Must be those fanatic Wahabis… oh wait… what? Wahab? Not Wahabi? Ok Ok.

  • 6. Jester | September 11th, 2008 at 12:03 am

    hmmm…
I hear the epitome example of ‘the flip-flopper’ Jumblat, is playing along on good terms with Hezbollah, (not in favor of Israel) . Why would Hezbollah who easily has support in his areas to disrupt his own growth with such a bomb.

It is out of his reach. There is TWO Months for the Bush Administration to ride his rodeo, then it’s hopefully peace.

I say, let’s all gather as Lebanese, a road trip to the south specifically in Shebaa fields, a get together with drums and lights ( turn it into a rave if be it) singing, § all we are saying… is give peace a chance’… I’d love to see how Fox would spin this the next day on TV.

An area where Syria, Israel and our beloved, tiny Lebanon, is shouting out to the world for us to get out of this Arab-Israeli game.

Jester… FOX News is the best English news channel. Are you really Christian, man? All Christians in America, whether LF or FPM, watch FOX… sure they support Israel against Hezbollah… BUT SO DO WE. And I swear I hope in the next round Israel destroys Hezbollah’s military capabilities.

  • 9. Patrick | September 11th, 2008 at 3:35 am

Also, I hope the bomb against the Druze will cause all Druze to oppose Hezbollah’s weapons en totale, not just demand that they be incorporated into a defense strategy… the weapons need to be REMOVED from the hands of Hezbollah COMPLETELY.

  • 10. Rima | September 11th, 2008 at 3:42 am

It is a message warning Arslan that it is not easy to break the alliance with Syria and HA…I think Wahab orchestrated the attack with a cover up from HA…That is a meesage to all 8th March allies…
We all know that during the Attack on the JAbal, Arslan’s supporters sided by their own people…I wish we Christians are like the Druzes

  • 11. M.N. | September 11th, 2008 at 9:32 am

Rima ur analysis is right.. it’s a message for erslan especially he’ll be on the same “list” with PSP in the elections.
but i don’t think that this shitbag wahhab is able to do such thing. someone bigger than him planned it.

  • 12. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 10:16 am

Patrick … you can always hope .. but believe me the next round you will bring you to life your worth nightmares.. just wait and see :)
Rima .. do you really watch or read the news … or just propagandas? you guys are tipical.. have you heard about the exploded truck carrying fire works? Am sure you will deduct that it is HA to ban lebanese from having fun.. You are so .. hmm .. i will use the word simple…
    regards

  • 14. Fuziyad | September 11th, 2008 at 10:44 am

Kifo sam?? who do you think is behind this assasination?? seriously…

  • 15. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 10:52 am

    Paul khaye … is 1+1 = 2 ?

  • 16. paul | September 11th, 2008 at 11:03 am

ok sam in theory, the practice is different.

  • 17. kezballah | September 11th, 2008 at 11:04 am

Patrick I am pro LF but I don’t support Israel against Hezbollah, I think they are all terrorists with Syria and Iran and I want to get rid of all of them, either we arm ourself like in 1975 or the international community have to help Lebanon, but this March 14 strategy is not good for us on the long term because we are leaving the country with disgust.

Don’t think Israel will clean Lebanon from Hezbollah for us, Israel will never help Lebanon to become better they love Hezbollah and Hamas so they can keep their army strong and getting billions from USA and destroying their neighbors.

  • 18. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 11:06 am

ok Paul .. to get 2 dianmonds will cost you much more then getting 2 apples.. the price is very high.. but the result is clear..

  • 19. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 11:08 am

Kezeb .. i do respect and agree with some of what you are saying.. regarding the love issue.. “mina al hob ma katal

  • 20. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 11:11 am

“wallah khaye Fuziad.. when i heard about the helicopter accident i was driving the car in the south.. as soon as i heard about the location in sojod .. i said to my self.. ouff… al shabab have hit it by mistake…
but regarding this assassination… it is not clear for me yet.. too many players.. give it time to see the real files the guye was following ;) sah?

