Two years already ..
Posted by N10452Its been two years since this blog was started, two years and 3 months to be specific.
It has been growing since then in popularity and i have been hearing lots of compliments & complaints from valuable members which i thank them for being a real asset to this blog, and of course i’ve been getting endless insults & threats from disrespectful readers, which i also thank for and hope they improve in time.
Nonetheless, i would like to hear some comments from you on what to improve, what are the things that bother you, how should we tackle new topic etc …
I was decided to start a new way of doing things few months ago, but time was against me, but better late than never.
Awaiting your feedbacks.
Here is one of my first posts on this blog.

“The way you get meaning into your life is to devote yourself to loving others, devote yourself to your community around you, and devote yourself to creating something that gives you purpose and meaning”.
N,
This is EXACTLY what you have been doing. Sincere Congratulations
2. Rodge | August 11th, 2008 at 6:43 pm
God bless you N,
U’ve been doing a very good work. This blog has become more like a home for us, in which all the guys, even those who we disagree with them, are members of one family. You created a space where we could say what we think, where we can trade good ideas most of times, despite some people who come here just to criticize others and show some bullshits.
I don’t always agree with your opinion, but I know that we both have the same objective, and the same background, the same principles.
Now, we are facing a problem in moderating our comments, since sometimes we have to wait for hours to validate them which lead to the loss of some good ideas.
Sometimes you write too many posts in one day, while other times we keep on reading the same post for a few days.
We know that you have ur work, and u’re busy with it, so I suggest someone shold help you here.
One last suggestion, maybe you could give some of us the opportunity to write some posts.
Anyways, Keep the good work, and you are such a great person, we need many like you in Lebanon.

4. kezballah | August 11th, 2008 at 7:12 pm
N, first Allah ya3tik 2alf 3afieh for keeping this blog open for us to dialogue.
I agree with Rodge for the improvement ideas. I see many names on the right of the page “Who posts here” but almost I never see any posts from them. But other people here are posting all the time for a long time and still we have to be moderated (a lot of the time I don’t know why) and we can not start a new article we always reply to your articles.
I think “Who posts here” is out of date, so please give some people a way to start a new article, but please only people who are pro the LF but with open mind so you dare to criticize something wrong, because this is Ouwet blog not March 8 blog.
5. paul | August 11th, 2008 at 8:10 pm
N
I have the same feelings like Rodge with one difference, he can express it better .
and i agree with him and kezballah that you need new people, and there are many who are very well suited for this job.
me, as English teacher
no honest now… I would suggest that you give a 8 marcher the opportunity to write on this blog, surely with conditions.
you can put a sign that we are not like they told about us, and this will increasing the level of discussions.
and once again thank you very much.

hey N,
I read the blog almost daily but i never comment. There are a couple of things i can think of that you can do to improve the site:
you could add a link to the oldest posts on the website.
also, if it’s possible, assign username and passwords to regular visitors so that people don’t comment under other people’s names.
w gheyro, kifak inta?
i’ll see you when i get back next week
bye

12. N10452 | August 11th, 2008 at 11:04 pm
Thank u guys for the comments.
I will tackle the points mentioned one by one.
1- Concerning the users who post here, if any pro-LF or pro March 14 member wants to post, please mail me a valid username & email to samirgeagea@gmail.com and i will set you up with an account asap.
2- Moderating the comments has been a problem since the start, firstly i used to moderate ALL comments and not allow any, instead now i just put some keywords ( bad words, insults) to keep the comments including them under moderation. Some have been complaining though about their comments being under moderation for no reason, i will promise i will check on that issue.
As for me not having time, well i am almost online all day, barely sleeping at nights, but u know i do go out guys
lool, and go out a lot actually, so bare with me but i ll see how to resolve any pending comments for no reason anyway, maybe setting u guys up with usernames will help it.
3- Concerning the indecent posts, i have been avoiding them and i have been removing tons of bad comments, i dont have time to go through my old posts, but that will be a rule from now on for all including me.
4- and most importantly, i need few days to think on how to tackle the problems i post in an efficient and more constructive way ( since i believe my way is pretty constructive if someone from those in charge of the LF bother read it).
I guess that covers most of whats been said, i will give this post another day to see further feedbacks.

