ba3den go and disrespect khomeini on it .. chefle 2adde bitdayin .. unless u can insult anyone then its a disrespectful forum not a democratic one :-)

N sorry bro but I have to take off 1 democracy point for deleting my post ;-)

  • 11. N10452 | September 12th, 2008 at 4:24 pm

    Kezballah,
FYI using the word retarded or mentally challenged is a disrespect to people with this disease .. its not like saying stupid and its very inappropriate and i am sure you will understand :-)

So u should grant me an extra point for deleting this post ..

    Congratulations,

We should all support this guy Edward Maalouf, since he represents what Lebanon should be.
But on the other hand, we should ask whether he could have made this achievement if he is living in Lebanon and sponsored (of course not) by the Lebanese Government.

It becomes a habit to see Lebanese abroad making history, while the ones in Lebanon are busy with politics and daily concerns

N min 3ayni all the points for democracy on the blog I am the first to give you credit because you deserve it. I am for letting everyone say what they think unless they mean to be disrespectful with insults because that is not expressing an idea. I said congratulations to Edward and then I talked about Olympics for mentally disabled where Lebanese will win all gold medals. You are right that my comment can be considered politically incorrect, but in my view it is only disrespectful to disabled people if I mean it in a disrespectful way, which I think is clear that I didn’t mean it to offend someone with the disease, I am not using the term in the litteral sense. The disabled people I have been around don’t like to be treated in a special way or to make them feel different so I am not used to wearing gloves when I talk about it. But your point is also valid and I thank you for your correction,

  • 15. N10452 | September 12th, 2008 at 8:29 pm

    Kezballah,
I know you didnt mean it, but i d rather refrain from using those terms because you will surely be misunderstood :-)

    Kizballah and N

I am not sure what term Kizballah used regarding people with disability but I follow a list of non-discriminatory terms when I write formally…I know that it is preferable to use peoples with disabilities, people with vision impairement instead of disabled or blind…
    Cheers
