When you say "these animals", you forgot that your grandparents, or your grandparents' parents, were considered "Syrian" before the declaration by General Gouraud of forming the new "State of Greater Lebanon" in September 1920, then the "upgrade" of the state to the "Republic of Lebanon" in 1926.
