Moderation

I’ve been thinking about that issue lately and decided to do the following :

- ANY post that has any curse or any foul language will be deleted even if its a lengthy reply.

I’ve had it with moderating like i am watching over a kinder garden class.

As for posts who are against the LF, well i am sorry for readers who are bothered with them, but this is the freedom of speech i am promoting on this blog and i hope you do your part by answering them.

Anyone is welcome here.

    Does Moderation imply Peace?
And if it does, who does not want or long for peace?
I remember Ahmadi Najad wanted to destroy Israel and throw it in the sea, or was it nasallah throwing Us in the sea?…

That’s good N, it seems that recently lots of the comments had anger and rage, they seems to forget that we allare lebanese and we all want peace and prosperity and be happy in this beautiful land. Together we stand and divided we fall.

i remamber you said so two years ago ..those things about respect and deleting foul language….in those two years i was “shocked” at your respect for the “honor code” you set for yourself and for the blog…which made me stop commenting or participating in this blog..now that i see that you promise this again ….we shall see…
    god bless

    Wise decision N ! ; )

  • 11. Rodge | May 31st, 2008 at 2:45 pm

    Good decision N,
But we should all help N in this regard, by trying to write in the most respectful way.

We should all remeber that we who are commenting here, are the responsibl for keeping the level of this blog as high as it should, so Iurge everybody to abide by this decision, cause N has other things to do than deleting or moderating our comments.

    lebanon,
Whenever there are tensions or some incident occurs, you have no clue of the hundreds of comments i have read .. which honestly is not something i have time for ..

I ve respected this code as much as much as i had time to do so and deleted tons of comments ..

The problem i was faced to was some long long comments with one or two bad words … i used to disregard those but thats it from now ..

It takes two to clap .. and i cant do this alone if the members & readers wont support me …

    Thank you for ur input.

And what happens when a post contains a cruse such as Lebanonjohn’s “f*ck Aoun;wahab; ..etc” poeme? will those be moderated as well?
