Posted by N10452As expected, M14 prevailed in the AUB elections.
Not that i really care about those elections, but again Aounists have shown us some new mathematical skills where as 34 is bigger than 51 !!!

the results of the AUB elections, as per various websites, are the following:
(M14/M8/Independent):
1- Tayyar.org: 41/39/27 and 2 ties
2- Lebanese-forces.com: 51/34/19 and 5 ties
3- NowLebanon.com: 50/34/20 and 5 ties
In case any one of you has the results of last year elections, I would be interested to see them and compare.
Conclusions from the above AUB 2008 elections:
1- The Independents won around 20% of the total seats. An interesting result and
2- I hope 2009 elections will bring a similar bloc of independents to the parliament.
2. Ra'fat | November 27th, 2008 at 12:07 am
I would be interested in the faculty of engineering results, that is usually a aounie stronghold.

you cannot trust Tayyar for sure it is very biased and they adopt lies to confuse and take away the shock of defeat!
I would trust Lebanon.com!

N,
I read the tayyar website and could not find any details regarding their “victory” except for a benign declaration or press release from the M8 students…blah blah blah…I guess they’re still trying to find ways on how to spin it…
maybe Sammy, Doc or ali can help…HELP!!!

this is clear the Aounieh have won, getting any vote for them is a win. Even if they get 1 of 100 its a win for them.
Yalla next elections they will say they got 10 seats, they won !!!!!!
12. N10452 | November 27th, 2008 at 11:36 am
Sar yotla3 hal2ad Palestinians bil AUB ??

13. Baron | November 27th, 2008 at 11:48 am
The funny thing is that they claim the victory, but if you read the detailed results on THEIR website, you can see they have lost by a huge margin..(even with the “Independant-ification” of some.
14. AUB | November 27th, 2008 at 12:32 pm
I understand this is an ouwet blog and you have to say what you’re saying, but allow me to tell you you’re a big liar.
AUB elections were over yesterday, there was 27 independent seats, and the Opposition overtook march14 by a difference of a single seat, and I will remind you who the USFC president is when he is chosen.
P.S: there was a palestinian candidate on march14 list for junior FAS.
15. N10452 | November 27th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
Rima,
Because as i stated in previous posts, student elections should be banned as they are generating more hatred among the youth and damaging their academic career and only profiting to the current politicians ..
Those elections were needed when Syria was invading us .. nowadays its just the big politicians manipulating the students ..
16. jad | November 27th, 2008 at 2:49 pm

17. Rima | November 27th, 2008 at 2:51 pm
what is that “ties” thing?
18. danny | November 27th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
N,
I disagree. It is the learning of the democratic process. Whether it increases the hate? i do not buy that. I someone wants to hate they’ll find a reason. Universities are just reflecting the lack of intelligent discourse in Lebanese society. They vote along cult and tribal lines instead of ideolgy and issues..
however, I repeat as far as the process is done peacefully and in a transparent way, they will learn that it is better option that use of sila7…as the hizb of silaz does…
19. N10452 | November 27th, 2008 at 3:37 pm
Danny,
University elections are supposed to be academic ones not politically driven ..
Iza inta ally la Iran, chou khassa bil jem3a hayde ???
Such elections even if democratic generate more hatred and do not improve students’ lifes … so they are not serving their main goals and therefore are useless ..
20. N10452 | November 27th, 2008 at 3:46 pm
aaa,
And i understand you are a Aounist and u have no opinion of your own ..
Go re-read the papers wou minzakkir ba3ed bil USFC indeed ..
21. Ra'fat | November 27th, 2008 at 4:25 pm
I think the aounieh now use the same logic as HA to define victory [victory is in the eye of the beholder :0)], really sad indeed, but it is expected. Next they will start marching in 3ashoura and move into HA areas and dress their women in tents. But I digress, anyways, there always were palestinians winning in AUB elections, at least when I was there.
22. AUB | November 27th, 2008 at 5:08 pm
Is this the best you can come up with? bash Aoun and Aounists to get the joy and satisfaction of the clappers?:)
I gave you facts ya habibi, march14 took the biggest blow in its face yesterday: sophomore FAS, which is supposed to be 100% pure march14 was split 6-5 between march14 and the Opposition. Business school was not completely sweeped by march14 (but then again, so was not engineering completely sweeped by the Opposition).
The results are very clear, march14 lost by a difference of one seat against march8. It all depends on who the independents will vote for to decide whether USFC president is gonna be march 14 or march8, but in case they vote blank (which they should do), he will be a march8 candidate.
It has become a trend for you to spread lies, yesterday you give mathematics lessons on the results in the lawyers elections while you’re the one who needed them, and today you spread lies about march14 “sweeping” AUB elections.
P.S: Note that these elections mean absolutely nothing, especially that the scores couldn’t be any closer than they actually were, but it’s also a trend for you guys to give yourselves bursts of confidence by comparing university elections scores. But after all, everyone has his standards in life, Chamoun aims at the municipality elections…you guys aim at the univeristy elections…others aim a bit higher, if you know what I mean..:)
23. ja3far | November 27th, 2008 at 5:18 pm

