OK if it’s true you helped an old lady, thanks. But the big picture is that muslims came to Europe (fled from the socio-economic reality of islam) voluntarily and enjoyed and still enjoy more freedom and wealth than they had and were not wronged by us. But they thanked us by jihad (Van Gogh, Madrid, London, Glasgow). So look in the mirror. Ask yourself: if I were a Lebanese or European Christian, would I come to like islam? You worry about the way that (some) Europeans speak and laugh about muslims, we worry about assaults and threats. There is a difference. Capisce?

Its really funny how u moderate my comments but yet bright people like elie go uncensord. As for the subject of this article, i think that such actions r not strange to areas like austria and germany where neo nazi groups r finding out that at this point, attacking muslims will get them way more support then attacking jews. And u should remember that hitler came to power through democratic means, and if these groups take power, i think we’ll have very intresting events in the future. And one last thing, i totally agree with ur first phrase, i havent agreed with anything on this blog for a longtime. But of course our definetion of the word nation differ

what respect are you talking about my friend?
Besides the educated minority, we are receiving insults day and night.
They organize all kinds of TV programs to make fun of our beliefs.
The sick thing is that this and other topics are exploited by the right wing for election purposes only.
Those politicians don’t care about anything except the number of seats they will get.
The consequence is more hate and animosity.
If you think I am biased, speak with a decent and educated non European Muslim.

If there is anyone that should know and practice religious tolerence it is the lebanese…darn you people, ever since our independence we have paid the price of intolerence and mistrust between the major faiths…let’s not forget that the only way to survive is through understanding, dialogue and respect for one another’s faith. We should set that example to the whole world.

about Europe,
I am sorry but even though the story you told is injust in ur regards as an Arab Muslim .. Europeans treated and respected Muslims for the past few years and all they got in return was trouble and fanatics ..

Unfortunatelly, the reaction now is becoming worrying and more fanatic groups anti-islamic & anti-arab are rising and getting more popular ..

Netherlands and Austria and many countries are taking severe measures which are unjust but unfortunatelly necessary since the problem is in Islam itself and thats something you cant solve by dialogue ..

I hesitated in posting the article because i was worried some people might think i actually enjoyed the insults but am just faking being bothered by them ..

Well it is not true .. i totally am against such religious attacks .. because there is a big difference between critisizing a religion and mocking it in such a vulgar way ..

Perhaps it is a good idea to show you what happened personally with me here in Europe.
Just for information, I am a Lebanese Muslim doing my Masters degree in strategic management in Holland.

Once I was going back home and on my way I encountered a theft incident. A dutch guy stole the purse of a dutch lady and escaped.
I ran after him and caught him after a chase and returned the purse to the lady.
I got rewarded from the police and my story was all other the news.
When the police asked about my nationality, identity, beliefs and motive, I told them that I am Muslim from Lebanon and this is our values.

Unlike all other incidents where the word Muslim is highlighted and they say it all over the media, they didn’t mention it anywhere.
They even said that I come from the city where the incident took place???!!!

Although I stressed the fact that I am an Arab Muslim, they refused to write it down. I realized that this is their policy. They will never ever write that a Pakistani, Turk… didn’t anything positive. After asking, I noticed that the same story is repeated everywhere.

Unfort only the educated Europeans can see this reality, not the zealous or the uneducated.

You should see how far islamophobia has gone and then you will have a complete picture.

Nobody can dare mess with a Jew here simply because they have a lot of power in politics and the media.
