Preparing for Elections 2009
Posted by N10452While the Doha agreement urged Lebanese political factions to form their national unity government, Both M14 & M8 parties were aware that forming this government is almost impossible and is the first step to start preparing for Elections 2009.
Hezbollah doesnt even care about this new government. Nabih Berri is wasting time and flying soon to Spain then Canada, Saad Hariri is barely giving out statements, Jumblatt from time to time. They all know that this government’s lifetime is 10 months and it is more crucial to start working on the decisive Elections in 2009.
While Shiites, Sunnites & Druzes are not worried about elections, Divided Christians will be the ones giving the advantage to one team over the other, and as expected, they are fighting to be equally represented.
The LF wants as many seats as Aoun.
Aoun wants to score more points after he lost his last chance of becoming president and is asking for more seats everytime. He simply wants to show off as a strong Christian leader to prepare for the next elections.
I was told Otv is re-broadcasting the Ehden episode, which is another clear propaganda against M14 parties ( mainly LF & Kataeb). FPM are preparing their offices from now and i suggest the LF does the same because the next elections will be very crucial ones.
As for forming a government, we lasted numerous months without a president, and two years without a downtown and a “not-recognized” government, so why not 11 months without a government ?
And the victim of course is the Lebanese people, but is also to be blamed for following like sheep those so-called politicians.

No N you are wrong! They are not “so-called politicians”, these vagabonds are the “real” kind of politician. You can smell them before you see them…like cheese or shunkleash:-)

De ma part je ne trouve aucune partie qui peut réellement me représenter en tant que chrétien.
Originaire de Zahlé, il y a skaff et marouni.
je voterais pour marouni malgré que je déteste amin gemayel .
Les résultats des élections sont connus : les chrétiens vont être de plus en plus séparés(50% aoun, 50% 14mars), les sunnites et les chiites plus unifés.

Now it is up to us the citizens to have our say in that elections, we should not be influenced by anyone, and let us vote for the best (if it does exist).
For myslef, I didn’t vote not once in my life, and I still refuse to do so with this kind of politicians we have.

I can’t believe how wasted we are….how many opportunities we are loosing. the region is booming, oil is at 150, economies are prospering and we are fighting 8 and 14…how stupid are we?? wake up people!!! arabs are now buying most of US’s debt and there will be a shift of power if the $ keeps falling… we are careless of our future, we can stay endlessly without a government simply because our leaders are preparing for a next round to scre.w us again and again..we are like a prostitute enjoying continuous rounds of f…..

Guys
If you look at this issue the other way around, you will see that in the coming elections the ball is in our field. Since Sunnis and Chias are united this means that the christians will decide on the result and final outcome.
Unfortunately, if the results will end up being on 8th of March side we should only blame ourselves as christians.

N10452, have you ever considered the Kataeb and Tayyar and the Armenians teaming up? It’s not far fetched…
In my opinion, we need Christians on both side of the political spectrum.

I have never voted for my sect or my religion, the only reason i liked March 14 was the fact they are really mixed with one cause. I think we need to focus on winning as a group rather than winning as a sect.
I was hoping we can start to promote the unified M14 to be able to win.
Only then this group will start winning votes from the other side, when we start to represent the country rather than our sects and religions.

I don’t know what’s the point in the parlimental elections, 14 march already got more the majority and it won’t get the 67% next elections, so what 14march will be able to do later if they won the elections that they can’t do now?

You keep saying no one represents us correctly. Ma ya fatahel, the only one who was never in the hekem and was always asking to be so he can change your views is the one whom you are against.

Otherwise, follow March 14 who have ruled for the past 15 years and alwys get the same results. Remember what Einstein said: u always get same results if you do things the same way over and over again.