  • 21. paul | September 11th, 2008 at 11:25 am

until now,we have lost more diamonds than apples.

  • 22. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 11:27 am

the diamand is so bright it is making you blind from seeing it …

  • 23. paul | September 11th, 2008 at 11:33 am

der Apfel war immer der symbol der Sünde denk an Adam und Eva

  • 24. paul | September 11th, 2008 at 11:34 am

sorry …again…remember Adam and Eve…The apple has always been the symbol of sin

  • 25. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 11:39 am

it seems some so called lebanese are trying to use what they think it is the easiest way out .. even if it is the apple …
“”sure they support Israel against Hezbollah… BUT SO DO WE. And I swear I hope in the next round Israel destroys Hezbollah’s military capabilities.”"
but the diamand is purer, harder and brighter then any apple

  • 26. paul | September 11th, 2008 at 11:45 am

i swear i dont want that israel destoy HA all what i want is peace with all neighbors.

Sam i give 100 Kgs apple ,you gice me 1kg.diamonds :-)

  • 27. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 11:52 am

    3ala rassee khaye Paul :)

  • 28. kezballah | September 11th, 2008 at 11:59 am

sam if all HA supporters are polite and civilized like you then we have no problem we will merge LF and HA :) Like paul said I just want to live in peace we don’t want more weapons and fighting.

HA should give their weapons to the army, if Israel attack again and the army doesn’t do a good job to defend then we start the resistance again where is the problem? I think the problem is that HA leaders like their job and they don’t want to go back to normal citizens anymore.

  • 29. Fuziyad | September 11th, 2008 at 12:24 pm

Sam, agreed that there is something still grey in that killing but the main suspect is the same as usual….akid al chakika…your boys and arslan himself will say israil but do you believe it really can be israiiiiiiillllllll??do they know who mr aridi was? can they kill that easily in lebanon? why don’t they kill a hezbo then??anyway…

Now one thing am wondering about is where does HA stand in this assasination…I personnaly believe that for most previous assasinations inlcuding Hariri’s, HA was executing often for account of the syrians and sometimes for its own interests. Things have been getting more obscure lately for simple minded people like me…are HA and syria still as good friends as before? why does WJ now praise god’s militia and keeps insulting syria? why is the west opening so much to syria? what did the assad family promise? ect…

So basically samuel, I wanna have yr opinion on the HA/Syria actual relationships and alliance and disalliances resulting from it on the lebanese scene. May be useful in my analysis in who killed that guy, syria? HA? or both together as in the good old days??

  • 30. Rima | September 11th, 2008 at 12:58 pm

    Kizballah

    Regarding the politeness of Sam,
let me tell u hal beit el Che2er: Iza ra2ayta nouyouba al laythi zahiratan la tazounana ana al laytha yabtassimou.

  • 31. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 1:06 pm

you know fuziad.. aridi was responsible for Alaiye in al hizb al dimocrati.. you may know that al ishtiraki had a big number of casualties in Alaiye during the last fight; the death tole among his members exceeded 60 death in alaye and the 888 hill which were taken by al mo3arada.. for many druze .. they dont forget.. this is one suspect..

wahabe is another suspect as every body here is saying..

the salfist may do it for many reasons…As they did 3ein alak explosion

moreover, this guye is also in charge of coordinating with jumblat and ishtiraki, if you look at the shift W.J is doing lately you will see that the guye was successful in getting him closer to HA .. several parties are not happy.. from both sides ..

reagrding Syria, i think arslan is one of the v. close friends to Syria.. and they helped him to get the biggest reward after the last fight..they have made him back a big za3im in al jabal in addition to making him a minister which means a lot to him.. why would they spoil such a relation ship and kill his right hand man.. i dont really see logic in that..

finaly the story of HA and the previous assassinations.. i believe HA will be the biggest looser in case of a civil war ( am talking about political parties.. the normal people will be the bigger losers of course ).. the situation in lebanon was much better for the HA when harriri was alive then after that.. that is in addition to the fact that there was a very strong relationship building up between harriri and nassrallah.. the base of your accusations for the previous assassinations are absurd to me .. honestly..
    best regards

  • 32. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 1:09 pm

Rima.. I prefair to use this sentence: “rohamae fi ma baynahoum Achoudae 3ala al a3dae.. “and honestly i dont see you my enemy …
and as another arabic male i liked the laythi issue .. :)

  • 33. Fuziyad | September 11th, 2008 at 1:36 pm

Sam, forget about wahhab, who planted the bomb is a detail and it is indeed most probably one of these guys, what we need to know is where the green light comes from?? HA or Syria or both?

