I keep hearing stories from friends who got involved in a fight on the road when some car cut them off or bumped into them etc ..
Stories about thugs who go down and start cursing and yelling and even get physical even though its their mistake ..

Well this time, it happened with me ..

What Happened ?
A car cuts me off on the RIGHT lane, so i step on the gas and get back on my lane. The driver freaks out, gets passed me from the left and starts cutting me off left and right, i decide to play his game for a bit then i speed and go on his left, he tries to cut me off thinking i will brake, but i dont, i hit his mirror and break it.

Next thing you know, he parks the car on the sideway, goes down hold a big rock and runs towards me ..
I decided to stay still and see what he is gonna do, he comes and tries to hit me with it, i stay in the car and push him away and ask him to calm down, but he keeps yelling and cursing then hits my mirror with the rock and flees ..

I had a friend with me, we could have easily beaten the crap out of him ..

Imagine he had a gun instead of the rock ..
Imagine he had a hand grenade instead of the rock ..
Imagine i was a thug like him and had my own gun or bat ..

Such incidents occur on a daily basis, and most of the time end up badly for one side or both …
Such behaviors are unacceptable yet are very dangerously common among the Lebanese, and its getting worse since everyone is buying guns now ..

I have his name and his address and his home phone, i could get him into jail for a couple of days and make his life a living misery but what for ?

What will i achieve ? I believe it was wrong to even think of reacting to his reckless driving in the first place .. because thugs should be dealt with in a thugish way, and thats a level i am not ready to go down to ..

A big proportion of the Civil war victims was due to such incidents, and i believe the biggest problem we Lebanese have is that we dont know how to talk to each other .. and we think that we get tougher by the number of weapons we have or money or muscles ..

The fact is that we are still not using our brains, but rather our arses ..

These are the daily small signs, that we are on the best way to a lawless state. After so many wars and the daily violence actions, it is astonishing that people still have a functioning brain. the violence is contagious.

If had a gun I would had shot him. Actually, years ago, because of such incident and even worse than those (when you’re walking with a girl friend of yours and kamshit ba2ar bimirro 7adak), that a man in Lebanon should have a semi automatic gun in his jacket just to kill thugs like those.

  • 6. Ali1559 | March 13th, 2008 at 4:15 am

    N10452

Why did yo play his game from place one ? You gotta be carefull dude , some guys out there are mentally ill and dont know how to control their behavior. Hey,you should consider yourself lucky that you’re still breathing.

When I was on trip to lebanon(last month) one of the many things I learned was patients. I learned this through many examples. For instance, one day when I was there I approached an army checkpoint and all of the sudden the army officer star yelling at me asking to step down right away. I ended up being interrogated and question for almost 20 minutes. And the sad part was letting me go cuz I AM AN AMERICAN ??!!!! I heard the captain saying : TRIKO AMARKENE MA BADNA WAJA3 RASS YA GHASSAN. This was pathetic. I left driving my car back home, and on the way there another car was flying behind me (going at least 85 mph), i decided not to move cuzi was also driving like 60 mph ( the speed limit). The two drivers got pissed off and start giving me the middle finger asking me to pull on the side…….. It is what it is N, You gotta live with it , take it or leave it. One last advice , next time keep your gun on you. I always do eventhough im a 6′ 3” , 210 pound. L zo3ran katar N , ya3ne law inta hon bi amerca kinet t2wasset ya sa7be.

    Take care….

Ali1559, what if it was Nasrallah, he shouts and throws rocks at Israel and then runs to hide underground? Kifne ma3ak bro?

  • 10. Fad14 | March 13th, 2008 at 6:59 am

hitting and running is a typical hizbulla tactic, I agree with Kezballah that it must have been at least some official from the coalition of Sarameh (aka March 8).

  • 11. Ali1559 | March 13th, 2008 at 7:28 am

    Kezballah

Underground? You meant hizaret al dife3? MOU? Kifne ma3k ya mal3me inta ?

  • 12. Michele | March 13th, 2008 at 7:41 am

Seriously N, what were u thinking???!!!!!!
U should have ignored him from the 1st place!!!!!!

How come u know his name and have all his contacts?

  • 13. kezballah | March 13th, 2008 at 8:02 am

Ali1559, newsflash my man, the ones in Wizara are out and visiting the White House, now it’s Nasrallah underground.

PS: Please remember this childish argument was started by Jamil #4.

  • 14. kezballah | March 13th, 2008 at 8:04 am

Michele I agree with you: the question is how to deal with thugs, the answer is ignore them. In the civilized countries you can call the police, in Lebanon the police are also thugs so ignore them all!

  • 17. Arze | March 13th, 2008 at 12:17 pm

    Wise Choice N 10452 !

The wisest thing to do with thugs is to IGNORE them !

you shouldnt have played his game from the 1st place ….but you did great by ignoring him on the 2nd phase of the story !

we need more people like you N in this country and less people like Tarek …
Unfortunely in Lebanon we have more people like tarek then Like N , because People like N are mostly out of the country

Actually People who talk alot like tarek are usually pussies , they face there fear by pretending they can do that and that !

the best Protection one can have is by ignoring those idiots . The mere second you have a gun ,you become exposed to the danger …Even if he had a gun and pointed at u , he will not shoot …but as soon as you also point a gun at him , the shooting starts , and the bloodbath occurs !

One thing is sure ! gun do not protect you but expose you to more danger !

If you hold a Gun, then shoot, no need to warn, Fida El Sayed,

  • 20. Johnny.B | March 13th, 2008 at 2:12 pm

    off the subject,

I’ve been reading all newspapers and websites, and read about michel l-murrs mo2tamar, and noticed that the tayyar and all of 8 march didn’t mention as if it did not happen or as if this didnt take place … and this is to prove the kind of brainwashing that the tayyar and 8 march people are getting affected by … they feed them only what they have to know … no one they are becoming stuborn and stupid like arze …

  • 21. kezballah | March 13th, 2008 at 2:51 pm

Arze finally something I agree with you on :)

    Ya3ne 3an jad ma ahbalak

Kbar shway rah tdallak walad w ahbal???

Our friend wassim here said and i quote “7OULAFE2KON L KLEBBBB L SENIYE KIF 3AM BISEBO L MASI7IYE WEL SALIB” telling that there is a facebook group where the Sunnis are cursing the christians and their Cross.
I entered by curiosity to see what’s about, and I realize that the group is a Aounists group titled “ra2btak ya saad btenkessir w iradetna ma btenkessir”, and below in the discussions board, one guy of the Itani family was discussing with a Aounist girl and they were cursing each others, and that’s it.

First of all ya mr. wassim, in ur reply here you have cursed the sunnis, and you were not any better than that guy Itani, who also said salibo la Aoun (I personally think that Aoun has nothing to do with Christians).

Second he also cursed nasrallah and berri and all the 8th of March, and i think he was pushed to do that, since the girl was not any better also in cursing and using bad words.

Third, I don’t think one person represents a whole religion or sect, and we all know that we all lose our temper sometimes and we use bad words that we regret them later.

But wassim is so influenced by the tayyar people so he’s using the same propaganda to deliver a wrong message.
