Actually people from a source I am absol;utely sure of, it was Elias el Murr that got pissed at Sleiman-the army not doing its job properly-and told him to call in sick that day. Either that or Sleiman's resignation!!!

go to lebanese army website lebarmy.gov.lb

Kirass tawjihi

Introduction

Chapter One:

1.8- Supporting the Lebanese Resistance

The international agreements and the universal declarations rights give all peoples the right to resist occupation and aggression and to defend themselves using all means that enables them for survival. Under this umbrella, the Lebanese Resistance against the Israeli occupation of Lebanese territories is a legal right which ends up only with withdrawal of occupation. This Resistance, which has been supported by the government, the army, and the civilians, has led to the defeat of the enemy on Lebanon's land. But the enemy is still to be located in Shebaa Farms, in places of great strategic and economic significance. Therefore, the Lebanese have the right to fight the enemy until it withdraws.

Comment: So you can imagine what we finance everytime we pay our Jeish salaries! This is what they teach them to beleive? I am shocked. Is Syria include? No. Sleiman wake up we are not ignorants.

I agree with Shlomo , There is something fishy about the way army delt with the protestors last tuesday. Many people said that he is preparing himself for presidency .The army shouldnt be part of 8th march .

just when you look how the Lebanese Army delt with the protestors last tuesday you will remember what happened in 1975 and how the army let people kills each others whilethey are watching or giving paletiniens their arms .

Im wondering if any other countries same thing happened what will be the reaction of their army .

The presence of army should enforce the law not the opposite.

There is something fishy about how the army has dealt with the demonstrations.
Too bad the lebanese people still don't fully trust the army. This organization has cost us billions of dollars, and still we cant fully rely on it.
We all want the lebanese army to have full control all over Lebanon, and we are ready to support them, but restructuring and reformation should be done in this organization which should be the shield of the country.
