Thank you Mr.Mehlis for shutting Jamil el Sayyid’s mouth once and for all.
This came in part of his last interview concerning the tribunal and Lebanon in general hosted by May Chidiac on LBC.
Mehlis insisted that the detainment of the four former security chiefs is legal.
“As an observer, I think their detainment is fully legal,” he said.
Surete Generale’s Jamil al-Sayyed, Ali al-Hajj of the Internal Security Forces, Raymond Azar of the Army Intelligence and Mustafa Hamdan of the Presidential Guards Brigade have been detained since August 2005 for alleged involvement in Hariri’s killing.
“We had indications that they were planning to leave the country and most importantly we had indications of their strong involvement in the murder,” Mehlis told Chidiac, adding that he had never seen “an official U.N. recommendation to release the suspects.”

I bet you wore the “I love Mehlis” t-shirt back then. I bet you even started a Mehlis Fan Club. Silly and naive.

detainment of terrorists that took part in the dinniyeh events is illegal
detainment of a killer/warlord (bachir’s personal hitman) is illegal
but detainment of 4 officers on a probability that they took part in the killing of some corrupt politician isn’t illegal?

Libanon, obviously they have strong evidence against them, and its not the kind of fabricated evidence that the syrians plant all the time…Tis is real

Every truth passes through three stages before it is recognized. In the first it is ridiculed, in the second it is opposed, in the third it is regarded as self evident.
Arthur Schopenhauer (1788-1860) German philosopher.
i think this proverb fit exactly the situation .

Who cares whether they are innocent or not,how many innocent they have arrested?
they should understand what it means indifference.

You actually rely on the evidence our goverment comes up with?
Who is it who fabricates evidence?
What about pierre gemayel’s investigation? When they found out that one of his guards who was with him at the time was involved they stopped it all.
How is it that when someone who could be a witness to a crime done by pro goverment forces we find that he hangs himself in prison?(like the shooting at mp mi7bas el2a7dab’s house)
Where did the investigation of fat7 el2islem go to?Why didn’t we see a single weapon they used against the army so we could know where it was manufactured?
Lebanese people have a bad habit of glorifying everyone after their deaths. I mean who really cares who killed him? He stole the country dry and built 7 palaces for himself and his family (not including the one he built for his master assad) using the money he stole.
He turned beirut into a sunni capital. He brought the syrians into lebanon in 1989 by making the taef so they could make him prime minister of their puppet goverment ,and don’t tell me he wasn’t with the syrian presence(do you think the syrians would have appointed him PM all these years if he was’nt 100% with them?).And how can you foget the 40 billion dollars debt(it won’t ever forget you), which turned him from poor farmer to 7th richest man in the world.
I’m sure if berri gets killed now you will start talking about how he built lebanon, and about how they killed him but they could not kill his dream of lebanon.
If those four officers really did have something to do with it, they sould be thanked and given medals.

And I forgot to say .Lebanese people have a bad habit they can not distinguish between perpetrator and victim,or who destroyed or built lebanon.

I think the four officers should be executed immediately for their part in the Syrian occupation. However, we should keep them alive just for the purpose of investigation. For me, a lot of people should be executed, all currents supporters of the Syrian - Iranian occupation.
