New Features

A new feature was added to the blog, as requested by many members, its the “Recent comments” on the right side as you might have noticed.

An Archive option will be added in the days to come.

As for creating usernames for members who post regularly here, well it will be cumbersome to do since i will get a lot of people asking for it and it will not prevent other users from writing under ur name, so i will pass on that one for the moment.

Finally, can people who are interested in posting articles, and are pro-LF or pro-M14 at least send me a valid username and email to ouwet.com@gmail.com.

I reserve the right to decide who is eligible and who is not and to remove any post that does not meet with the blog’s minimum requirements ( for ex someone praising Hezbollah will be removed & deleted :-) ).

New features will be added within a week or two, i am still working on them.

    N
I love the recent comments’ feature…Good job

I have an idea: is it possible to advertise some recent political books or dvds for exptriates so they know the latest editions…and this might be a source of funding for the site…

    Cheers

ya N.. you delete posts praising HA, you delete my (and other posts) against geagea… ya khayye what is your deal ? what’s the purpose of this blog? having a bunch of LFers praising the LFs…a blog should be a place where people of different opinions interact and exchange ideas. You keep criticizing dictatorships…well my friend your blog is exactly that: a cyber dictatorship. You might as well stand in front of a mirror, talk to yourself and praise your party and his leader. You’d better hear what others have to say…it’s the best way to learn things.
ba3den khayye, if i remember a while back you were criticizing geagea, calling him names and saying he was a traitor to the ”christian cause” ..shou 3ada ma bada ta ghayyaret ra2yak?… make up your mind my friend, dayya3etna..
are you gonna reply to this post or take the easy way out i.e. delete it ? ;)

  • 8. N10452 | August 17th, 2008 at 4:23 pm

Anonymous, i didnt mention anything about deleting UR POSTS here .. i am talking about those who will be posting like i do on the main page ..

I dont delete ur posts unless they contain insults … u can critisize geagea in a rational and civilized way .. and ur replies are never like that ..

I critisize i talk a lot about the LF & Geagea but i stay within limits .. keep in mind this is an LF blog afterall and i critisize the LF cause i care about it ..

I dont think u ll find a more diverse blog than that, just stay polite and dont write offensive replies .. just talk sense in a rational and objective way ..

I like ur inputs bass btinza3a kel mara with a low level comment … so try ur best to avoid them and i assure u i ll agree with u if u r right anytime ..

Dont’t you hate it when democracy is used by totalitarians and terrorists to grab power and then destroy all democratic institutions and values? Hamas is a great example of that twist in democracy…HA follow the steps of Hamas…Lebanon is on its way to become a no-no zone and a safe haven for terrorism…

isn’t ironic how some people winge about deleting their messages on someone’s blog while wholeheartedly supporting or covering terrorist politics?

That tells you there is a certain degree of insanity here: If they love free speech why do they support freakin regimes and politics? Ouff
    ;-)

N i know enno benza3a kel marra with stupid endings..bass ya khayye believe me it’s out of a 7ar2a… i’m sick of living abroad and not being able to go back home to work and live there…yel3an abou el gherbe shou besh3a… and to be honest with you i can only blame the politicians and the people who blindly follow them (and here i don’t mean you…)
    take care

Kteer mnee7 khayye bass tfech khel2ak bil 3alam hek is not good neither for u nor for Lebanon ..

The hardest thing to do with a lebanese is make him listen, because they always insult and curse back @ you .. they dont listen ..

So make an effort supporting the first aim nt the 2nd ..

as for coming back to Lebanon, trust me ra7 te2raf aktar once u r here ..

    Cheers mate.

Hey, great new feature, just a small comment:

From my experience, any feature that is below the fold (i.e it requires readers to scroll down to rean) is only seen by around 30 percent of browsers. People are busy and for some reason they don’t like to scroll down much.

If I were you, I would move the new feature upwards by converting “who posts here” and “sections” into drop down menus, giving you a lot of screen real estate without you losing anything.

Other than that congrats for a great work…

  • 18. kezballah | August 18th, 2008 at 7:06 am

Mustapha great tips for improving! It is clear you are in the website business. I want to say that I agree with you but I also don’t like drop down menu because you also have to click on and off, I think you can do like you said by changing the order put the last comments in the top and “Who posts here” in the bottom. Like many people say I like this blog because it is simple :-)

  • 19. Darko | August 18th, 2008 at 12:34 pm

Good feature, wont change anything for me, i check for updates on this blog on my phone by keeping bookmarks of the blog and its comments rss feed. I agree with comment #6, ma t3aj2o
