I watched 3 years ago a show on discovery about the testing of similar systems which are motion sensitive. The high cost of the installation/modification and the cost of the bullet it fires are the biggest problem. The show I saw was even testing the weapon on sniper bullets which were always destroyed but the problem was also reloading and the collateral damage which in this case is whatever surrounds the defended object.
