    N,
    actually 4 of his wifes…. 9 children….wil 3ashire killa….
Good intelligence work from the IDF, few more like that and the infra-structure of hammas will be down.
I predict 10 days max and this will be over.

I just hope that if it takes longer than 10 days, that they will see it through and not cave to pressure from condoleeza rice.

You started to disgust me with your blog and the comments! Here is my principle: don’t interfere in other countries’ business as long as they don’t interfere in Lebanese business! Also, you better concentrate on Lebanon.

    Ghassan,
This is an example that explains the whole difference between old LF and new LF.
A lot of the posters and commentors on this site are LFers stuck in war stage. This is why you always feel their hostility toward Hakim who succeeded in Transforming LF to a modern post war instituation that is targeting a national speach and true Christian values. Old LF used to be a pure fanatic Christian speech that was a must at that time but things evolve and some people are slower then others. So old LFers blame Hakim for is current opneness and for being an equal ally to muslim leaders like Hariri and to look at the human aspect of things and not the racist one (As a true Christian). This is why sometimes they attack Hariri because for them in the back of their mind they still hold the idea that we are superior to others. How can a real Christian make a similar post or similar comments even if it was for someone like our ugliest ennemy. How can a real Chrisitan make fun for the death even if it was for a killer and Criminal and monster like those guys.
The LF is changing with Dr. Geagea and those old LFers whom I respect because they defended us when we needed them would still need more time to adapt meanwhile have patience

  • 11. Mickel | January 3rd, 2009 at 9:43 am

    Fred,

No one is stuck in the war stage.

I criticize Hakim because I sometimes feel that he has no say in this “alliance”.

Hariri meets with Hezbollah, and Jumblatt changes his mind everyday, yet Hakim always sticks to M14 principles even if they do not benefit him.

I’m all for opening up to Sunnis and others now that they have shown us that they want the same Lebanon that we do.

But still I don’t trust anyone, because things in Lebanon can change very quickly, and that’s why we should always see whats best for us before our alliance.

As for “making fun” of that guy, there’s no love lost btween us and his people and they’ve done more than make fun of us, so I don’t think it’s a big deal.

I really didn’t know the reason for calling Nizar Al Rayan a terrorist, is it just because he’s Palestinian?
The man was a member of Hamas and fighting the jews invaders, those who have occupied his land. Please explain what act of terrorism was he practicing?

As for his wives, he’s just another muslin who has the right to marry more than 1 wife… there’s really no need to make fun of that.

    Cheers.

  • 13. N10452 | January 3rd, 2009 at 10:44 am

    No Rami,
Its because he is a terrorist …

Jew invaders occupying his land ?? what land is that ?? the one Palestinians sold long time ago to the Israelis ?? khallasna ba2a Palestinian cause .. it ceased to exist long time ago ..

As for his wives, i dont know how a prominent hamas leader kheli3 kerech ma byifham wou mjawwaz chi 12 wa7de wou 3emil 7alo leader :-)

Unless iza feti7 jebhet bil beit ..

  • 14. Rima | January 3rd, 2009 at 2:19 pm

Hamas leaders are paid to fight and to support their society which is the fountain of new little fighters… little people their only reason to be born is to fight el “jouzz”…Gaza is like an indiustry of death …Their objective is irrealistic which is the abolition of the state of ISrael..so no matter what Israel does they won’t accept…The problem with non-state actors like Hamas is their irrationality..”3abathiyeh”
They are paid to fight fight fight until yom el iyeimeh!

Still the children of Gaza are in my heart and my mind. As Golda Meir once said: The (Palestinians) will stop fighting us when they love their children more than they hate Jews. Well it seems Fatah agreed with Golda we hope Hamas will learn to be more realistic and pragmatic.

    Fred

You are generalising. Many people here are not Lfers at all but like this blog for its dynamism and vitality. We agree on this blog to disagree whether with N or others…that is the beauty of this site.
Ghassan should not run away at the first confrontation. He has a lot to offer and readers will judge who is right and who is wrong.

    Cheers

    hi

1- concerning this war in gaza ,i can easily predict that israel will not WIN It .
why ,because israel did not learn the basic mistake they made in july 2006 war with hizbullah….

