Frem F1

It is always nice to see Lebanese come up with inventions or take initiatives in many fields, and it was nice hearing about this young Lebanese student building his own car and the first Lebanese car.

However, one should be realistic and pragmatic in his approach, and i was dissapointed when i saw the outcome of the presumably first Lebanese super car ever built.

You wanna build a car, you cant decide to imitate Ferrari Enzo firstly, you should start with a normal , car and then improve, specially when you are on a low budget ..

Frem F1 car is powerede by Volkswagen-sourced 2.0-liter and reach up to 124 mph, the interior is very cheap to say the least and the whole car design is honestly ugly.

Autoblog posted about it and pretty much hammered its creator !

Nonetheless, we can only show support to this young Lebanese.

The windshield wiper ruins the facade of the car. It should have been hidden or something.

Plus he’s Lebanese, so what do you expect other than an immitation of something that’s already been made.

The whole thing looks kinda like the Batmobile.

Well the inside is just terrible. I think he could have done much better but still good effort in the end.

i’m really happy to see this and i just wish him the best for his future..

    cheers.

Marcel Ghanem did a show about Frem and a Professor from AUB who built a Solar Power car with his students.

The AUB guy is more realistic than Frem because he understands he is not building a car, he is modifying the energy source and this is something that hundreds of universities in the world have done already, the professor is teaching his students how to use new technology and they will try to compete in a race in Australia next year with many other Solar cars. Frem is more young and ambitious he doesn’t see himself as only a designer of a car body like thousands of other designers, he said his dream is to make a car company in Lebanon that will beat Ferrari, I admire his confidence and I hope he will succeed but it is not easy for Lebanon because you need a lot of $$$ and government + industry support.

I think they are both doing something very positive and I hope they succeed. If the crazy animals in Lebanon let us build a government maybe we can compete with Israel in positive ways but people like Nasrallah prefer that we kill ourself in fighting and destroy our country…

Did anyone see seat belts in this car? “Power first - Safety last”. Anyway good job for the beginning and even the Japanese did copies in the their early car-history. And guys, only with a sport car you receive attention and not with a family car ;-) greet from car-country Deutschland

Some negative feed backs just to wonder from the negative feed backs can u people acomplish what he acomplished can u people make a better car only with ure hands.

if u guys see the porshe ferrari lamgorghini sports cars..

Keep in mind its about more then 20 people makin the car.

Keep in mind hes using the cheapest equipment for that car .

Tony from me I only said I support Frem and other efforts like him, I did not give negative feed backs only a warning that this is not easy and I wish him luck. It is important to dream so I am with Frem’s big dreams, but it is also important to keep your feet on the ground so we have to know our limitation. No disrespect from me.

Oh dear God, I hope I hope I hope that no foreigner reads this post, only us the ignorant Lebanese people, it’s soo lame and pathetic that you guys are calling this guy an INVENTER. Someone who bought an engine, bolted it to a chasse, covered it with some ugly metal sheets and wired some switches is not an INVENTER, an illiterate red neck in the US will build you a car on a Sunday morning for a hotdog, a pack of cigarettes and 6 beers and will probably look and function much better than this piece of stuff.
Please don’t bring it to the auto show, and for the sake of all the prophets don’t talk about competing with the Italians …it’s a pure embarrassment.
