Lets have lunch in DT
Posted by N10452
Merhi Abou Merhi is inviting everyone to lunch today in DT, in an attempt to revive the Down Town. He stated his aims are social and not political.
I thought this movement was a bit more serious than that, it is good to have people organize such events, but honestly i think this is a waste of time and simply a mediatic exposure for this businessman, unless this is only the start and he is waiting for solutions to be revealed to get into the political game ..
Next step, he’s taking everyone on a cruise half price ?

I believe this is a good gesture.
Let’s revive DT even with the carnival still being there

This is a great gesture, making fun of it in typical Lebanese fashion is not very constructive, I guess the point is to ignore all the protesters and try to have a normal life. As to seriousness, if the movement called for a mouzahara than they would be more serious? I mean w have had tons of those and look how beneficial they have been, all we need is one more.I think such a movement is needed, but will not work because of the Lebanese diseased mentality. And probably you are right, the dude is just using this to launch a political career, like good intentioned lebanese havent been duped like this before.
