Only in …

Lebanon ??

PS: If you look closely ( click on pic to see full size ), you will realize the red light is for the left turn only, but nonetheless, if you are not close enough to see those lights, you will see red & green lights !

This is a symbol of a THIRD WORLD country !!!

It is also a sign which wants to say: “IT IS FORBIDDEN (red light)” and at the same time: “YOU CAN DO IT (green light)”…

Yes wa are 1000 years backwards.

this is common here in the US. Except our red lights are at the bottom, and green on top, and the left turn red is an arrow, not a circle, but I could not see the larger version of this photo. We also have left turn lanes, which I don’t believe Lebanon does, at least I do not remember any when I visited in April, in fact most the time there were no lanes at all, you make your own, sometimes 4 lanes sometimes 7 on the same road.

    Hey David,
What part of the USA do you live in? In all of my travels and places of stay, I have never seen the inverted traffic light you seem to describe. It always is red on top, green on bottom, or all on the same level, but never green on top…Regards

in every country there are two columns of traffic lights, especially in the case of numerous lanes !! so the green light in this picture refers to turning right , well the red refers to stopping cars from goin from … thtat’s it :) vbas anyways il traffic light ma ktir mhimeh 3inna .. duno y..