    2- to alfred:
those who think there is a new LF and Old LF are quite mistaken
the Lf was established to defend the christian EXISTENCe and SOCIETY .

before adding more i say that i agree with mikel opinion..
what did this alliance bring to Lf or christians??
    till now nothing ::.
did the christian mountain dispalced by Joumblaties killer RETURN ??? NO
di thechrisrian displaced from east saida and other places return back ?? NO

did the christian gain back power from sunnite ?? NO

did the stolen inaved land by SHIITE return back to their christian owners??
    No

did the vistit of the great general to syria bring back ONE DETAINEES ???

    No
    what a historical visit.
didsome christain become more clever after allwhat happened tothem ?? NOO

in fact , the LF MUST STICK to its PRINCIPLES ordeclare itself the new dhimmite LF –.
i do not mind that it open its minds to others BUT must be in exchange for its STOLEN RIGHTS and NOt for FREE .. the way it is happening now

    regards

    and happy new year

    N10452

First of all, shame on you!!

Second,You did much worse than fail to do any real reporting on what has been happening in Gaza. You are only reading one side of the story, the Israeli side like you always did , do and will do in the future and at any time you feel like you have to defend them. Regardless of how you feel inside, always try to be fair and even ya N10452… But i guess ” li ma bimun 3la ahlo ma bimun 3la al 3lam kilo” 2inta 3la ahlak w rjelak ma bitmun kiff badak tmun 3layna w 3la kell inssen mazlum? kam mara 7a2ret w jara7et bi samir geagea? michel aoun? Amin gmayel? Leb army? Chi mara fata7et timak toward israel?? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, ru7et hejamtu la samir geagea when he said ” eh ana ta3malet ma3 israel w hala2 nadmen” me hek??? and the list goes on and on..

While Ronald reagan famously said,”trust but verify” your job is strickly to verify what you post. By failing to do so, you simply dont deserve our trust. I will never trust a word you say unless you go back to logic.

Allah yihdik wheyde kell ouwatje ma 3ref chu bado bi hal 7ayet.

the fact that hamas is launching rockets on civilians make each dog that follows them a terrorist

  • 19. paul | January 3rd, 2009 at 6:34 pm

he may have many women and children as he wants, but to hide behind them is a criminal act, he knew that the IDF wants to kill him.

  • 20. F.A | January 3rd, 2009 at 7:01 pm

    Rami,

who told us he is a terrorist??? well the looks says all my friend…
and why we make jokes on his wifes? that’s simply because we are christians and for us it looks strange to have more than one wife.
after all, it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to live with ONE wife, how do you manage to live with 4???????????? :D

    DOC1559,
I don’t feel that I should be on the wrong side of israel, after all, israel helped us in the civil war,and on the contrary, we stabbed it in the back! starting from Bashir Gmayel and follow,…
We took with wide-open hands their arms, training, they even invaded Lebanon up to Beirut… what did we give it in return???

Bottom line, divide this country, let us live as we want, backed by israel and USA, and u live under the influence of syria and iran…

I am actually even against to remove the weapons from HA, because in doing so, they will all turn into freeking al-qa3ea terrorist. at least HA are controlling them. (bass allah yis3idoun ouw yib3idoun)

    F.A

    Welcome ,

First of all, how do you allow yourself to call someone terrori&* based on his looks? Since when terroris&* have a true idendity ? looks can be deceiving and there is no way that we can determine who is who without investigations. Your reply to rami is a ‘racial prejudice’ reply by all means. You simply cannot make a judgment about a person based on their race, religion, class, etc.. Do you consider the virginia tech shooter a terrori^&???

Second, You dont have to give israel anything in return, why should you?? For being left out? Being used? I cant beleive you’re saying such thing.. I strongly beleive that you guys did your best defending the israeli agenda in lebanon (your words).. ma bade ghami2 bil 7ake hala2 byiz3lu ass7abak …you knew stuff back in the 80’s, you knew ppl. But what you didnt know was how tough and awful was it gonna be to collaborate with the israeli enemy , and here you are now days trying your best to get back on the track… I hope you do..

As for HA turning into al qaeda, I highly doubt it F.A, HA and Al qaeeda are 2 different ppl. HA political actions are based on their political program and their ressistance is to only defend their land and family from the israeli enemy who has been destroying their lives for the past 40 yrs. On the other hand, al qaedaa are .. you know them..

At last, when will the lebanese force and yourself wake up to the reality of how much this cancer called israel has done to your political body????? And If you think the Lf are not in trouble, then you are not a true ouwatje nor real lebanese.

    Thank you and welcome again..