The thing that I love most about your posts is that you’re an ‘independent thinker’; you don’t blindly follow Hakim and I think we need more people like that, because the only we could get better is when someone points out our mistakes so we can fix them.
The site is good, you just need to update the people who post here.
And the archives search isn’t that accurate.
P.S.
I don’t really like those posts about people’s weddings etc. I would prefer that you replace them with those articles about food that you used to post.
But overall the blog is great, I read it everyday, and go on it whenever I have the chance in the day.
Keep up the good work and happy 2 years, 3 months anniversary.
15. Stallion | August 12th, 2008 at 12:51 am
n
the best thing u could do is simply stop posting articles. just make it an ognoing comment for fer2et ja3ja3 w ammouna to express their mental complications and their hysteria against aoun. this is probably the best way to express their fear from the guy.
i doubt that anyone is concerned about ur posts anyway. so why bother.
16. Tarek | August 12th, 2008 at 12:52 am
Well in general the blog is great, it’s the only blog I post in ..
However, what plays the most important role in a blog is the comm enters mainly. The quality was good at the beginning but recently there has been so many worthless and pointless comments just for flaming and trolling. I don’t know how would that be be corrected but usually in forums you can register and in some you can report a comment, things to consider.
Other than that, keep up the good work, regardless if I agree with what you post, it is always good to discuss the issues freely and share the views.
17. Rima | August 12th, 2008 at 1:48 am
N
As an expatriate, this blog is a good way of connecting with Lebanese people in and outside Lebanon. I am not LF and many on this blog admit they are not, which indicates that LF is filling the gap…
Lf as someone mentioned above is not about Geagea or Amin or anyone but about all Lebanese who beleive in free and modern Lebanon. It is obvious that LF and affiliated parties did not change their principles but others have decided to join us in the fight for sovereignty like Future Party and so on…If they change, including LF, the spirit of free Lebanon will carry on the good fight.
To be honest, I am so shocked with the Orangists’ logic and I think by answering them I am stirring their anger.Nevertheless, my aim is not to keep criticizing the man but to counter this ugly propaganda that is spreading like cancer–just in case some outsiders are reading the blog…
I love your posts and would like to read more analyses of the current issues from other bloggers instead of being distracted by some boring discussions from some 8 March about aoun-Geagea…
Is it possible to show on the side of the blog the new posted comments?
Thank you so much for your time and efforts and Happy anniversary…
God bless Lebanon
18. kezballah | August 12th, 2008 at 4:29 am
Well Stallion as usual 7aka dirar
N I want to add something that you can never satisfy everyone even pro LF M14 so I think you should continue with your way now because it is working and lot of people read the blog and enjoy it, but it is always good idea to improve a little and update a little.
I don’t think everyone should get a username to write articles, I think someone who want to write should email you the article and you put it with their name if you think it is good, but also there is some people who write well and follow the news they should replace the names who are not writing.
About moderating I think if we keep it open space because freedom is the real LF cause, it is OK if someone use the smart Lebanese language it is fun so I prefer we don’t monitor words we are sick of monitoring by Syria and Kizballah. Of course the flood with insults like LEBNENE is obvious because he is not discussing and he should be removed quickly because it is not part of the dialogue it is only to ruin the blog.
One more thing I love to read the variety of articles not only politics, also the food articles and the gossip it is OK we are not 2al shabake it is fine once in the while.
Thank you for listening to the feedback

