It is sad to see LF fighting over a website after all those Years of war and economic hardship and high percentage of immigration on top of being number one enemy of syria and its dogs in lebanon and on the list of unwanted party in Lebanon. As a member of the LF and as many of U are , I fought and sacraficed many years of my youth for the cause and seeing U biggering over who is official and who is not seems not only pathetic but egnorant.U all say U want democracy in the LF , so obey it and work it to UR benefit and if for some reasons U dislike the Hakim, when elections come do not vote for him , and till then stop the hate among ourselves and unite , the enemy is on the door.We paid a high prize for Lebanon and the christians , do not fail the community.

The LF is not what it used to be back in the days, i understand times have changed but we should be united not divided. Time have made us weak. It seems to me that we are spectators watching form the sideline unable to do anything or take a stand in what we beleive. I think the LF party was destined to be doomed back on that september day in 1982.

A-When did we deny our identity, and what is your identiy other than Lebanese.

A-who is praising what, and for how long we need to live in our history, we learn from it for our future not live it.

A-Because we need to have new page with the Druze we need to make it easier for our commrads to go back without fear, have`t you heard of a man who blessed his killers, if not read the bible.

A-There is a country that is more important for it to servive, than a bell because if this country ceased to exist, you`ll never need a bell.

A-None of the old officers wanted to work within the ranks, they all wanted to be something big they all wanted everything or nothing, no one put them away they put themselves away, these days are for THINK TANKER not TANK OPERATORS, as for st. Dear N,

Please accept my words as a fellow supporter of the LF.

The LF is a cause and not a man. The LF is a movement and not a website or a party. The LF is in my opinion what being Lebanese is all about. Many people don’t understand this about the LF. I believe you do.

Today in the USA, George Bush is the least popular president in modern history ( by reputable polls). His term will end in November with an election.

To this day the LF never had elections nor was ever a party that functioned with practical democratic rules that could remove a leader from power like the example I gave of the USA presidential election.

I am sure that you and I are hoping for the day that we will be able to be a part of a democratic party that can enable dissenters and different opinions and even allow change of the leadership based on performance.

I agree that there are many differences between the Hakim of old and the Hakim today. There are differences between the LF positions of old and the positions today.

Lebanon , the coutry has changed too in these 13 years that have passed since he went to Jail.

What you are saying is that you do not accept the Hakims leadership at all. Not you or Boulos or Cedars or any of the Admins.

To tell you the truth I accept your resistance and your position.

I dont respect the way you are doing it. Today Samir Geagea has the respect and acceptance as a the Leader for the overwhelming majority of LF members and supporters. If there was an election he would win by easily 80% if not 90% of members. The reason for this is because there are no other candidates who are more inspiring and if you have met him, you would agree that he is an amazing human with a big heart and alot of honesty. He is also highly educated and intelligent. I have no doubt that he has many faults and many bad people around him. I have no doubts that he is behind the times with technology and the internet in general. THERE WAS NO INTERNET WHEN HE WENT TO JAIL. At least not how it is today.

I have no doubts that he is now becoming a politician as opposed to a leader of a militia and a cause where you can say anything you want and to hell with the rest.

I urge you to live up to your respect of laws and rules and push to change the LF by making your own group and own website and trying to change as many minds as possible.

You don’t know much about what I do with the LF in an official manner thats because I never speak about it but believe me I have been fighting the system from within and from outside and in every way I know possible to make a difference and make this LF into something democratic and something forward thinking and a party that others will look at and be amazed by.

I know all of your complaints and I urge you to understand that taking a confrontational position will not bring you more supporters even though your thoughts might be right.

Part of democracy is not behaving the way the other parties do.

Dr. Geagea is the worldwide recognized head of the LF by its supporters, by its members and by many many governmental representatives around the world.

Please respect this image of us and work to change it by being more intelligent , more honorable and more popular than what exists.

Don’t try and do it by this sad example of exercising a tiny little bit of power through a site that is registered in one persons name (cedars). I have tracked the sites through alexa.com and the new site gets far more traffic than this site even if the forum on the old one is popular.

The truth is both the the sites look like shit but at least one is up to date and growing and staffed. We should band together and offer whatever help we can. Design a new site and offer it free of charge to them. There are a million ways to make a difference.

This way is sad. I am ashamed to even continue writing about it. They say in life you have to pick your battles wisely. This is as unwise as I have ever seen.

You see how much I write here and how much I support your site even when I usd to have my own blog. But you never see me over there and that is for a reason of respect to the party and the Leadership. I may not agree with all of what is being done in the LF’s name but there is more good being done than bad. Believe me. I know first hand.

I think this is one of the better posts that have been written here recently. Sadly though, I believe Lebanon has always been like that across all the sects. The sheep dominate and the free thinkers are always cast out. That is why there will never be progress for our beloved country, as sheep will always be led to the slaughter, and they would be very happy with that. The funny thing is that the herd would trample anyone warning them and standing in their way of the slaughter (Ironic indeed). When Samir came out of prison, I thought that now is the time for the christians to be injected with life and start working towards a better Lebanon, thinking, working, building, and bringing the country to life but alas, so far from the truth. Instead of bieng a uniter and creating a democtratic free movement where all the christians would stand under one banner, the LF ended up bieng just like any other party. What is really funny though, is that the sheep will now call us traiters, and will say “go join Aoun”, or “you love syria”, or “you are not loyal to the cause”, and the best of all “we don’t need the likes of you”. Sadly though, the last statement is correct, as sheep cannot handle free thought, all they need is a bell to follow. In my heart I will be an LFer till I die, and no one can take that away from me. But my loyalty is to God, Lebanon, to the cause, and to the blood of our martyrs. To that and that only will I forever remain faithfull, and never will I follow a person. With all that said, we should not be devided, and we should always try hard to change the system. We don’t need more parties, we need to fix the ones we have….
