Only in Lebanon ..

Only in Beirut’s Marathon, you will find people talking on their cell phones while running, people stopping to have a coffee or people dancing dabke on the start line …

While all these issues i listed are acceptable, i never thought i would see someone smoking a cigarette on the start line …
But then again, this is Lebanon :-)

    Its a freaking marathon !!! who smokes on the start line of a marathon ??

    Well there are things like that that make me ashamed of my country and many other things who make me feel proud .. but its still my country :-)

    Lebanese people will never how bad cigarettes are for them.

    The government should do something to make the people cut back on cigarettes, like raising their prices (in california, a pack of cigarettes is $5, and soon to be $7.50)

    In London, there’s a huge label on the front of the box that says “smoking kills”.

    AND PAULETTE,
    JUST BECAUSE HE’S A DOCTOR, DOESN’T MEAN THAT IF HE SMOKES, THEN IT’S OKAY FOR EVERYONE ELSE TO SMOKE.
    AND JUST BECAUSE HE’S A DOCTOR DOESN’T MEAN THAT IT’S HEALTHY.

    was this marathon for everyone or just like a certain “Group” of lebanese people if it was for everyone i think its a good idea, it would be good for the lebanese people to do shit like this together
