Who’s the next president ?
Posted by N10452Another major event awaits the political life in Lebanon, electing a new president.
This is probably the only seat M14 failed in changing or even weakening, mainly cause of the FPM and Hezbollah support to the Syrian Puppet Emile Lahoud.
Lahoud’s mission since the Syrians were out was to put every possible obstacle in front of the March14 government and abuse of all his powers to delay every decision they take, from appointing new judges, to changing the ISF structure, to electing a new MP after Sheikh Pierre’s assasination and others and now the major obstacle, not resigning from his post and not allowing a smooth transfer of the presidency.
Patriarch Sfeir after ‘boycotting’ Lahoud for more than a year, went to visit him and assure from Baabda that the presidency is in Bkerke’s hands. Nabih Berri is behind the patriarch which is a good step even though i dont trust that hypocrite, and 14th of March will definitly support any decision the patriarch takes.
The only problem here, as always, is a certain Michel Aoun who thinks God sent him on a mission to become president, but i think March 14 can pull a very smart play here by choosing one of the MPs on his bloc as their prime candidate.
I always had in mind Cheble el Mallat as a neutral candidate, but i was having a chat with a friend of mine, and Dr.Farid el Khazen is looking like the candidate M14 are basing their hopes on. The man is not a Aounist and was in the KC gathering, he is close to both sides and an extremley competent person for that position.
Nassib Lahoud & Boutros Harb are in my opinion valid candidates as well but picking someone from Aoun’s bloc would do the job.
There are a lot of hints that point to someone like Khazen, he is young and was not a warlord or a military, qualities the patriarch asked for and Samir Geagea hinted about during several interviews.
Let us hope for the best and that Aoun wont cause any problems if he is not voted and i hardly see how he is hoping to become president, after all he did .

I agree that either Nassib Lahoud Or Boutros Harb should be president.
I prefer that Amin Gemayel does not become the president, as last time he was, things went bad for Lebanon.
Last and least, if it is GMA or one of his tails then: Al Salam 3ala Lebnen. Al hegra hiya al 7all (except if you are chi3a).
Salem el massi7 ya chabeib, w Allah ykoun ma3 lebnen.

for sure not me.
If the next president will be from 14 march movement , then it should be a Member of LF as LF is the biggest among other christians parties and they represent the majority of christians inside 14 March .
Why not an LFer to be the next president?

6. LF forever | May 16th, 2007 at 2:06 pm
I suggest a new figure , never heard about and coming from the immigration community of maronite kataeb abroad (better USA and lebanese forces bashir time lover) far from Hariri saudi business and the damaged idiocy of Aoun. Than nobody is hurt and for sure he loves lebanon.

I think we need Zoubran Batheeel for president, keeping up with Lahoud, Zoubran can’t pronounce israel, and his papa in law will be happy the little genius learned sometheeng from the great GMA (winner of the fastest jog to drink coffee between baabda and mar takla) (unbeaten by the last attempt of Hassan Mastoulah to jog between dahyieh and damascus during the last summer war).
11. SERGIO | May 16th, 2007 at 11:56 pm
I wish Dr. Samir Geagea will be the next president of Lebanon. And for those who do not like it, “Syria and Iran are vast enough for them”
12. SERGIO | May 17th, 2007 at 12:00 am
Every day in a single cell for refusing to sell Lebanon to Syria is equal to six years of presidency.
13. SERGIO | May 17th, 2007 at 2:27 am
To this piece of shit emile lahhous I say: “every single day in presidency selling Lebanon to Syria worth six years in a cell”.

15. WHAT | May 17th, 2007 at 6:44 am
I agree with sergio,
DSG has the type of qualities that Lebanon needs right now. He has the resilience and tenacity that is needed in leadership. Whatever happens, I want the next president to be 100% Anti-Syrian because all of the suffering we have gone through decades of, and recently the past 3 years, would have happened in vain. Everybody we lost; our leaders, our journalists, our youth, they all would have fallen in vain.
Let’s give a united effort to make the next presidency the best presidency.

Delta,
Tefjir el knisse wasn’t Geagea for your information and by court sentence.
Concerning Abi Nasr, I like the guy but the fact that he is licking the A of your ahbal Aoun. We will never accept him.
Zoubran Batheeel, would be great specially experiencing his politic in Africa to teach us how to be honest and governing a country like his father in law, ajdab metlo…El Tayyar against el ektai (feudal system) bi libnan.

That’s the truth, you’re only against GMA, you prefer anyone of Hariri’s dogs but not GMA….because he will return the Christian role back…The democracy back to Lebanon not the Saudi Royalism…I don’t understand how do u accept a Child to bring u your president?

see if we want a real and good president this gentlman should be 1:al shei5 ameEn 2:sham3oun , not 2lHAKIM because amen and sham3oun has large and great experience for this job even thou i wish if HAKIM comes the president but he mis experience and for me its much and much better if AMEEN became the president because he has experienced this position before .
the best wishes to allthe LForces and its leaders and all the 14 of march and GOD shall protect them ,because they are the ones that are secrificing for there belove country
