How to deal with Jumblatt?

How to deal with Jumblatt ? by simply ignoring him.

I keep asking myself and all readers and M14 supporters why are you guys so surprised or shocked or insulted by Jumblatt’s speeches or twists ? He hasn’t changed since the 1980s, this is the only constant in Jumblatt’s political career and this should be our only basis.

He misses Syria … so what ?
He is getting back on good terms with HA … so what ?
He wants to revive Quartet Alliance even though he denies it … so what ?

The man cares about two things, himself and the Druze community. Lebanon, South, Arab Cause, Palestinians are all big cliches he plays with from time to time.

Jumblatt is the biggest loser from those elections, whereas M14 Christians took some of his seats and his bloc was reduced, but then again Jumblatt needs the Christian votes in the Mountain and it won’t be Aoun giving it to him in the next elections …

Sami Gemayel & Samir Geagea hit back @ Jumblatt, and it didn’t take long for him to correct his stance on the “Quartet Alliance revival”. [...]

All i know is that this is a crucial moment for all Lebanese Christians (M14 & M8), a wake up call to meet, dialogue and settle the differences and come out with a solid gathering despite all the differences between them on all levels.

The Christians need to be playing the referee’s role, not follow one side against the other and only by retaining this role, they can dream of getting back their rights and privileges …

    The Christians must be the leaders of Lebanon and not referees for anyone!

    Lebanon is synonym to Christians, nothing less!

    Great post N, I want to add one point: Did anyone notice how all the M8 are quiet about Jumblat statements? Even the M8 Christians, where is Aoun. where is Frangieh? Shouldn’t they also reply about the Jabha Islamiya that Jumblat proposed? Aren’t they Christian leaders and patriarchs? Why only we ask where is the M14 Christians Geagea and Gemayel? Shou ne7na mkhallfino la Jumblat?

    but the M8 Christians received their instructions fresh from Damascus to stay quiet on Jumblat who is crawling back on the Damascus road, why else we are not seeing their heroics on TV?

    The M14 Christians are making Jumblat’s trip much harder by not replying to him, he is looking hard for any reason to please the old Syrian master again, so Yalla Jumblat we understand you are squeezed and you want mousala7a with Bashar “3ala tariqtak” as you said many times, we know what is tariqtak and I am willing to hear your stupid comments if I get to enjoy watching you struggle out of the M!4 principles, it is not easy to break away from being a free patriotic Lebanese you will look so bad no matter how hard you try to hide it, just ask Aoun ;-)

    Ignore the guy ? What if the guy takes his mps to m8s table ? I feel for M8 , I really do, they have to deal with loyalits who lies and use their martyrs to gain power !! What a shame !

    Your wake up call aint gonna be heard my friend.. 2 late habibi.. you guys got bankrupted by junblat and now are asking your political opponent in m8 to correct your mistake and stand by your side la2inun massi7iye ?.. eh mbala great logic !!

    Jumblatt flip flops more than the sandle that bears its name. Soon enough, when the tide changes again (depending on regional changes) Jumblatt is the first to align with the ‘big battalion’.

    We want to hear the patriarch of the Christians in all the East attack Jumblat and defend us, we want the Patriarch of the North where are they? Why is M8 welcoming Jumblat with open arms, he is no longer a killer and liar and and and?

    you ignorant fool, gemayel takes the full responsability of the christian’s ordeal , he should be hanged by his b-a-l-l-s.
    as for geagea he was a good leader during the war but thats it, he commited since his release a lot of political fouls and mistakes, and is continuing
    u thought the war was over with HA by winning the election??so what??? wer at square zero! the war has only begun, we need an extremist leadership inside the L.F, im not aiming cheap shots for the sake of aiming them,geagea demonstrated to me that he is a weak leader, and is reminding me of amin. we need someone like SAMY, hes a great leader, and he represents me as an L.F more than geagea

    As for actual politics, Do I look like an Amin Gemayel supporter to you?… All Gemayels including your beloved SAMY don’t really think about any of their actions or statements, they just do it, then they go around trying to sneek out of it….
    Your beloved Samy and his dad have no problem visiting Frangieh since they blamed the Ehden massacre on Geagea….

    As for Geagea’s weakness… Looks like you’re one of these hot-headed guys who just react without thinking about any of the effects of their actions…. You’re better off following the Gemayels…. Go join Kataeb, assl el bala taba3na (ehden massacre, safra massacre, Amouna not sending the army to the mountains because of his dismay toward Geagea….)

    الأكيد أن الاستمرار في التصفيق لجنبلاط على “براعته في قراءة المتغيرات والتغيّر معها” ليس أمراً جميلاً.
    يبدو العماد ميشال عون محقاً جداً في رفضه الاجتماع مع وليد جنبلاط قبل حصوله على تعهد من الأخير أن يعتذر عن تفريغه منطقة الشوف من معظم مسيحييها وبدئه العمل الجدي ليعود هؤلاء ليسكنوا بلداتهم.

    Samy’s pushing it with his extremism…. He still talks like we’re in the golden ages…. This is politics we’re dealing with, no more weapons, no more sadem…. again, Sami might have good intentions but he’s lost touch with reality….
    Plus the Gemayels still refuse to take any responsibility for the ehden massacre, visiting Frangieh and trying to corner Geagea… This is low