The inter derzi thing could make sense but the work seems too professionnal…

Of course you can forget any of m14 suspects cuz if m14 had the capacity or will to kill anyone, keno farjo 3adaleton abel….you forgot 7th may?? HA invading beyrouth balla darbet kaf(almost). What happenned then made clear that the lies about miltiet el solta and all that crap were only pure lies and propaganda and that m14 had at best some supporters with sticks and stones…

Syria can be behind especially if you put things in their context. The big love story between syria and HA is almost over and there is all kind of crazy bets on what will happen to the syrian/iranian alliance and what will the effect be on lebanon…W.Jumblatt view and bet on this situation seems quite obvious to me. He thinks the deal between syria and israel will happen and the west will give its benediction to a renewed syrian control on lebanon. His bet is that if things go that way he’s better of siding with HA/Iran and other left overs of the moumana3a boys this is why he’s trying to hook up with wafic safa (heard wafic is more interested in nora tough…). Arslan might be part of this circus and souria el assad just sending him a letter and playing its first card to cause trouble in the mountains after the recent failure in the north…

If the division really exists then we could also imagine that arslan is trying to reconciliate jumblatt and syria despite HA objection, HA doesn’t like it and just sent their letter of protest to arslan…

Now the most probable scenario is that syria and HA are still friends, at least on the lebanon file as both objective is to annihilate it, they don’t like the rapprochment between arslan and jumblatt and they are sending their message…

  • 34. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 1:44 pm

dear kezb… am sure each side contain his moderate people and his extreme people…

sadly, both sides base lot of their knowledge on rumors and ignorance more then reality .. ( you know the old policy which was used since long time .. “”farek tassoud”" ie seperate to dominate , it is still used against us) and that is the main reason for existing hate among both parties…

and belive me i dont have any doupt that you want to live in peace the same way i do…

hopefully these political leaders can sit togather and put strong bases for a real country.. then am sure HA arm issue will be automatically soved…

    best regards

  • 35. paul | September 11th, 2008 at 1:45 pm

    sam salemit rasak
    kezballah 100%

  • 36. Rasheed | September 11th, 2008 at 1:49 pm

Sam #31 is typical HA apologetic for Syria. Wake up and look around you: do you seriously believe that the Syrians will not kill an Arslani just because Talal will be upset?! They killed Moghnieh without blinking, for crying out loud!

And this brouhaha about Jabal: It is established now that the Arslanis fought side by side with the Jumblatis in Choueifat and Aley. That may explain why Aridi was murdered, no?

  • 37. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 1:59 pm

you know Fuziad , the bomb used for assacination was among the simplest to use … it was a 500 g stuck under the driver seat .. parties in lebanon have been using this tactics since 1975..believe me it does not need such a level of proffesionalism..

regarding militiat al solta.. what turned out to be was that it was stupid to think that if you send someone for a few days training on machine guns in jordan he will be able to stand against the forces of a so called army who have been training and fighting israel since 25 years.. and if you have friends in the army ask them about the few hundreds of people they were given to them by HA to be driven back to the north

regarding syria.. i think they are at there best now.. the big storm seemed to have passed for them.. i think they are too clever to put down there cards now.. they will still wait.. trust me there is plenty more to gain for them.. and they have gained a lot till now due to there allience with HA and iran…why the hurry?

anyway .. i tell you it is grey…allah yestor..