N You are a good man u earned the respect of all of us with your hard work
WE love you N alla yihrsak
20. Rima | August 12th, 2008 at 4:47 am
Hi all
Just one more thing I agree with Kizballah to keep it a free place and when I complain about discrimination it is to make it clear that these comments are unacceptable and that all bloggers should rebuke them…No need for N to loose his time and remove or delete them…
but I urge all bloggers to please answer all kind of false allegations and propaganda on this website, if you have solid proofs…because if we leave them unanswered we create a false impression that what they are saying is true…What they are doing is trying to create a kind of indirect indoctrination by throwing words here and words there…be aware….words are powerful tools… no wonder Jubran Tueini and Samir kassir were assassinated…
God bless lebanon
21. Ado | August 12th, 2008 at 5:35 am
Hahaha i can see that now you respect Samir KAssir and Jebran Tueni in an Ouwwet blog that’s the good part, faking compassion…
Tueni always hated GeagEA’S gutt,he even testified against him in Dany Chamoun’s case, and Kassir’s believes in the palestinian case do you believe in it too ;)????
22. N10452 | August 12th, 2008 at 6:17 am
Ado, please stick to the topic for now.
23. kezballah | August 12th, 2008 at 6:17 am
Ado please can we keep the thread for feedback to N. Quick answer to you question Yes I believe in Palestinian cause in Palestine but NOT Tariq Falastin tamur fi Jounieh, NOT PLO Jaysh 2al Islam and NOT Arafat ruling Lebanon. Gibran Tuani visited Geagea in jail and at the airport gave him the Cedar revolution scarf. Geagea made many mistakes but the war is not going to the ballet.
Rima I agree with your style 100%, we can condemn someone who change the discussion from politics to attack women on the blog for example even if it is someone M8 or M14, but we don’t need help to delete the comments unless it is someone who is only here for insult and spam like LEBNENE model then we can ask N to help.
I think if a M8 person has a good article they can also email it to N and he decides if it is published (like paul’s idea but send to N in email), same for M14 but M8 people please rememeber this is a Ouwet blog you can not install your phone network and rockets here also
24. Rima | August 12th, 2008 at 6:38 am
What so funny…???
I just googled this information:
“Dory (his older brother who replaced him as leader of the National Liberal Party) declared publicly on 25 April 2005 that he believed Geagea to be innocent and demanded a new investigation to uncover the real assassins, whom he suspected of being Syrian agents.”
Syrian agents are behind all these ungly assassinations…just see how high Syrian officials like kanaan and suleiman are being assassinated in Syria one after another…
Throwing accusations to protect Syria and her dogs is just “bassesse”
25. Stallion | August 12th, 2008 at 6:57 am
wow why did dory wait till 2005 to declare ur hakim’s innocence?
maybe hariri back then refused to pay him and then in 2005 he needed every farfoot so he paid dory 1000 dollars and dori accepted it because he said more than once that he needs money?
hariri in 2005 was gathering the PIECES and paying each leader of the march 14 based on how many votes they can give him. haram dori and carlos eddi they got paid the least . eddi lately complained and threatened to leave march 14 gang. isti2altou ba3da m3alla2a because hariri hasn’t decided to give him another payment yet.
26. Stallion | August 12th, 2008 at 6:59 am
looks like hariri won’t put carlos eddi back on his payroll this month. eddi has to wait until one month before 2009 elections.
27. Stallion | August 12th, 2008 at 7:01 am
hehe al dori is a leader of hezb el ahrar .
haram hal dori m3assab since year 2000 when he discovered he has no followers and all his followers left him and followed aoun (same as what happened to carlos eddi, amouna jmayyil and ja3ja3) .
badkon te3ezrou jame3ton these days especially in this blog here . mhasetreen wem3asbeen kteer.
28. kezballah | August 12th, 2008 at 7:10 am
7aka Badri, ex-Stallion now Syrian Badri Abu Kalabsha
In the new FPM book every one in the world is a crook paid by Hariri except Aoun and Kizbollah, Dori who is from Chamoun family who resist since 1975 is paid by Hariri, Amin who is from Gemayel family that give martyrs is paid by Hariri, Tante Eujenie who burn the la7m bi 3ajin because she was talking to Josefine is paid by Hariri, only 2ashraf 2al nas 3Ali 3Ammar, Bashar, Hassan, Aoun and Bassil don’t want money, they live very poor and they don’t take money, you try to give them money they say NO tahhir ni3ak before you give us money.
Allah yse3id 2al 3Awmiyeh because no one can help them on the earth.
29. kezballah | August 12th, 2008 at 7:13 am

Rima ya rima
On your 20 sweetheart,
I never expect to see a perfect work from an imperfect man, in other words, I am not expecting a miracle out of the 8th of march bcoz they’re not perfect leaders, but you do have to understand that the other side of the table (valentinos) are way behind their duty. You’re calling yourself indepedent while blaming all the crisis on the 8th of march leaders. You also have been attacking all non-valentinos readers on this blog by calling them names such as - into w ne7na ya syrians ya iranians , RIZ ALLAH 3LA 7AJEZ AL BARBARA
… ANYWAY, you need to watch your language at first b4 asking us to do so , plz have some respect for the decent guys in here .
Rima, I THINK THE FIRST DUTY OF SOCIETY IS JUSTICE,and this is what we’re missing in lebanon. Ya words are powerful but not powerful enough to bring all killers to the light . Talk is cheap, actions are needed to achieve political goals sometimes ya rima…. dont blame the 8th of march for their actions , blame the 14th of march for their political ignorance. Simply, you cannot ignore the voice of the ppl especially when they represent more than 50% of you population!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS: Those who stand for nothing fall for anything. Ok rima !?? FALL FOR ANYTHING.AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED TO THE VALENTINOS AFTER THE DAW7A AGREMENT. THEY GOT NOTHING BUT A SLAP ON THE FACE.
sorry N10452 …

