Hassan Nasrallah reassured us yesterday that he wishes to drag us the Lebanese into a regional and maybe an international war against Israel.

Hezbollah’s Secretary General no longer wants to kick Israel out of Lebanon, but wants to eliminate Israel.

Killing Moghnieh outside Lebanese soil was “taking the fight outside the natural battlefield”, and
“You have crossed the borders” he said.

“Mughniyeh’s blood will lead to the elimination of Israel. These words are not an emotional reaction,” he said.

How can this speech reflect on us Lebanese ?

This simply means that the July war is not yet over, and that a second round btw Israel & Hezbollah is certain now, and of course more destruction and death will be coming our way. This speech killed any plans for a future Lebanon for the next 3 years, killed any plans for relaunching our economy, killed any hopes left for foreign investors to come back to Lebanon, reassured our new generations that their future is outside Lebanon.

The outcome of this war however will change the country’s fate for either a long term positive one or a troubled uncertain future aggravated maybe by another bloody civil war.

The only way out of this disastrous war is a complete divorce with Hezbollah, a separation from them like Jumblatt suiggested.
If that aint gonna happen, well then you better start preparing your basements because we are on our way for one heck of a war .. a life or death war, a final decisive one.

It might not start soon, Hezbollah hinted that it might attack Israeli institutions outside Israel, like they did in 1994 by bombing the Israeli embassy in Bueno Aires, but Israel has a final word to say and it is just a matter of time.

Additionally, we have the American/Iranian struggle in the region as well which will reflect on the Israeli-HA war and on Lebanon as well. Let us not forget that the drums of a new civil war are beating faster everytime.

One quote resumes how close are we to a new civil war, a friend mentioned it to me yesterday.
“I will, however, say with extreme caution that if Washington and Tehran seek conflict badly enough, they will have a Lebanese Civil War.”

Finally, March 14 leaders should consider stoppping their demonstrations and start thinking about a serious plan for the future, we still dont have a president and living in a deadlock .. serious measures must be taken and as soon as possible.

There will never be a final decisive one. This will just be another round that will decide the fate of the next decade…

    Pessimism is not the answer.

Rather than prepare my basement, I continue to study Italian (a hobby) and to improve my water colour painting.

Nasrallah will go the way of Hitler.

Good will overcome evil in the final analysis.

All that is needed for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing. When people take that course evil has its way until all is reduced to waste. Then evil can do no more and will depart until “good” rebuilds. So good doesn’t necessarily “overcome” evil, if you do nothing evil will have its way and abandon the battlefield after it is over. Good “overcoming” evil like this is the type of battle to be avoided.

War is the only way by which HA will go down the drain., unless Syria and Iran collapse first.

Solomon 2, You are quite right, but as I have reached the age of eighty years,I may be forgiven for doing nothing to cambat evil. Besides, I contribute to this blog and try to draw the readers attention to the fact that there are other aspects of life beyond war and martyrdom.
That is perhaps a very little something.

Then (from your post), it is obvious Hezbollah’s sincerity and seriousness to make sure it will Not disregard any Israeli behaviour of killing Lebanese, Violating Lebanese Airspace, Return Mazare Shebaa, and respect the natural borders (if any) of water and other natural resources.

If Hebozllah is So sincere - Why Not Israel Respect That?

For those who say: “Hezbollah wants to keep their weapons” - for say, taking over the Arab world and converting it to Shiites or take over the world.
“…and to hell with Israel, cause Hezbollah’s cause is really to convert the Sunnies or take over Lebanon” How absurd does this sound ?

Lebanese, Christians, Muslims, Druze and all 18 sects including Lebanese Jews will easily live together when not interfered by abroad, especially its close neighbors. If they treat us today like this, what makes you think they won’t look at us like that 10 years down the road?
