Whatever Happens, i am staying ..
Posted by N10452Many blame me for critisizing all politicians here, for showing how worrying the situation is, how desperate our people are, well those are all facts to be honest and i cannot describe the situation as prosperous and not worrying when it is.
I cannot tell you everything is gonna be ok when it is not.
One thing i can tell you, is that i have been resisting the temptation to leave Lebanon for more than a year now, i tried to convince myself that i must leave this country, but something kept me from leaving everytime, either i would get a better job offer here, or i would change my mind at the last second. The only reasons that i had to leave were purely carreer-wise and financial, but those fortunatelly i was able to fix here.
I am staying in Lebanon for the time being, i dont care what happens, we survived a civil war and an Israeli war and 25 years of Syrian hegemony, we went to Anti-Syrian demonstrations, we achieved the Cedars Revolution, we cannot leave all this behind and leave, not to a bunch of rotten politicians ..
I stayed optimistic for so long, i kept faith in my country and my people, even though they didnt show anything to back this faith and hopes.
I am staying here, we should all stay here.

I respect so much your decision, I feel sorry that I am out of Lebanon since 1984. I tried to turn back but was a nightmare. I decided to help my country and specially the LF from abroad. I am in USA and I like you guys a lot.
Our friends from tayyar they are now 45.000 subscribers. How about us in the LF? Why we don’t reorganize ourselves and begin to show that we are more than them? Our leadres! maybe they are busy now in the tribunal and no time for internal matters? I am affraid that after is to late my friends…

May I add that “we” should come back & forget about the big car, extra huge house & plasma TV that the “west” could give us (which in turn would take our soul as a captive) with the job…

definitely the picture is not a rosy one and the most difficult thing for guys is not finding a job..thankgod you overcame this problem N,but lots of others have not and the flood is taking so many guys leading them sometimes to get a one-way- ticket..
working abroad is usually more fruitful on the financial level..but it deprives lebanon of capable “minds ” and “muscles”..hopefully all the problem of unemployment will soon be dealt with..
looking back to the 90’s we find no real plans to better the career opportunities or enlarge job market..since the 90’s politicians have been totally busy getting a chair or saving the one they sit on..
some lucky guys were able to get themselves a job in elections seasons(wish there are elections everyday..we won’t find anyone jobless)but lots of others missed the chance..
today, nothig has changed ..ah oh wait..yes something changed..the genius politicians have employed lots of guys..they are using them to fuel their demonstrations,sit-ins,political carnavals, electoral events..they clap for them, show their “popularity”,clash with political opponents..you mention it..
we need targeted plans that consider our interests not theirs…we need that the politicians act as representatives of their people and not as shareholders in a company expecting to collect benefits for themselves ..

For the fellow who mentioned the issue of reorganizing. I completely agree with you.
I am in currently in Central London living and studying.
I really hope we can start building our network.

Zahle’,
Can you find me a job with 1 over 100 $ what I make and help all my family in Lebanon? I understand you like to stay but be sure your TV, car and house in Lebanon are bigger than mine abroad! Nobody can help Lebanon if the neighbor still f****** with us and we have people like Aoun and Nasrallah arround.

1000 & 1 reasons to stay…
If I am abroad, it doesn’t mean I left…I am still haveing my lebanese passport, I am still helping my family and I am still going to lebanon everytime there is a need.
Please Not staying, is because we can’t just stay without any meaning. Look at the Sit in in down town, do you think they are better than the others abroad?
I would like to tell my friends in LF in Lebanon that we are abroad and we are working for them. We are not KHOUWANA as it seems to me the blog is telling!
LF forever . . . in Lebanon or abroad. We don’t accept to be punished after all that years of suffering . . .

Shame on the Lebanese people especially the Christians, why can’t we get a long for once!!!! all i see here are abuse for the FPM people and they abuse you, why don’t we forget Aoun and Geagea and start thinking about our country. The past should be forgotten and the person with the best policy to save Lebanon should be elected.
