Most papers today and the M14 politicians and even Berri seem optimistic about today’s session ..
Apparently a ‘deal’ was reached late last night in order to get Suleiman to presidency without passing by the government or even a constitutional amendment ..

I must say i dont support Suleiman still, but having him as a president is least worse than having a president ‘bala rass’ ( Aoun) or no president …

We will see what happens.

I also don’t trust Suleiman but I hope that the blood of Hajj invigorated him rather than intimidated him.

Of two evils, choose the least

On TAYYAR site, they posted that
    “معلومات خاصةللtayyar.org
تفيد أن مصير جلسة اليوم سيكون

كسابقاتها حيث ستؤجّل الى موعد لاحق ”

So since they are the ones holding the process, then……. nothing will happen today

N10452, the road to Baabda SHOULD pass by Rabyeh, there’s no other way. In case you didn’t see it yet, maybe you should reconsider what has been happening for the last 8-9 cancelled sessions.
The opposition nominated Aoun as the sole negotiator, go speak to him.
Yalla, another wall is coming and no one really cares to look outside his small box.

    N,

You are right about Sleiman! I can’t support him either…another army general, we begin to be like Chile and Syria.

Anyway the world is with us and they can’t govern without the majority for sure.

Let them get the governement too and we wait and look at the solution they can bring to this country.

Maroun forget the road to Baabda! Aoun arrived once and we saw how he end.

Aoun accepted Suleiman as a consensual candidate, what are you talking about? “Aoun arrived once and we saw how he end.”

Well, it’s been postponed yet one more time. Very insulting indeed that we, as CHRISTIANS, are letting a Chiite dictate to us when and how we can elect a CHRISTIAN president. The LF official campaign during this crisis has been nothing but pathetic, allow me to say. I don’t want to hear yet another speech, I DEMAND action.

As long as Berri is calling the shots here, Christians would never have a president or they’ll just have a stripped-down president. How in God’s name did we get to this point, and why isn’t our leadership electing a president yet ????????? The constitution gave us the way out, why haven’t we claimed our right yet ???

Do we just wait until they assassinate all our sons ? …. Are we happy with the status-quo, them buying our lands and pushing us out little by little …. 1 million algere died to liberate their country ? Our sacrifices were short of achieving our goal ….

The Christians of M14 need to form one loud/bold/courageous block, draft a a clear time schedule and give ultimatum to the opposition block. M14’s christians need to take their rights in their own hands. No one else is more implicated in this than them …. They should be the one setting the dates, not Berri. Samir Geagea, stand up to the challenge now … time is running out.

I believe that Sleimen has good ties with Syria just coz he doesn’t want to end up like the others. He is just protecting himself. And will find out for sure when he takes the seat.
