DAMASCUS, Syria (AP) — An explosion late Tuesday in a residential neighborhood in Syria’s capital killed at least one person, destroyed a parked car and shattered windows in nearby buildings, witnesses and a news report said.
The cause of the explosion, which occurred about 10:45 p.m. in the upscale Kafar Soussa area, was not immediately known. Security forces sealed off the area and removed the destroyed car.
It was Imad Mughniyyeh who was targetted apparently.
For those who are not aware of who this man is, he is one of the most wanted terrorists on FBI’s list.
Here is a small resume of him ( from wiki):
Imad Fayez Mugniyah (also spelt Moughnieh) (Arabic: عماد فايز مغنية; born December 7, 1962 Eliminated Feb 12, 2008 ) was a senior member of the Hezbollah militant organization. He is alternatively described as the head of its security section, a senior intelligence official and as a founder of the organization. Sometimes described as a “master terrorist”,[1] Mugniyah has been implicated in the 1983 bombings of the U.S. Embassy, and U.S. Marine and French peacekeeping barracks, which killed over 350, as well as the 1992 bombings of the Israeli embassy in Buenos Aires and the kidnapping of dozens of foreigners in Lebanon in the 1980s.
Limited information is known about him. He uses the alias of Hajj. Mugniyah is included in the European Union’s list of wanted terrorists.

1) How can we be sure he is really dead? This man is wanted so this can be a coverup to stop hunting him. Are we supposed to believe Syria and Hezb/Kezb now?
2) Hezbollah accused Israel immediately, why don’t they wait for the investigation like they always say!!??
If he is really dead then may he burn in hell for eternity.

It was time to get rid of thei murderer, and i think this represents good news, mainly because lately they were expecting him to come and run the operations in Lebanon. He’s a criminal and I only see that justice was done, regardless who did it, whether the Israelis, the Iranians, the Syrians, or maybe someone from the inner circle of Nasrallah just to get rid of him.
But I also share the idea of Kezballah, that it could be a coverup in order to give him more space to work in the future. Who knows??

On second thought, it could be a deal between US, Israel, Syria, Iran and with a Kuwaiti money to get rid of him, but with a return for each of these parties.
Israel and US got their revenge for the Marines headquarter and embassy and other operations, and also get rid of a very dangerous man.
Kuwait got their revenge for the “Jabiriyah” plan highjacking and killing.
the question remains about the benefit of both Syria and Iran, or let me say the price they got. I’m afraid it could be something in Lebanon. Let’s hope not.
But again it’s only an analysis.

Here’s my theory:
Syria recognized that the International Tribunal is coming and it wants to eliminate any one who can connect the assassination of Harirri to the Asad clan (Bashar, Maher and Asef). To the Asad clan everyone else is dispensable!
I think that Mughenieh was one of the planner of the Harirri assassination and that’s why he was eliminated.
When the Tribunal starts its questioning, all fingers points to Mughanieh and the Asad clan is saved!!!
By the way, don’t be surprised that Roustum Ghazaleh commits suicide by 2 shots to his head.

Two questions: How are the authorities certain that it was Imad Fayez Mugniyah who was killed? If they are not certain at this time, will the U.S. investigate to be sure that the person killed is definitely Imad Fayez Mugniyah?
Considering that he’s one of the most wanted terrorists in the world, I am surprised that the articles I’ve read have yet to state with certainty that the man killed is definitely Imad Fayez Mugniyah.
