The head of the Support of Lebanese in Detention and Exile Organization in Lebanon (SOLIDE) Ghazi Aad called for the formation of a new committee to follow up the detainees’ issue inline with international standards.
“Since 2005, the (current) Lebanese-Syrian committee has failed to reach solutions,” Aad commented in a press conference held at Gebran Khalil Gebran Square, Downtown-Beirut

“Syria has badly dealt with Lebanese issues in general and with the detainees issue in particular. Its continuous denial resulted in catastrophic mistakes,” he added.

Aad expressed his “disappointment with Syria’s attempt to come out after 30 years as the victim, while it was the party which illegally arrested Lebanese citizens and hided their destinies and whereabouts.”

Responding to what Syrian Foreign Minister Walid Mouallem had declared, Aad commented, “We have never linked between missing persons and the detainees in Syria”.

Ghazi Aad is right and his fear is so legitimate.
The Syrians won’t do anything good, and they will keep on playing the best game they know, wasting time and more time until people get desperate.

    Fouad,
Don’t worry, they will want to leave the prison as son as they are allowed to. Who tld you they are happy there???? are they living in a palace with many people serving them?? At least show some sympathy with the detainees, they are our brothers and sisters, our compatriots.

Those who were against us when we were accusing Syria, telling us that we should stop attacking the Syrians in our statements, and in return they will show us goodwill.
For those people, many of them are commenting here, I say Syria will not show us goodwill neither good action, they will never give us anythng good no matter what we do, so I call to attack them everyday and every second, to keep on remembering the whole world what they did and still are doing to us, how much they hurt us and still.

Maybe we need waraket tafehoum to free the prisoners…il zaher waraket el tafehoum saret a la mode hal iyyem.

    Good night everyone
    Talk to you tomorrow Inshalla

why would the syrians wanna keep those prisoners thats my question

  • 5. Mickel | August 18th, 2008 at 12:08 am

Delta because they’ve been saying that they don’t have Lebanese prisoners. So if they let them out now, it will be like admitting that they lied.

Plus they want them to suffer because they believed and faught for an independent Lebanon.

  • 6. Mickel | August 18th, 2008 at 12:09 am

Has anyone seen what those Aouni thugs did to the LF in Keserwen?

    And they call us zo3ran!

  • 7. Mickel | August 18th, 2008 at 12:10 am

  • 8. Delta | August 18th, 2008 at 2:08 am

every single lebanese knows what a syrian this woman is no wonder nowadays she feel closer to the Aounist ,she never felt like doing a song for the lebanese detainees in syria but for hizbullah sure they get a sng and a kiss too so i dont say something else mala balad i hope every single aiounist is proud of his ass these days shame on you guys shame bil 3arabe ya 3ayb il choum.

  • 9. Delta | August 18th, 2008 at 2:15 am

Stallion yes we did i know its hard to accept that fact but we did and we will always do.

Mickel i dont buy that story that the aounist have done that to the lf office it takes guts to do something like that i think its a third party

  • 10. Delta | August 18th, 2008 at 2:22 am

Mickel the sad thing is that the tayyar web site did not it deny it tomorow they ll burn one of theirs and score points

  • 11. Stallion | August 18th, 2008 at 2:37 am

delta u did and u will always do …. just bel haki inside lebanon to try take a few votes in the 2009 elections. it shows how desperate ur situation is.

tayyar ppl are not ze3ran to do such things. there is a possibility that the real ze3ran (ewet) did it in order to gain sympathy and again… try win a few votes in 2009 elections because hariri and jombi won’t be able to help them this time by letting them win by the sunni votes. neshkor alla now we have a better electoral law for the christians so they now can elect whoever they want and not whoever hariri and jombi want. we should all thank GMA for this achievement that will benefit ALL christians.

  • 12. bsm | August 18th, 2008 at 3:43 am

yes, we all should thank aoun for all he has done to Lebanon and the Lebanese christians. Especailly for the things he did that got us here. For letting a iran and syria back into Lebanon for his personal gain. For signing with the party of the devil and encourage them to start the war with Isreal that set us back 10 years. And you know what, more is to come. time will show and prove how one mad man contribute to more suffering for Lebanon and its people. thank you.

  • 13. Stallion | August 18th, 2008 at 4:54 am

u are the last ones to talk about lebanese and christian ppl sufferings because u made it happen. if it wasn’t for ur hakim’s hunger to rule the christian parts of lebanon we wouldn’t have ended up here . so for the above mentioned results u should blame ur hakim and not aoun.
isn’t it why most christians hate ur hakim and follow aoun? if it was the other way around then i would have agreed with u that aoun is bad. but since the majority hate ur hakim and follow aoun then it must be true that ur hakim is the criminal and not aoun.

  • 14. Mickel | August 18th, 2008 at 5:30 am

Delta you’re right, they probably called the Hezbollah thugs to come do it.

    Mule
we should also thank the people who paid Aoun so he can accept what he was offered.

The only reason Aoun got the majority of the votes in 05 was because he stood against Hezbollah and against Syria etc…
But now things are different and we saw his true colors.

The next elections will show who’s in charge.

  • 15. Stallion | August 18th, 2008 at 6:04 am

ok N u can remove my comment as well.

  • 16. kezballah | August 18th, 2008 at 6:55 am

Stallion Ya fa7el you go from comedy to tragedy in the same topic, comedy that it was LF that attack the patriarch in 1990 :-) tragedy is that you are so wi2e7 that you come on the LF blog and attack everything about LF and insult the LF bloggers and bitkabir ras, I think you have some psycological problems you need to be near us to get your frustration in life out of you. I think you should move to Texas or Arizona and find a female Stallion in the prairie ;-)

    Shou hal wa2e7a wlo..

  • 17. kezballah | August 18th, 2008 at 7:00 am

I like to have people on the blog who are not LF so we can have discussion and argue and some Tizrik is fun ;-) but I think they should behave like the guest in your home not like the Kezbollah invaders of Beirut. Fi kam wa7ad hon ma ba3rif shu badun, khidu ribe3 wou fri2una ya 3amme..

  • 18. Michele | August 18th, 2008 at 7:23 am

    N, i’m glad u haven’t deleted Stallion’s comment #16, as a proof that the Aounis r truly thugs n low class!

توقيع ورقة تفاهم بين حزب الله والتيار السلفي في لبنان

So Aoun has a MoU with Hezbollah, and Hezbollah has a MoU with the Salifsts.

    AOUN ==> Hezbollah ==> Salafists

So by the Transitive Property of Equality (NERD :D ), Aoun has a MoU with the Salafists!!

  • 22. Rodge | August 18th, 2008 at 10:07 am

    Allah Yistour
This is the result of MoUs
MoU used to be Memorandum of Understanding
Hizb and Co. turned it to Misery of Unity

  • 23. Mickel | August 18th, 2008 at 10:16 am

    Alla yostour 5ayye Rodge.

I guess all heck is going to break loose and we’re going to have to hold our own again.

  • 24. N10452 | August 18th, 2008 at 10:54 am

    N, i prefer a SOI :-)

  • 26. Rodge | August 18th, 2008 at 11:54 am

So now Hizb and Salafiyyin have inked the MoU.

I wonder what will be the opinion of the Aounists and Hizbists in Salafiyyin now, do they still think they are attached to Future and Saudi Arabia, or they become peaceful now??

Anyway, it seems there is a division between the Salafiyyin.
    What’s next?
I think Hizb is trying to divide the Sunnis, the same as they did to Christians.

  • 27. paul | August 18th, 2008 at 12:46 pm