24. Rodge | November 27th, 2008 at 6:18 pm
AUB,
A3ssabak, you said “these elections mean absolutely nothing”, 3ala shou m3assab??
Tawwil belak, now we know u’re a pure Aounist, since you can’t accept losing.
Bassita kheyra bi gheyra, bass ma byeswa kermel so7tak, el general still needs you, walaw kermel el general….
25. Ra'fat | November 27th, 2008 at 6:50 pm
According to the Tayyar’s own website:
M14: 44
M8: 39
Indep.: 28
Rest are ties.
Ja3far 2000, and funnily enough I was one of the founding group of Bila houdood (No Frontiers), with Saghiyeh, waheeb Ma3louf and the rest of the guys. But have since drastically changed my political views. Cheers,
26. danny | November 27th, 2008 at 6:54 pm
AUB,
Read your own Website…although you declare victory, your number contradict your assertion unless victory is moral…
The funny thing about people of orange and lemonade ; the coolaid crowd; that you get upset when you declare victory…I wonder what would you do if you EVER conced defeat…Please do not tell…BOOM…
27. fad14 | November 27th, 2008 at 7:27 pm
Where are the official results Published ?
28. Charles | November 27th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
Guys i am currently an AUB student and believe me do not listen to “AUB”. I will publish the results once they are out by the university’s official newspaper, Outlook. I really do not know where “AUB” is getting his information from but it really made me laugh. First of all, it is impossible that 8th of March won by one candidate unless the palestinians and the “independent” candidates were counted with them. It was a great victory for 14th of March as always, with a huge gain in engineering and agriculture (where it has been 3 years in a row for 8th of March, and the 1st and 2nd this year were from the LF), however a slight dissapointment in FAS sophomores where it was a 6-5 victory for 14th of march of whom 4 were from the LF.
29. Charles | November 27th, 2008 at 8:45 pm
One more thing, believe me people, the Social Club (LF club) in AUB is unbelievably powerful in 14th of March decisions and outcomes; whereas the Freedom Club (FPM club) is really useless in that its decisions are made for, candidates are placed for, and ideas are given to. One more small fact, more than one-third of the tayyar candidates are from other parties.
30. Bachir 7ay Fina | November 27th, 2008 at 10:16 pm
AUB,
You said there was a palestinian in Junior FAS with the march 14? There were 5 candidates bl lista ya habibi: 2 LF, 2 Musta2bal and 1 Tajadood.
do u see any palestinians listed?? You are such a liar…. metl kel jame3etkon taba3 8 adar…
31. Baron | November 28th, 2008 at 1:43 am
AUB, khabberneh kif 14-March didn’t win all of Business.
ALL the candidates on the Students at Work campaign won, and the campaign presented full lists in all the years.
Share with me these latest avancements in Aouny Logic and Mathematic so we can discuss, I don’t have your knowledge in the field.
15 in Business,
14 in FAS,
8 in Engineering
8 in FAFS
5 in FHS
these are the results for 14-March, undisputed even by your camp.
Again, we don’t have your Aouny wisdom. Please enlighten us.

la2 habibi bachir, bas ta ma jedlak bel ma7el, I waited till today to bring you the news.
March14 took 0 seats in the USFC, while March8 took everything, starting with the President seat.
Now would be a good time to use the term “sweep” N.
Kbaro shway, who gives a shit who wins university elections…

Don’t give me lectures on how to manage my time you hypocrite. Everytime, you say you don’t care about those elections, but yet, you manage to post about them using those charged terms like “sweep”…;)
Second, we were talking about FAS, I don’t give a shit about the rest (I don’t even know what the overall result was). The people bachir 7ay fina mentioned all lost in the USFC FAS elections, and that’s enough for me.:)
typical, exactly like the eroneous and misleading quote of michel aoun you posted yesterday…I admire though the way you try and always give yourself hope…courage mon ami…:)
36. N10452 | December 4th, 2008 at 4:46 pm
Yes i dont care and i have repeatedly confirmed that in more than a post but i write results as i get them and as requested by some members … so either read me well or keep ur mouth shut ..
