  N, your religious background is spot-on, but the obvious answer is that Adha’s taken on a Muslim-identity and so that’s why it’s taken as a ‘Muslim’ Holiday.

  In any case, Adha, Easter, Christmas, Fitr… whatever! *kol* 3eid (chou ma ken) w inta b kheir…

  Omar, Adha is about when Abraham was about to sacrifice his kid and stuff and this event is considered important in Judaism and Christianity too so that’s why N is saying that this holiday is for all religions.

  Five people were wounded Monday when residents from northern Metn fought with daggers and sticks during a street brawl that took place after a man parked his bike in the wrong place.

  Police said the fight which broke out around 5 pm pitted residents from al-Ruwaisat against others from New Jdeideh in northern Metn.

  They identified the injured as Elie Kreidi, Adel Khoury, Hanna Khoury, David Khoury and Joe Khoury.

  Security forces made up of police and army troops quickly stepped in to contain the fight.

  News reports said a resident from Ruwaisat who belongs to the Yehya family parked his bike at the entrance to a building in New Jdeideh.

  They said a verbal quarrel developed when tenants asked him to remove his bike and park it somewhere else.

  Yehya got on his bike and sped away to Ruwaisat only to come back to New Jdeideh with 60 people, including relatives and friends from Zaaiter family who were armed with knives, daggers and sticks.

  They fought with residents on Osseily Street in Jdeitit el-Metn until security forces were dispatched to the area to halt the clash.

  Four people from the Yehya and Zaaiter families were arrested and taken for interrogation.

  I think people like you aren’t ment to live in a society,maybe in a tent somwhere out there….
  That’s what makes the beauty of our country,the good will,and interraction between the religions….
  And eventhough i’m not on N10452′S political side,but i respect him as my fellow Lebanese citizen,and i know well that even not agreeing on the ways to built our beloved Lebanon,but i’m sure he goes from a goodwil and real concern on how to build a real country….Plus i appreciate his Adha wishes to us…..

  Sorry Hassan but what is your political affiliation so we know where you are coming from. Although Muslims and Christians were enemies in the civil war, let’s not forget the inter- christian fights the inter-shiaa clashes…So basically everyone fought with everyone.Time to grow up before it is too late.

  Btw, N this is not a holiday for Judaism n Christianity; it is indeed the story of Abraham willing to sacrifice his son Isaac but God instead sent him a lamb but both religions do not give it any importance.
  Never had any of my jew friends celebrating it nor in the Christian entourage.
  Actually I don’t even understand why muslims do???!!!
