Lebanese Christians ..
Posted by N10452I was inspired to write this post by the Rugby games lately.
I think the best way we can describe our status as Christians in Lebanon as two rugby teams in a scrum.
You have two sides pushing and exhausting each others to assume leadership, every now and then, one does a mistake messing up the scrum and giving an advantage to the other but then takes back that advantage on the next scrum.
You have the referee, an external factor putting the ball on the side of the strongest everytime.
It is more than natural than all of us be on the same scrum, joining forces and pushing away the invadors, yet ironically each is on his own side.
As a result, we are both getting penalized while others are taking advantage of our mess to score tries and drops.
What we need is a “wilkinson” in our team.

sorry N, the referee doesnt put the ball in on the side of the strongest. one of the players puts it in and his team ruck it back behind them to where the person who put the ball in has moved in order to pass it on to other players.
refs never touch the ball. they are supposed to be neutral but unfortunately like current lebanese president, often the refs are biased. today we saw a great example of that in a game with france.

Christians have always been the guardians of the Lebanese republic. It’s sad and dangerous to see them divided. There is a great fear that Lebanon will be lost because of that. Nevertheless, I see other sects have started joining the Lebanese Project and defending it, while some Christians are still “3am ysaffo 7asabaton!”. The moment that Christians unite under the Lebanese flag this whole crisis will end.
