Kataeb is celebrating today its 72nd anniversary and Sheikh Pierre’s 2nd annual remembrance.
The event is huge, bigger than i thought it would be, and highly organized.
You can follow news updates on the Kataeb site.

i was impressed by the well-organization of this celebration. they made good job there!!
i also liked the sayings of Piere, and the 1st part of ameen jmayyel when he talked abt piere its was emotional!!
as for the rest of his speech, it was kinda boring and as usual offending hzbulla!!:)

so true bachir, so true
anything they do is irano-syrian and shows islamic tendencies, but when one of us does the same, its totally understandable, and “3ayb” if someone said it s wrong…

All appearances aside, I think the Kataeb party is making the right move. The christians feel that the Orangist have gone way off message, and that the LF has a lot of internal strife. The Kataeb are going back to the basics capturing the essence of the christian voice and spearheading our aspirations. I wish them the best and they definitely have my support.

I think the Kataeb are back again and they proved it not only today.
It is the result of the work done by Pierre Himself, and that’s what we want in our parties, new and effective blood.
Anyway, It’s good to have the Kataeb back, and they are still organized as they were in their first years with the late big Sheikh Pierre.
Also I think the organization showed by the LF during the martyrs mass, and by the Kataeb today, showed they are both on the right track, and they can give many good lessons to follow.

Your quote : and by the kataeb today, showed they are both on the right track.
lah lah ya rodge, Both LF and kateeb are far away from being on the right track! What’s the right track for you ? wuld you plz elaborate?
There is no such thing as RIGHT TRACK. There are results and achievements. It is surprising to me that you guys adapte to what’s new and forget all about what you had on your agenda 2 yrs ago. Do you consider the results after the daw7a agreement as RIGHT TRACK ! As for me, I consider it RIGHT WING FAILURE IN LEBANON…
Also consider the following :
NOW THIS IS WHAT I CALL RIGHT TRACK.
More : ثالثا ستفقد قوى الرابع عشر من آذار مكوّنا مسيحيا اساسيا فيها لتصير «القوات» وحيدة بين القوى المسيحية في هذه الجبهة
Are we gonna witness a new era of tahmish al ouwet ? If so , will you still call it right track ?
At last , 2inta kifak ?

Raf’a I have to disagree.
God knows how much I love sheikh pierre and his father, and I must say that this mahrajein was superb!
But Bachir is right in the sense where this is beautiful, but meaningless. Completely meaningless. If you want to honor Pierre, you don’t have to go all military on us w nwa22if chabeib el scout metl el 3askar.
The only goal of all this is electoral. And I must say that, despite how much I hate orannnnnnnge, the only one who has taken intelligent advantage of his power for the election is Gebran Bassil. He has proven to the people that most of the problems in the government can easily be resolved and werent because our politicians didnt want them to be.
I suggest that M14 should start working for the elections. And by working I mean showing us WHY we should vote for them. Because God knows I wont be voting for Marwan Hemede.

Doc,
First of all I have other things to do in my life, so don’t pretend u’re innocent by saying in the next comment that u’re still waiting, and you know better than others that I do reply and I don’t run away.
Second,
I don’t know why u’re still stuck to the Doha agreement, you always bring this agreement to claim that we lost and you won, while you should realize that it is called agreement, and when you say agreement, meaning both parties will have to negociate and compromise and lose something while winning other things.
And if you want to talk about results, just tell me what your people achieved in this regard?? I don’t have to remind you what u were calling for dsuring ur sit in at the down town.
I believe all the parties in Lebanon are weakened by the agrrements and deals made elsewhere.
As for the contacts you mentioned between FPM and Kataeb, I will tell you keep on dreaming and reading Al-Akhbar, maybe this will give you own satisfaction, and I’m hapy for you.
At last, and for the millionth time I will say it to you clear and loud, I’m not with the ones who win, i’m with those who are right, and till now I’m convinced that 14th of March ally is right, I know there are mistakes, but at east there are working for the sake of Lebanon.
And in this regard I see Kataeb and LF on the right track, since they are reorganizing themselves, and they gained lots of ground lately, and if you want to compare between now and 3 years ago, yourself you gonna realize that fact.
Before I end this comment, I would like to say something, and as you all noticed lately, I’m not being involved in comments and relplies too much like many of you. I really appreciate all the efforts u’re exerting in debating, but I feel it’s like we’re still in the same place, I also can’t give much time here, but I think I will not be able to fight my feeling for too long and I wil come back much efficiently.
Ana Mni7 enta kif??

Carl Tabet, in what did gigi succeed, apparently u didn’t follow the file, gigi has cut a deal witha company without opening the mkt to competition, in normal countries he would end upo in jail. The mistake of m14 is not communicate well enough on the case and leave some people with the twisted infos u have…

I am busy as well and dont have time to follow up on my comments. I am to the level where I submit without reviewing…
anyway, I am not living the daw7a values nor wanna talk about it but dont you think sacrificing blood without a return is a blasphemy that you should never 4give yourself doing it? La chu meto al chabeb taba3kun ? piere , jubran w ghayron? la 3youn saad? walla kilo bihun for the PETRO MONEY?
As for the results , oh come on rodge, you know better than that!! HA/ aoun are very pleased with the results! Dont you think???
I also want you to keep in mind that setting goals is one thing, setting efectives goals is another. One way to think of this is to remember that YOU WERE ON M14 SIDE FOR THE PAST 2 YRS WE CLASHED 2GETHER ON THIS BLOG. I CAN go back in archive and prove you wrong but i will not do that to you bcoz I respect you and I really think of you as a good writter on this blog. So plz dont bull me with your words of being on the right side not the winner side unless you are another INDEPENDENT ON THIS BLOG? Are you ??
At last, I do agree with you that the LF and kateeb are coming 2gether as a stong alliance and may hurt aoun in the 09 election, but always keep in mind that future comes one day at the time. ya3ne only time will tell , lets wait and see.. al siyyese ma 2ila sa7eb , mich hek sar bil ta7elif al rube3i?
Thank you ..

29. Rodge | November 24th, 2008 at 8:18 am
Doc,
I have one word to convince you ya sa7bi.
I support the principles of any party or alliance, and till now, I still see that 14th of March alliance is having the same principles I look for, and believe me if and when they change, I will be the first one to criticize and attack them.
You know urself that in politicis you can’t achieve whatever u want, and by saying HA and Aoun came out happy after Doha, it’s like denying many facts, and as you said, Future will prove.
Also, If what you said is right and they have won everything, I’m still with my principles, it’s like for example I’m German in football, but that doesn’t mean if they lose the WC to Brazil that I will support Brazil.
I’m a man of principles and I only go by my principles, regardless what happened and who win or else, and to prove you that i’m independent in my beliefs, you should know that I didn’t vote in my life to any politician, because I don’t fully believe in anyone.
