7:10 pm
Once again I repeat what i said to Ali an Sys, HE WAS NOT TALKING ABOUT MUSLIMS!!! I can say “those people” and mean the people in the picture, that doesn’t mean im talking about every single Muslim on this earth…
).
And even if there was a bit of fanaticism, it would only be in response to other fanatics (in which case its ethical).
I dont find Nad’s comment to be fanatic (if it wasnt for the last tincy weeny bit “i never met a Lebanese Christian” part, but mar2iya
Elie, those to attack the woman in ure example would be fanatics as well, no questions asked. What the f*** happened to freedom of speech?? It was the Kids who chose to call the teddy “Mohammad” not the teacher, she simply didn’t understand the gravity of the matter (if there is any). Does that mean she should be executed?
Heck No!
BTW: to Sys:I read it time and time again i find the post to be hateful but not the least bit racist/fanatic. Ill apologize for N for not being “politically correct” this time

oh mon dieu c’est hallucinant ! o_o !
le pire c’est que je vois pas en quoi le prénom gêne - même d’un point de vue éthique, c’est pas un crime - .
C’est plutot eux qui devraient se faire tuer …

This is N’s blog and he’s free to say his words. People in here are free to express their opinions even if their ideas differ from those who they follow ( ouwet) . But, on each and every KHAYBET AMAL, they feel bad about themselves and start throwing verbal racist insults(read #3). They even have difficulty finding the right words to describe their KHAYBET AMAL so they tend to post the way above . Is that right ?
In fact, what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong. N is completely wrong about this , so his ZA2IFE on the blog . Plz do not be a ZA2IF (eventough i respect the way you apologized on his behalf ). It’s really sad to see high educated ppl posting this way.
17. Sys | December 5th, 2007 at 9:09 am
Hi.
I cannot read N’s intentions, thoughts or any other internal processes. But saying “Those people” in a public forum (Although you are entitled to say whatever you want) where there are always some commentators fibrillating with hate is not a good choice of Words. It WILL resonate in an extremely large manner to include a big chunk of the population; in this case, it could be Muslims, Africans or people of lesser socio-economic status etc. Hence, if someone would intensely tell you: “you people” followed by “kharjkoun da3ess bil sermeye”, you have to admit that your reaction would be towards generalization.
And about “kharjoun da3ess bil sermeye !”, these most degrading words have usually been used in Lebanon to express disdain mixed with an expression of a SUPERIORITY of some kind (racial?); I mean who would you crush with your shoe??
Of course any decision to murder a human being on the account of the name of a teddy bear IS catastrophic, and I understand angry reactions, but not hate. Fortunately it ended well.
“…And even if there was a bit of fanaticism, it would only be in response to other fanatics (in which case it’s ethical)….” : This, though, I didn’t get. Is there a limit where fanaticism becomes ethical??
Sorry for being long, and thanks especially to N, for allowing this space.
And now, I’ll go and google “sermeye”
18. SONIA | December 5th, 2007 at 1:40 pm
What is there to talk about? Some one somewhere made a big mistake, and i don’t mean the teacher.
19. leb voice | December 6th, 2007 at 1:23 am
Dear Sys, very well said. As u mentioned, it all depends how u read the post.
Ali, in politics and ethics there is no such thing as “right is right, wrong is wrong”, there are points of view. Instead of saying why u think he is wrong though, u tend to simply analyze his position by linking it to his political status. I do not believe it is the case, people all around the world are outraged at this matter, and i don’t think they are all LF
BTW whats a ZA2iFE??? :S
20. leb voice | December 6th, 2007 at 1:26 am
PS: in my post before; 1 bad choice of words: “hateful” meant “angry”.
21. Ali1559 | December 6th, 2007 at 9:45 am
leb voice
In politics and ethics , you should not respond to an angry group with your own anger . This will only create chaos.
Ma kharjoun education hal 3alam .. kharjoun da3ess bil sermeye, this is WRONG cuz it is coming out of an (suposibly) an educated person. In this is politicaly wrong sitaution , you should accept the blame of your actions and express a sincere apology (at least for his muslims ZA2IFE on the blog) …
PS : ZA2IFE stands for hand clapping and thank you for not being one , good job .
