Why should we go into war with israel, because some palestinian loved money more than his country. why should we be the only ones who defend the palestinan cause, and they are the ones who tried to occupy our land.

and the scenario you mentioned above, should be applied on the syrian who occupied all of lebanon and intervened in our politics and took our decision and tortured us and shut our mouthes and took our freedom. All that israel did was take a small peice of our land (which i don’t blame her for) to make a barrier to protect her citisens from hallucinating islamic maniacs who want to blow themselves, and for what cause, God only knows.

enough with your crap and little red riding hood stories. Grow up and face the reality for once in your life, and see that arabs are people who can be bought with the cheapest price, and the biggest example for you is the palestinians who sold there lands, and H.A who sold his decision to Syria and iran in return of money (mal nazif) and weapons, which is the only way they can exist in lebanon, coz they can never compete on an educational and cultural level with other existing lebanese sacts …

first of all, i don’t hear you talking about syrian withdrawal, even though collectively syria still holds more lebanese land than the shebaa farms and bekaa valley combined, to say nothing of HA/march 8, of syrian intelligence, etc.

second of all, how is it you can talk like this and then in the same post say, “Isreal needs an enemy at all the time”? First of all, N did a fine job to show that that’s bs. But second, how come you don’t think to say the same about HA?

also, i like what jim said about aounis… what FPMers used to say about israel (sort of like what aoun used to say in interviews like the one with CBN and the one with aljazeera) is what we are saying here… but since aoun changed his mind, our position on israel is nolonger “accepted,” and we are considered a shame. for what? for not changing our mind like aoun and FPMers? for sticking to the traditional view?

Ali: don’t give me that “israel doesn’t want to see a strong lebanon” garbage. israel has had no problem to make peace with egypt and jordan and to compete with them with ideas and politically and economically rather than with militaries. and according to you and arze’s view, if israel was really worried about HA, all they would really have to do is withdraw from the bekaa and the shebaa right? no need to respond to HA when they attack you right? lol yeah ok guys.

listen, the arab countries love to see hamas fight, love to see HA fight, because it takes the attention off of their corrupt regimes and keeps the focus of the people and the hate of the people on israel. and that’s that. johnny b.’s right, if you’re going to accuse israel of wanting HA to exist in order to continue the fight, why is it impossible for you to see it the other way around? and anyway, at least the reason we say the arabs want to see the fight continued makes sense. unlike your accusation about israel, which has demonstrated a willingness to make peace (i already mentioned egypt and jordan, ongoing negotiations with the PA and syria, etc.) and to compete in non-military ways.

Arze: in your bullshit scenario, what is the money? you defined the money as the land and the prisoners.. what did israel steal from lebanon in 1948 when we followed syria into war against them!?! did israel have lebanese prisoners before 1948? did they have lebanese land before 1948?

And if the only reason China doesn’t war with America and America doesn’t war with China is because both have nuclear weapons, then how come America didn’t war with China before, when America had nuclear weapons and China didn’t? It’s bullshit. The reason China and America don’t war is because even though both have verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry different ideas about government, society, economy, etc. etc. etc., both are determined to compete in non-military ways, i.e., on the level of ideas, on the level of the society, politically, economically, etc. not militarily.

how come israel doesn’t attack egypt or jordan? israel has nuclear weapons, and egypt and jordan don’t. by your logic, israel would be attacking egypt and jordan with no problem. BUT THEY DON’T.