  • 40. Rasheed | September 11th, 2008 at 2:20 pm

Again #37: I am sorry but your Al-Manar/Filka/Al-Akhbar drivel is a bit too much.

Few hundreds were arrested by HA and handed over to the Army? Where were they arrested? In what region? Why wasn’t this reported? This would have been a great opportunity for the media but we haven’t seen it/read it. What we *have* seen is a few miserable security guards being rounded up and driven away in one Army truck.

  • 41. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 2:32 pm

ya3ni rasheed what you want me to say.. you can believe what you want to believe…
my side of story is that there was a complete coordination with mokhabarat al jeech.. any way lebanon is a small country .. ask inside resources..

  • 42. kezballah | September 11th, 2008 at 2:36 pm

Rima, nice proverb, my nature is to trust people because I don’t have a bad intention but if later I find out the other person is hiding something bad then I will be a hard opponent. This is the same thing I am saying to Hezbollah, show good will and give your weapons and go back to normal life, if later you find the army is not protecting you then you can go back to resistance and we will join you, but if you insist to stay outside the law and make it exclusive Islamic resistance forever then you leave no choice we will oppose you by force, we can not live like second class citizen this country is for all of us equally.

  • 43. kezballah | September 11th, 2008 at 2:41 pm

Sam thank you my friend, I don’t have a reason to doubt your intention, I appreciate your words, we all belong to this country and if I am weak you will be weak, and if you are strong I will be strong but we have to share responsibility and reward.

  • 44. kezballah | September 11th, 2008 at 2:43 pm

Sam and Fuziyad nice analysis about the assassination thank you. I don’t think the Inter-Durzi is a possibility, the Druze are smarter than the Christian and Shia they don’t kill each others.

  • 45. Rima | September 11th, 2008 at 3:04 pm

I always thought about this syrio-iranian split…and I think it is hard to choose between two evils….
Let’s say Well if Syria turns against HA to show the West(as it did with Saddam) that it is against terrorism and if it succeeds in creating some sort of military confrontation between sunnis and shiaas or whoever…it might be able to come back to Lebanon. However, this scenario seems unrealistic because I am not sure the West is ready to give Syria prizes anymore…It is not that easy…

I tend to think that Iran, if appeased by the West, might in return minimizes its support to HA. In this case, HA might pragmatically be inclined to comply with the current political game in Lebanon.Still, it is not a final solution…I personally beleive that HA should have their own little Lebanon where they can establish wilayat el fakih and threaten Israel FOREVER…Too bad, in lebanon the wife is urged to stay with her husband regardless of his abusive and harsh behaviour.

  • 46. Rima | September 11th, 2008 at 3:14 pm

    Sam and Kizballah

People do not choose civil war or war in general for its own sake or just because they hate each other. They fight because their vital and national interets clash…For sure, Sam might be a very cool guy but his political party or his ideology caused thousands of Lebanese to flee the Country…If they continue in their offensive and salbatta politics and preaching to us that they love Lebanon…no one will stay in Lebanon…this divine strategy will allow them to trash the rest of the country and maybe clash with sunnis…Is that masslaheit Loubnan?

I am fed up with fawkiyet some people talking as if they know what is good for all of us and making us feel that we are a bunch of idiots…

  • 47. kezballah | September 11th, 2008 at 5:25 pm

Rima I agree with your #46 but I think that’s also what I was saying, I don’t hate Sam or anyone who behave in a civilized way with me, but we still have a problem with our different political lines, we have to solve the differences or we will clash, that is what I am saying. The solution is Hezbollah has to turn in the weapons, or we will be forced to arm and maybe divide the country if they want to keep their private army.

  • 48. sam | September 11th, 2008 at 5:57 pm

rima ..i know there is some good diferences…. and of course our stupid politicians and media played a good part in increasing and widening the gape to win few more votes … but do you really think you can divide lebanon? take a good look at the map…am curious to see how you will cut it .. 3anjad who will gets what.. ??

kabree 3akleik,, what we need to do is to throw these politicians in the sea and sit togather and solve these differences.. believe me we are not that different .. trust me with that..
    best regards
