The Blog or “weblog” is an old phenomenon that has been spreading very fast lately, especially in the Middle East region. It is mainly accepted as a sort of journalism, and is even becoming a threat to newspapers whereas amateur net users are slowly taking the roles of columnists, reporters and analysts.

Founding a blog for The LF members is a great idea and a pioneer one since no Lebanese political group has done it before. The LF since its foundation by Pr.Bashir Gemayel has always been known for taking initiatives in all fields, either socially or politically or economically.

During Dr.Geagea’s jail time for 11 years (1994-2005), LF militants persecuted by the Syrians and Pro-Syrian Lebanese intelligence, were forced to leave Lebanon but still managed to spread their cause worldwide through the net.

From founding one of the first, if not the first Lebanese political forum that is still running till now (www.lebanese-forces.org), to founding debate rooms and of course multiple sites, this Blog idea comes as another pioneer idea which will surely be copied by others in the near future.

Freedom of opinion is a sacred concept for us LFers and we have given away thousands of martyrs defending that freedom and our country Lebanon. The least we can offer LFers is a free opinion page where they can express themselves on LF and non-LF related issues.

While forums keep on providing healthy and democratic debates between several members, a blog will give individuals an extra opportunity to write editorials and critiques for all to see and comment on.

Taking initiatives, preserving freedoms and being pioneers in our society were always the backbone of the LF and we are hopefully regaining this reputation and recovering from the years of persecution and the total paralyze of our institutions and party.

That’s all I have to say, it was a simple intro I thought of.

Finally, My Best Regards to my good friend and great LFer for coming up with this great idea.

Wanabka Mou2assasa Na7wa el Moustaqbal.

The idea of blogs is a good one. I would just like to say the issues confronting the Arab Christian & Muslims is not one of Christians -vs-Muslims or Sunnis -vs-Shiites. Brother Col. in Libya summed up the issue of our times well when he says we are in a stuggle for the dignity of the Arab people and since Arabs who are Christians and Arabs who are Sunnis and Arabs who are Shiites then the common factor binding us together is not religion but the fact we are all Arab. Religious conflicts should take a backseat to the restoration of the dignity of the Arab peoples through the liberation of Arab lands from foreign occupation armies & foregin funded occupation armies. I believe one thing we should all be proud of is the fact we are Arabs and it doesn’t matter if you are a Christian Arab or a Sunni Arab or a Shiite Arab.

    There was this guy see.
He wasn’t very bright and he reached his adult life without ever having learned “the facts”.
Somehow, it gets to be his wedding day.
While he is walking down the isle, his father tugs his sleeve and says,

“Son, when you get to the hotel room…Call me”

Hours later he gets to the hotel room with his beautiful blushing bride and he calls his father,

“Dad, we are the hotel, what do I do?”

“O.K. Son, listen up, take off your clothes and get in the bed, then she should take off her clothes and get in the bed, if not help her. Then either way, ah, call me”

    A few moments later…

“Dad we took off our clothes and we are in the bed, what do I do?”

O.K. Son, listen up. Move real close to her and she should move real close to you, and then… Ah, call me.”

    A few moments later…

“DAD! WE TOOK OFF OUR CLOTHES, GOT IN THE BED AND MOVED REAL CLOSE, WHAT DO I DO???”

“O.K. Son, Listen up, this is the most important part. Stick the long part of your body into the place where she goes to the bathroom.”

    A few moments later…

“Dad, I’ve got my foot in the toilet, what do I do?”