walla ya rima te7leeletik metel te7leelet ja3ja3.
kezballa enta manta2ak manta2 ewatji . what else can u expect from someone who was forced to leave school and go in the streets killing ppl in the name of defending amn el mojtama3 el masee7i.
walla ana bhanni dori bi mou2awametou since 1975. all what we heard about him was the fact that he sold his father’s house in sa3diyet to hariri because he needed money. then when he spent it he started begging hariri again for money until 2005 when hariri son put him on payroll to pay him for the services of attacking aoun. same for ur hakim who was taken out of jail the same day hariri took the salafiyyi out ie with the same marsoom because they can issue one marsoom for all criminals in one day. he was taken out of jail and put on hariri’s payroll for the price of attacking aoun and weakening the christians so that hariri and his march 14 gang can rule lebanon. later on ja3ja3 proved to be a failure because aoun is getting stronger so now hariri is thinking of taking ja3ja3 name off the payroll. jombi is in favour and ilou fatra 3am biylammi7 bi hal shi ennou ma badou el ewet 3a laway7ou in next elections.
haram hal m3atreen won’t find a 7aleef in 2009.
34. Rima | August 12th, 2008 at 8:19 am
Sorry N for this twist in the subject…But in the 2009 elections a lot of money(mal al naziff al iranii)millions and millions will be injected in the Metn and elsewhere to gather supporters for aoun…and maybe the 14th March won’t make it…and probably christians who vote for aoun will make aoun their batrak il salam ala issmou…but once Iran in power Lebanon will be pure wilayat al fakih and everyone else will be smashed including kawmieh and aounieh…shou am yaatoukon masari ala sawad your eyes…That is a good sinario…
I know why kawmieh are upset with sunnis and calling them salfieh…In akkar, a sunni stronghold, kawmiey timarjalooo ala Future followers and clashed with them …9 kawmee were killed haram…that is not wise…already we saw the kawmiey hamajieh burning future TV is that what you are looking for kawmieye?…
35. Silvana | August 12th, 2008 at 8:58 am
I visit this blog daily, I like reading others’ take on events more than contributing, Because frankly I read and listen to the news and I’m always astonished and do not seem to understand current events and the way our politicians function. Guys here do seem to vary in opinions and ideas except for the Aounists (carbon copies of each other).
I agree with Mickel and Kezballah about the food posts, I miss the taste of Lebanese food when away. We have a lot of Lebanese restaurants here but they taste nothing like Lebanon.
Rima, el2awmiyi are calling the sunnis criminals now but they forgot when they aided them in the seventies to enter and butcher Christian villages in Akkar. In the Talabbas massacre where 15 men were buthchered, they were helped by the 2awmiyi. So now the Aounists ally themselves with such scum and criticize the other side. In the latest events, the SSNP followers wanted to stir trouble as usual- their only way to survive in Lebanon is through chaos- and they got burnt.
Innou the christians in Lebanon only have themselves to blame with what is happening currently.

Ya Mule, if u r so much into z concept of payroll, know this; I once headed the HR dept in a huge company whose owner is one of z businessmen who provides Aoun n his family wz pocket money.
I had to process so many checks, either for a purchase of a LCD, new kitchen, new camera for Aoun, Gibran n his daughters.
Just to show u how little is ur Aoun, he has no problem calling personally my previous employer to ask for a digital camera.
Furthermore, one of my relatives, a prominent businessman, used to spend so much money on Aoun n his daughters, when they were still in France, n when z daughters came back to Lebanon.
So plz spare us zs cr*p n grow up.
PS: Sorry N for getting out of the subject!

the only source of money being injected in metn is hariri . christians are already warning hariri that money won’t work in metn to twist their minds. christians are wiser than being offered money to sell their concious . dameer el masee7iyyi is in one place :RABIEH . no money will change that fact.

Great Blog N !
what i respect the most about you , is that you have a self critical mind , although most of the times your focus is on Aoun…but still you criticise march 14 people alot and show their mistakes to many ignorant people out there!
Keep the good work and God bless !
47. Rima | August 13th, 2008 at 4:55 am
Arze
I like your comment.Do you criticize Aoun and other 8th March as well? Do you have a self critical mind like N?
I hope I can read for the first time some critiques from aounis regarding some politicians who change their principles as they change their shoes.

N, Your blog has given me some perspective on events in our troubled region.
While none of your readers, it appears, have any love for my country, there are some who don’t wake up every morning HATING it and the people who live here.
Recently I notice an upsurge of development here in every sphere. An incredible blossoming of the arts, sciences and new roads, bridges, appartment buildings all around. Sometimes i feel that i am living in a construction site.
Congratulations to Lebanon for good results at the Olympic games.
I appreciate that this is a political blog, but i personally would like to have a few comments of a positive nature on events in our Northern neighbour, lebanon.

By events I mean every day happenings.
There is a life beyond politics. How many of your readers actually live in Lebanon? Is it mainly a blog for expatriates?

Thanks, Paul. Like I said, always a few(too few} righteous people are capable of raising their heads above all attempts to brainwash them.
Best wishes.
